Its last day of year 2008!

Finally today is the last day of year 2008. Now I have to start thinking of what is my New Year's resolution for 2009. Too tired to think now... Tomorrow then think. Ha Ha.

Went to watch movie "Australia" with 小珠 at 1.50pm. The movie ends at around 4.45pm (long show). This is a very good movie and worth to watch. It was so touching that I "sacrificed" a few drop of tears at the ending part.

Our team was invited to my boss new house for a gathering tonight. We have fun talking and playing with the kids there.

In few minutes time, it is 2009! Wishing all Happy New Year! Cheers!

Year End Lunch

Today, we had our team's Year End Lunch at No-Signboard restaurant (Vivo). Reservation was at 12.30pm and as usual, we were late again. We reached there at about 1pm! We hurried to the restaurant to meet our boss who was on leave. Worried that he will start to nag again for our lateness. But... to our surprise, he was not there yet. Phew! Lucky uh...

He arrived at about 1.20pm. Not too sure whether it was because he was unable to get a carpark lot or... he purposely late because he knew that we definitely will be late. Ha ha...

The food was so-so only and we decided not to take the dessert but to proceed to Haagen-Dazs for ice-cream.

Initially, I ordered 2 scoops own creation ice-cream that costs $11.90. Each additional topping costs $1. The staff recommended me another one which costs $13.90 with 2 scoops of ice-cream, 2 types of toppings and a cone waffle. This is more worth right?

小珠 ordered 1 scoop of own creation ice-cream that costs $8.90. Wow! So expensive uh. The staff actually suggested to get 2 scoops of ice-cream at $11.90. My boss commented should might well take 3 scoops at $13.90! More worth with additional $2 only. Ha ha... too much liao. 小珠 can't finish lah.

We finished our lunch + dessert by 3.45pm. What a long lunch. With bloated stomach, we headed back office and started to rush for our work. Before that, 小珠 and I went to purchase movie tickets for tomorrow afternoon. Got the 1.50pm show for "Australia" with rather good seats at GV Max.

Here we go.... Look forward for tomorrow. Why leh? B'cos its half day tomorrow. Hee hee. :)

Newly found antiques at home...

It has been few days since my last post. Today, I have discovered some "antiques" at home. My mum was doing some housekeeping for my dad's stuff and found some of hers and my dad's "antiques".

These 2 magazines are as old as 1983 and look at the 2 coins, one is 1971 series five cents and the other is current twenty cents coin. They are of same size! See how big is the size of the five cents coin...

Jingle Bell Vs Happy Birthday

Jingle bell. Jingle bell. Jingle all the way.... It's Christmas day finally! My plan today is to stay at home and attend my niece's birthday party. Her actual birthday is on Boxing Day (26th Dec) and we are celebrating one day in advance.

We bought a log cake as usual and I had a small piece of it before going out. It tastes so good. The cake is from Prima Deli. After a while, we took a taxi to the party venue at Jurong East.

Arrived at the venue with my parents and younger sister at 5.30pm. All my nieces were there and we had fun. I ate a lot and felt so sinful after eating...

Today is rather a relaxing day for me and time really flies. It is near to end of the day and tomorrow has to go back to work. However, I am looking forward for tomorrow as it is Friday again. Just one more day to go before weekend. Goodie goodie.

Count down to Christmas

2 more days and its Christmas! 1 more day and its Christmas eve! Lame uh. Everyone also knows that. Ha ha.

Am counting down to Christmas eve because...... I only need to work half day tomorrow! Yippy Yippy :)

Have plan with 小珠 to have lunch together and catch a movie after work. We bought tickets for "Igor" rather last minute after work today and thought that movies "Australia" and "Bedtime Stories" yet to be screened tomorrow. Ai yah.... tomorrow start already lah. Just got to know only after purchasing of tickets. Too bad lor. Anyway, we still can watch on Friday and next week. Hee hee....

Think the most surprising part is : There are NO subtitles for "Igor"! Oh my god! I will have a hard time liao. Still prefer to have subtitles as I've already get use to it liao (actually the truth is : I can't catch up with what they are talking about and end up don't understand the full story). 没办法．．．

Well, time for me to continue my Japanese drama "Code Blue".

Monday blue

Its Monday again. So fast.... How I wish weekend can be longer. This morning when I woke up, still trying to recall which day is today. Sunday or Monday.... After few minutes of daydreaming, finally I remembered it is MONDAY. Dragged myself to wake up and prepare for work.

During lunch time, went to buy some Christmas presents for my nieces. Realised that it is so difficult to find presents for children.

Christmas is approaching and I kind of in holiday mood liao. Happy that it is finally year end and can enjoy the festive holidays but sad that a fresh new year is coming too and has to start all over again (ie. In Jan 2009, will tend to look forward to Dec 2009). That's life. Isn't it?

Well, now I shall enjoy my night by watching Jap drama "Code Blue".

Lame uh

Its Sunday again. My elder sister family came to our house as usual. It had been 3 weeks since I saw my niece and she seems to grow taller again. She told me that she will be taller than me one day and I think she will.

My sister gave me riddles to guess answer. I couldn't get it and got the answers from my sister. The answers are very lame indeed. Riddles go like this :

(1) 叉烧包 and 馒头 went to watch sad movie. Only 叉烧包 cried. Why?
(2) 叉烧包 and 大肉包 went to watch sad movie. Only 大肉包 cried. Why?
(3) 叉烧包 and 豆沙包 went to watch sad movie. Only 豆沙包 cried. Why?
(4) Whenever 馒头 goes shopping, definitely has to go with 叉烧包. Why?

Answers are :

(1) B'cos 叉烧包 has "fillings" which is equal to "feelings".
(2) B'cos they have different "fillings". I thot answer is because 大肉包 has more "fillings".
(3) B'cos 叉烧包 watched the same movies 3 times already.
(4) B'cos 馒头 has no taste.

Lame right? Ha ha ha.

Last Train Last Bus

Just watched movie "Twilight" with 小珠 at Vivo City. The movie started at 9.20pm and we had Ben & Jerry ice-cream as our dinner tonight. We are too full to have proper dinner. Must be our heavy lunch at KFC that made our stomach don't feel hungry.

It ended at 11.40pm and we headed to train station. On our way to the station, announcement was made that last train was leaving the station. Wow... we started to walk faster in order not to miss the train. 小珠 is staying at west while I am staying at east hence we have to change trains at Outram station. Both of us managed to catch the last trains too and for me, managed to catch the last feeder bus home when reached Pasir Ris station. Otherwise, I have to exercise by walking home from the bus interchange. This is the first time I had experienced catching for last trains and bus.

I would say that "Twilight" is worth watching. Robert Pattinson who played Edward Cullen as the vampire, is so cool. So does the Cullen family members.

What an exciting Friday night for me. じゃね. TGIF :)

Donut Donut Donut

Today, I had my lunch at Bukit Merah. My colleague had drove us there and to our surprise, the hawker centre was closed for renovation. What a disappointment... There goes my fishball noodles.

We decided to change the venue to another foodcourt nearby and taken a very hearty meal. We found a stall that sells very nice fried chicken. The chicken is tender and most importantly is, the chilli is so spicy and nice. With good appetite, we ordered Mee Rebus as additional dish.

After having our meal, we went to the nearby bakery store and bought my favourite donut. I have been eating donuts from this bakery since 15 years ago and the taste has never change.

What a wonderful trip. :)

Yummy Satay

Early morning, I already had a crave for satay. Hinted my dad that it has been a long time since he bought satay for dinner. He caught my hint and said he will settle tonight's dinner. Yippy Yippy!

Tired Tired Tired

Slept late last night and did not get good sleep. Felt so sleepy and tired for the whole day. Luckily I still can managed to complete my work and got out of office earlier (at 8.30pm which is consider early for me). Anxious to be home early so that I can continue my Naruto Shippuuden episode 86 to 88.

Heard from 小珠 that it was so exciting and I can't help longing to be home. I shall now start to watch the latest episodes.

Naruto! Here I come!

My first blog

This is my first time creating a blog. Very excited and trying to learn more on how to be a good blogger. Ha ha...
