Tired after back from work

Today is my first day of work after taking 2 weeks leave. Looked fresh in the morning but after many hours of being "hardworking", am so tired now.

My eyes are merging into 1 straight line soon. Barely can open them wide now. Guess have to sleep early tonight as tomorrow, will be going out with my parents and sister since it is a public holiday. My father finally has a chance to sit in my sister's new Mazda 2.

Shall play some games in facebook and take a rest. Luckily tomorrow no need to work. :p

Hot !!!

Hot. Very Hot. Extremely Hot.

This morning when I woke up, I was feeling so hot and sticky that I had to shower with cold water. In fact, the water was not cold at all. How I wished I could put in some ice to bring down the temperature. It was until around 3pm where there was a heavy downpour with thunder that made me feel cooler.

I slept late yesterday or I should say I slept late this am (around 5.3oam) as I was trying to clear all my emails. Perhaps due to I woke up late yesterday morning, I did not feel sleepy hence could stay up so late.

As usual, I cleared my emails during day time and at the same time, was trying to sort out some of the photos taken during my trip. I am extracting good shots that I can put as screensaver on my pc.

Nothing special today as I was staying indoor. Watch TV, eat titbits and clear emails. One more day for me to relax before going back to work on Thursday. Shall try to laze around as much as possible. Hee hee.

Back home

Finally I am back home. Touched down at around 1.50am this morning and reached home around 2.30am. Finished unpacking and slept at slightly before 5am.

When I woke up, supposed to quickly do my washing of clothes but was so surprised that my mum had already done it for me (I woke up at 11.45am). So good... ha ha. Must give her a treat liao.

Continue my unpacking of titbits/gifts etc and so shocked that I actually bought so much titbits back, although not all for myself lah. Luckily I brought a bigger luggage, otherwise I will have problem carrying all the stuffs back.

Now I am in the mid of clearing my office emails. Still has 400 of them to clear. Nevermind, I will do it slowly since I am still on leave till Wed. Be back in office on Thur.

Transferred my photos to pc and glad that most of them are well taken. Especially the tulips photos. Under hot sun, the tulips colours are real nice like postercard. My sun tanned is worth it. :)

Have no time to give an update yesterday before flying back. These are some photos taken while waiting for Narita express train to airport. Look at how big Takashimaya Shinjuku is. We went to airport early so that we can shop around Narita area. Went to Aeon shopping mall to eat the ramen. The egg is so nice which is half-boiled york (similar to the one sold in Marutama at The Central).

Chichibu ~ Ikebukuro

It was a rainy day today. The forecast was so accurate that it rained from last night till now (at this very moment). We went to 芝桜の丘 at Chichibu this morning to view *Shiba-zakura" (means lawn-cherry blossom) carpet at Hitsuji-yama park (羊山公園). However, we cannot have the best view because of the rain. Too bad....

We went back to Ikebukuro in the evening and visited Namjatown at Sunshine City. We ate different types of gyoza, cake and ice-cream. Too bad we only have one stomach each, cannot eat much more. Keep it for our next trip.

On our way back, bought Mister Donut again for our supper. Tonight is the last night here so must eat again.

That's all for today. Tomorrow will fly back to Singapore and will be end of our trip. So sad....

Roppongi ~ Akasaka ~ Ginza ~ Akihabara

Today is our shopping day. We went to TV Asahi at Roppongi followed by lunch with our Japanese colleagues. Intention was just to meet up with them for a short while but they insisted to have lunch with us. Found a little restaurant that was opened by Singaporean there (I guess so).

After the lunch, we went to TBS Studio at Akasaka. This place is much more interesting than TV Asahi. Took some pictures there. Huge poster with Miura Haruma there too. It is to advertise for new movie Zero II.

Bought Burberry Blue Label bag at Ginza. Can't resist the temptation. Ohhh, I managed to buy Meichan photobook at one of the bookstore there. So lucky can find it. Also by accident, bought another magazine (Junon new edition). In total, I bought 7 books during this whole trip. :P

I ate my favourite cakes at Almond Cafe. Finally managed to eat them. Last year we missed it as we were there too late and all cakes were finished. So nice... Yum Yum.

Also went to Misukoshi and bought some biscuits for gift. We bought 3 Agnes B bags on behalf of our very rich colleague.

Since still had some time, we went to Akihabara for a short while. However, during that short while, I bought a mini usb fan. Very cute, can use during my OT hours. But hopefully no need to use it (if I not working late).

We headed back to Shinjuku for our dinner. Ate ramen tonight. Very nice and this is the same stall we went to last year. Missed the pork based soup hence definitely must eat again.

Legs very aching while I am typing. Cannot stand properly. Bye now.

Asakusa ~ Harajuku ~ Shinjuku

Today is a shopping day for us. We went to Asakusa temple in the morning and ended up buying a bag after lunch time. Like the bag very much hence bought it without 2nd thinking.

After that we went to Harajuku and shopped at the Kiddyland. Was attracted to the things they are selling there and ended up buying some gifts for my niece, colleague and myself. Spent a few hours there. Imagine how absorbed I am.

As usual, went to eat the crepe there and took train back to Shinjuku as we intended to shop at Takashimaya. We took a very long way to find this building and was shocked that it is so big that we cannot finish going thru floor by floor. Ended up at the basement floor that sells food. Bought some biscuits for gifts and bought strawberries and bento set for our dinner.

Initially we intended to buy one packet at 630yen but saw that it costs 1050yen for 3 packets. Hence we decided to buy 3 packets and eat them for 3 days. Hope it will be sweet, otherwise we have to "get soured" for 3 days. Ha ha.

After so much walking for the full day, our legs are so tired and I simply don't want to walk. Dragged myself back to hotel and we are going to enjoy our dinner in the room. Bye for now. :)

Back to Tokyo ~ Shinjuku

This morning, we took trains back to Tokyo. Bought some bread for our "brunch". They were very tasty. Pumpkin and Melon with chocolate chips flavour. We are staying in Shinjuku Toyoko Inn. Same hotel which we stayed last year. Therefore need not waste time looking for its location.

As we are too early to check in, we kept our luggage in the hotel and went out. Intention was to go to Asakusa but due to my carelessness (never check that JR Asakusabashi station is not near to Sensoji temple), we had to change our plan to go to Ueno instead since it was more convenient to take a short train ride there.

We bought goodies for ourselves + colleagues and have our dinner at one of the restaurant. Today we ate fish meals... Tried their KFC new spicy miso flavour chicken strip. Yummy.

Back to Shinjuku, we went to Kinokuniya to look for the few magazines that I want to buy. Glad that I was able to buy 3 of them here (Okada Masaki new drama photobook, Best Actor vol 5 and Rookies photobook). Just missing one more drama photobook for Meichan no Shitsuji. Hope I can find it very soon.

Shall now go back to room and admire what I had bought today. Ohhh, forgot to mention that I also bought a very green colour tote bag. First time I buy such bright colour bag. Is it a symptom of getting old? No lah... its just that the colour is very nice. :P

Tonami

Today we went to Tonami to see Tulips. Though the annual Tulips fair has not yet started, there are already a lot of tulips around the park and gallery that made me like flower craze. There are so many different types of tulips and they are all so beautiful. Especially today the sun was so hot that made all tulips looked so beautiful when we took the photos. However, there is a price for it... We were all so hot and tanned. However, still think worth it lah.

It started to rain in the afternoon. Accurate forecast again. We proceeded to the Amaharashi coast and stayed there for a while before going back to Toyama.

Too hot in the morning, too windy in the afternoon and too wet in the late afternoon. Within one day, we experienced different weather. Tomorrow we are heading back to Tokyo. Need to pack our luggage hence may stay up late.

Seems it is a cloudy/rainy day again for tomorrow. Let's hope it won't rain until we reached hotel at Shinjuku.

Furukawa

Weather forecast reported that today will be a cloudy day. Indeed the forecast was so accurate. Can't see blue sky today.

Took 8am train to Hida Furukawa and reached there around 9.15am. It was very happening there as they were celebrating an annual festival there on 19 and 20th Apr. There were many stores set up for kids to play (catching gold fishes etc) and food stores like Takoyaki etc.

There were many visitors today as all were there to watch this annual event. Otherwise, this town will be very quiet. Lucky for us to choose this day to be there and we enjoyed ourselves there.

In the afternoon, we went to Imizu but as there were nothing much to see, we went back to Toyama. Guess what??? We could actually stayed in Kinokuniya bookstore for 3 hours! I bought Miura Haruma's photobook and 2 small casual bags.

Tomorrow we are going to Tonami to watch tulips. However, we won't be able to get into the park as the official Tulip festival starts only on 23th Apr. We can only visit their gallery. Hope can see some nice tulips there.
