NEX

Today is New Year's eve. We decided to have dinner outside hence went to NEX. Intention was to have early dinner to avoid crowd. My eldest sister called and said her family wanted to join us as they had no where to go and did not want to stay at home.

I suggested to have dinner at The Ship restaurant. We asked if we could reserve a table for 7 but was told the restaurant was full and could not accept reservation. However, we could get in first to wait for the rest. Since they allowed us to wait, we went in and wait lor. In the end, we were so pai sei... because we sat there for almost 1 hour before my sister and family came. Any way, we just don't care lor...

All of us ordered the lobster set. The food was good and can go there again. This was my 2nd visit. Initially we thought our niece had nothing to eat as there was limitation of menu choices today due to its New Year's eve. However, to our surprise, she said she wanted the lobster set with grilled chicken. Wow... big girl liao. She did finish her food.

Had a good dinner and we continued to shop until about 9.30pm. This was my first real shopping at NEX. Covered the 3rd and 4th floors. 4th floor is very big and I did not know there are so many stores there.

So tired after so much walking. Shall rest my legs for today...

Last movie of 2011

Office was extremely quiet in the afternoon as many of our colleagues went home earlier. The atmosphere was like CNY eve.

We left office at around 7pm and had dinner at Coffee Club before going for our movie at 9.05pm. I bought Groupon hence we could enjoyed 50% discount on whatever we ordered today. So good.... Ordered a plate of pasta, calamari and chicken wings. They were good.





Tonight, we watched the last movie for year 2011. This was the 35th movie we watched and although we did not hit last year's record, it was still quite a great achievement. Try to watch more next year. The more movies we watching, the more "relaxing" we are (as this makes us able to leave office earlier on every Friday). :P

This was a very exciting movie. We did not have any single minute to relax as it was so thrilling when aliens could appear anytime and anywhere. Great movie!

See doctor

Finally, I went to see doctor this morning. Queued for almost an hour and just talked to doctor in less than 5 mins. Really a longgggg wait. So many patients with just 1 doctor. Not balance lei....

Was feeling rather tired today as I did not have a very good sleep last night. Hope today I won't have same problem after taking medicine.

With my tiredness, I doubt I can watch any j-drama today. Aim is to sleep earlier and sleep well.

My younger sister is taking one day leave tomorrow. Do nothing but just takes leave to enjoy the long holiday. Shiok uh. Too bad I can't.

Bad nose

Morning, woke up and found myself having difficulty to breathe. I had stuffy nose and after a short while, became running nose. It continues till now. Why get running nose now... I already in holiday mood and with this bad nose, I did not feel like working. My throat also giving me sign of dryness and occasionally cough.

Met up with friends from same industry for lunch. Owed the wantan mee for 10 years. This was being claimed as it was but in actual fact, it was contra off earlier liao lah. Anyway, its good to have a short gathering.

Lunch at City Square mall. After that, we bought the famous 豪大大鸡扒 originated from Taiwan. It was so big!

Left office earlier today and thought of seeing doctor before heading home. However, the clinic at Pasir Ris MRT station is not under the AIA medical panel of doctors. Hence, have to wait till tomorrow then go and get some medicine.

Back to work

Dragged myself to wake up this morning. After a 3 days break, I dread to wake up and go to work. How I wish today is still holiday...

Back to office and everyone still in holiday mood. Though it is a pain now but just need to tolerate for another 3 days and we will have another 3 days break. After this break.. don't want to think about it now. Hahaha...

My throat still no good. Now comes running nose after stuffy nose this afternoon. Oh dear... I don't want to get sick uh.

Better drink more water and rest earlier tonight.

Niece's birthday

Today is my niece's birthday and she had a party at her house. Before going to my sister's house, I went to do a final inspection of my new house. Met up with my auntie, uncle and cousin. After the inspection, I took my uncle's car to collect my niece's gift from my colleague. Luckily it was on the way. Otherwise, will have to give her a belated birthday gift.

My niece invited her school friends hence was in the room playing games with them. To self entertained ourselves, my aunt thought of games to play with the kids in the house. That included myself, my aunt and my younger sister. The kids enjoyed the games.

Left my sister's house at 7.30pm and headed home directly. My dad went to pack some food back from nearby coffee shop. As we were not too hungry, I asked my dad to buy crabs. Wow... the chilli crabs were good.

My throat is quite bad. Occasionally coughing. Oh dear... am I getting sick??

Look at my niece's birthday cake. Cute uh. Was wondering why she liked snow white and seven dwarfs. Only to know from my brother-in-law that she was forced to get this one. My sister insisted on this one. Her first choice was with football. So boy... I think I will object too... Hee hee.

Christmas Day 2011

Here it comes! 2011 Christmas Day!

Stayed indoor until evening. Helped my dad to shift furniture in our living room as he was painting the ceiling. While he was painting, I wrapped the Christmas presents for niece. We decided to wrap them into 12 separate packaging for her.

Left house to go to my boss house in the evening. We had fun there and left at about 10 plus. I was suppose to take the gift for my niece birthday from my colleague's car but in the end, forgot about it entirely. Guess it will be a belated gift for my niece. Will pass to my elder sister on Tuesday.

So fast that Christmas going to be over. Coming next will be New Year day. After this will be nothing to be looking forward. I hate beginning of the year. Another long year to go...

Woke up rather late today as slept late last night. Went out for shopping again with my mum and younger sister.

We wanted to avoid the crowd at town area hence decided to go to the new shopping mall 112 at Katong. After walking round the mall, nothing much to see. Hence, we walked over to Parkway Parade. Finally managed to buy some presents for my niece. Bot one "special" present for her. It's a huge eraser. We saw it at Smiggles store and I bought it to make fun of my niece.

Had dinner at Ichiban Boshi. There were so many choices and I had a hard time deciding which one was the best. In the end, chose one set with udon and sushi. Suddenly felt like eating sushi. We had a very filling dinner.

Christmas mood

Today is last day of the working week and we are all looking forward to the long weekend. Christmas falls on Sunday hence Monday will be public holiday.

We were so no mood for work that we went to VivoCity for lunch and came back to office only at 4pm. Had done some shopping there. Anyway, really did not have the mood to work. Back in office and quickly cleared our work and left office for the day.

Watched movie "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" at 7.35pm. Before the movie, we went to Toys"r"us to buy christmas presents for our boss 3 kids. We are going to his house on 25th evening and would like to buy something for his kids.

As we were not hungry, we decided not to have any dinner and just proceed to watch the movie. Therefore, we were on time for the show. Looks like nowadays, the grace period is shorten to 10mins from 20mins. Trailers cut from 3 to 1. So bad meh?

Karaoke

This afternoon, went for my final round of customer visits to pass them some cookies. Cut down a few locations and managed to complete the visiting at 4pm.

We left office early today as we had booked a room at Party World KTV. It's a Christmas gathering for our team. Had prepared a gift worth $20 by everyone. The 4 guys in our team did not prepare and went to buy it at the last minute.

Due to lack of time, we packed burgers into the room and ate it without letting the staff know. Quite enjoyable though many were too shy to sing at first.

Had our gift exchanges and I got a DKNY tote bag. One of my colleague opened his gift item and was wondering why he got an empty envelope. Later than realised that the one who prepared the gift forgot to put the gift vouchers into the envelope and wrapped it up. We had a great laugh as that colleague was so sotong. She herself also could not stop laughing. But it was a good joke for the day. :P

Finished the session at 11.45pm and missed the last train. Therefore, I took a lift from my colleague to Serangoon. Initially thought could cut down the fare but the driver drove a long route and ended up, I still have to pay $21. Too bad lor... I did not know the shortest way.

So fast. Tomorrow is Friday and it's movie time again. Booked an earlier session at 7.35pm since we foresee that tomorrow will be quiet and can go back early.

Hope we can do it and can have dinner before the movie.

So tired

Did not have a good sleep last night. Slept at 2am and every hour, woke up to monitor some issues related to work. Woke up at 3am, 4am, 5am and finally thought that could sleep, again being awaken by phone calls. This time round, no more sleep after that.

Was on the phone for my whole journey to office. So tired...

Had a round of customer visits this afternoon to give them cookies for X'mas. My colleague driving today hence took a lift from her so that I could bring home the magic cookers bought last Friday.

Left office early and reached home early. Felt so good as I had more time to relax.

Eyes are closing... better sleep early...

Problem comes one after another. Non-stop!

Really spent a lot of time settling those problems and could not do things that I scheduled to do by today.

Had lunch at White Dog Cafe with Tulip and 小珠. The food was not too bad. There was once we went there and the food was not nice after they changed chefs. Since now improving, we can go back again.

Super unlucky day

Bad start since morning. Problems came one after another. Dunno why like that.

Just praying hard that tomorrow will be fine and all goes smoothly.

Managed to buy 2 christmas presents for my god nieces and glad that it was a good bargain. :P

A sign of good luck coming? Hope so.

Shopping

Shop and shop. Really enjoyed shopping this year. No wonder people who are stressed, can de-stress after shopping.

Bought quite a lot of things this year end. That includes things needed for the new house. Really happy especially when I bought at a saving. So happy.

Went shopping with my mum and met up with my sister's family at Orchard. This morning, train service should resume at 10am but East West line resumed only slightly after 11am and North South line resumed only at around 1pm. Believe this caused inconvenience to many shoppers. I am one of them.

Two days spent on shopping and left with little time to watch my J dramas. So sad....

But I do enjoy these few weekends. Spending money like with eyes closed. When the bills come, I will be awakened!

Dinner at ParkRoyal

This afternoon, I supposed to go Orchard Road to do some Christmas shopping. However, heard that there was some train disruption hence decided not to go. It must be very crowded at the stations. Better avoid.

Tulip called and said she was having diarrhea hence could not join us for dinner. We decided to proceed as planned. Met up with 小珠 at Nicoll Highway station and walked to the hotel.

Our reservation was for 6pm and the restaurant was still rather empty. It became more crowded at around 7pm.

We ate quite a lot but still missed out some food that we originally wanted to try. However, our stomach could not take so much and had to give up. The food was rather good. Hence can go there again.

Another cakie time

Today is one of our colleague's birthday and she is on leave hence we celebrated for her yesterday.

Tomorrow is another one's birthday and we bought a cake for celebration. Two days with cakie. :)



Our company organised a christmas lunch today. We went for a short while only and headed to Orchard Isetan. Sales today for members only. I bought one magic cooker at just $80+. Originally costs $200+ and now it comes with a smaller size magic cooker that usual price is $79. I am looking for one and just a good timing to buy. :)

It's Friday again and we watched movie "New Year's Eve" at 9.35pm. Quite risky to watch this session as the show was 118mins and there was high chance that we could not catch last train home. Anyway, we were glad that we still proceed to watch the movie (no other better option) as got to know of train extension hour for the few Fridays in Dec.

No coordination between smrt/sbs. I nearly missed the last bus home from Pasir Ris interchange. :(

Cutie

My colleague came back from Taiwan and bought something cute for us to share. Went to this shop during my trip there but did not buy any.

Tomorrow is one of our colleague's birthday and we bought a cake for her. This cake has a very long story. We were too busy today and had no time to buy the cake during lunch. Evening time, realised we yet to buy the cake so went to search for one near our office. Cedele closed early and we could only try our luck at ARC which is partially open today.

Managed to find a cafe that sold whole cake. Its carrot cake. Although not that pretty but better than none. It costs $65 and I intended to use credit card to make payment. However, the staff said they could only accept cash at the moment. Oh dear!!! I also don't have enough cash. In the end, I paid $50 first and borrowed from Ah Cheng. 小珠 had to help to pay the balance by making a second trip there. Haiz... the shop staff should tell me early mah. So pai sei...

Mid week

Its Wednesday again. Mid day of the week. Just 2 more days more to go and it will be Friday.

Today we went to ABC market for lunch. Ordered the roasted pork and duck rice. Originally, I wanted to order roasted pork, roasted duck and bbq pork combo but the seller gave me wrong one. It's ok. Eat less = less fat. Haha...

I still have quite a few xmas presents to buy. Have to plan my time to buy them this weekend or next week. Just one and a half week to go and its Christmas Day.

Christmas coming

Today we received one hamper from our supplier and it is so nice. This makes our office more lively with the snowman with "snowing". Turned on the music and it really let us feel that Christmas is really coming soon.
