So busy and tired

Today was last day of Feb and there was so many things to settle. Some of my paperwork could not be completed last week and had rolled over to today. Had so much things to do within a day and the time is simply not enough for me every day. How huh??? I need HELP!!!!

I am now waiting for the new recruit to take over the work I am covering for my ex-colleague who left our company 1 week ago. I am taking over 100% of her stuff (although not much was passed to her to handle in the first place. Otherwise, I think I already laid flat now). Aiyoh... not sure how long I can tahan uh... Felt so stressed up this evening when I could not handle all my things properly. Is like doing everything half way and cannot give 100% concentration.

Work harder tomorrow lah. Don't know when it will end.... Sound so pessimistic hor... Well hopefully tomorrow I will feel better lor. Look forward to pay day. Definitely will be happy for a few days then gloomy again as has to wait for another 20+ days for the next pay day. Haha...

Start to do Japan trip itinerary

Today not going out. Watched TV programs in the afternoon and ate a lot of titbits to kill time. Sinful ah... Decided to start to work on the itinerary for our Japan trip in April. Do bit by bit...

Have done the first 3 days itinerary but now stuck with the timing for the 3rd day. I think I need to re-shuffle the 2nd and 3rd days visits. Due to places we are going are a bit "ulu", there are no frequent buses/trains. Therefore, proper scheduling is needed to ensure no waste of time to wait for the bus or train.

Its ok. Still have a lot of time to plan. Shall do it slowly. :P

Dinner at one of my favourite restaurant

Saturday. Woke up late at 12noon. Slept very late at 3am. Sunny day. Weather very hot.

Done my office work for few hours. Took rest watching TV. Go out for dinner with parents and sis.

Went to Crowne Plaza Hotel. Dined at Azur restaurant. Very satisfied with food. Yummy Yummy.

End of the day liao...

Movie Movie!!!

My colleague bought a glass water bottle and showed it to us yesterday. He said it will be healthier to drink from glass bottle than plastic. Quite a number of us found it nice and decided to buy one. It costs $25.20 and I chose a Fuschia colour one. The stock came today (very fast!!). Cannot use it yet as I need to "sterilise" it first. Monday then start to use it. Hope this will motivate me to drink more water.

Was very busy this evening and could leave office only at 8.20pm. We had dinner at McDonald and I finally could eat the 双层鱼柳包 which I was craving since CNY. In order to try 2 different kinds of burger, we ordered one Double McSpicy and Double Fish burger and shared. Yummy Yummy!!!



Our movie was at 9.20pm and we managed to get into the theater on time. Today had more trailers which resulted in the show to start a bit later than we estimated. We were so worried that we could not catch the last train.

When the movie ended, we quickly moved out towards the exit. We were at GV Max and knowing that walking down towards the lower level exit will be faster, we moved towards it. However, we saw many people walking up as thought the door was locked. We tried our luck and glad that the door was unlocked and we zoomed out of the theater with our fastest speed to the MRT station. We achieved our fastest record to get into the train from the theater within 3mins! Super fast uh!!!

The movie we watched was very good. It was full of suspense and only got to know what actually happened to the main cast (Liam Neeson) towards the last 15mins of the movie. It was good and we enjoyed it. Highly recommended movie. Was so happy to be able to watch movie again on Friday after skipping for about a month. :)

Killiney

This afternoon, we went to Killiney cafe for lunch. Wow... it was so crowded. We found a table with 6 seats but 2 of them still occupied. The 2 person taking the seats had finished their food and we thought they would be leaving soon.

However, they were still talking and talking when our food was ready. There were 6 of us and with the 2 seats being occupied, 2 of my colleagues had to sit on another table. We tried to hint hint that we had another 2 person joining but they still talked and talked. Only after about 15mins then they left. So bad... Knowing people were waiting and still did not want to free the seats.

I ordered Mee Rebus and it was not bad. My colleague ordered Mee Siam and feedback was too sour. 小珠 ordered Curry Chicken with rice and it was good. Next time, we can eat there again. :)

Heard good news that our company earned quite a good profit within first few weeks of the year. Hope performance will keep improving so that we can get bonus....

Travel out for lunch

Today, we had lunch out of our office area again. However, so comical on my lunch plan today.

One of my colleague asked me if I wanted to join her for lunch as it had been quite some time that we did not lunch together. I said ok and would not join my usual lunch group. Plan was to have lunch at Killiney cafe downstairs. When lunch time came, their plan changed to Telok Blangah when another colleague suggested to drive out. With limited seats plus I need to go to customer office at 2.30pm, I decided not to join them.

Planned to join my usual lunch group to have lunch downstairs but was asked to go with my 2 colleagues who would be going for the customer visit with me. They wanted to have lunch and directly go to customer office. Plan changed and thought unable to join my usual group.

However, my boss asked us to go to Henderson market instead. In the end, all of us went together as could not reject our boss. He had no lunch partner. Haha. Within such short time, my lunch plan changed and changed. So funny uh.

Finally we booked movie tickets for this Friday. Had stopped for 4 weeks uh. Eyes itchy liao. :P

Busy busy why so busy

Still busy today. Why I can't finish my work lei???

Hope I will slowly get use to the "busyness" soon or to just don't care and carried forward undo work to next day. Let it snowball... roll and roll... Ha ha...

Shall try to sleep earlier tonight. So tired. ZZZ bugs coming after me!!!

Hate the phone call

Early morning, I was waken up by ringing of my mobile phone. Unfamiliar number and I decided not to answer it but to wait for a while to see if it rang again. Usually if it is an important phone call, the caller will dial again. After waiting for about 10mins, no call... Imagine... time is 5.51am!!! Who is so free to anyhow dial and disturb people's sleep. I was joking that I will make a phone call to that number at 5.51am but my sister said : can you wake up??? Ha ha ha....

Today is a super bee zee day. I had to handle own work plus covering job scope of my colleague who had just resigned on last Friday. I told my colleague who was sitting next to me that how I wish I am an octopus. 8 hands for me to do work at same time. Dreaming uh!!!

In the end, worked late again till 10pm. Hope I can go back earlier from tomorrow onwards. Real tired to keep working late...

New Pillow

This afternoon, I brought my niece to Tampines to meet up with my younger sister. Our main purpose was to buy new pillows. I complaint about the discomfort of my pillow which caused my neck aching and she complaint too. Hers too soft and could not sleep well.

My niece helped to take down the list of items to buy, including newspaper, bread lah. I told her if I forgot, it will be her fault for not reminding me. Hence, she quickly took out her notebook and dropped down the list of things to buy. Haha.. cute girl.

After buying pillows, we went to Popular bookshop. Actually this was where she wanted to go by accompanying me to Tampines. She bought 3 pens that costs $7.20. My sis paid for them. She told her she had money ~ $4.00! Her $4.00 very big hor....

I went to Hair Mechanics salon to trim my fringe. Cost $6.00 which was quite reasonable. I decided to wait till 2nd week of March then go to cut and highlight my hair. Just nice for my trip on April. :)

Sushi Tei

Went to Sushi Tei for dinner again tonight. This is our favourite dinner place. We simply like to eat there.

Ordered the same set of sashimi ~ Biei. Wow... Umai Desu... So nice and they were so sweet (the tuna belly, salmon, hotate, sweet prawn). Simply could not resist that we ordered another set. Today's sashimi was super good. Ordered other dishes too and we were so satisfied.

My dad wanted to buy bracelet for my mum and we went to Poh Heng Jewellery. This time round, buying gold bracelet hence chose the 老字号 brand. We spent less than 30mins in the store and bought it. So fast that it was so easy for the shop assistant. Ha ha...

After that, we went to have dessert at Haagen Dazs. Luckily we were early as once we seated, the place was full house. Many people started to come in after the shops at the mall closed. Ordered a set of fondue and another one for sharing. Shiawase desu!!!



So fast that the day gone. Woke up late and only had afternoon time to laze on the sofa to watch few episodes of J drama. :( not enough uh!!!

Guilty Day

This afternoon, we went for customer lunch at Taste Paradise. Wow... the food was very good and wow... the price even better. $3700 for 18pax!!! I think only can go during business lunch. Too expensive liao.

One of our new colleague left company today. It is difficult for her to continue here hence will be better for her to find another job. In fact, she told me she had prepared herself and went for interview. There is an offer which she is still considering. No wonder she did not feel so sad when she was packing her stuff. As sales person, she had to leave within the few hours.

No movie tonight hence went for dinner at Coffee Club @ HarbourFront. The 2 dishes we ordered were very nice. We enjoyed the food.

A bit more relaxing day

Today is considered a day where I can relax a bit during office hours. I managed to clear my emails and in fact there were not many incoming emails. Glad that my inbox is cleaner now.

Managed to complete quite a few things which I planned to do within today. Hope every day can be like dat.

So fast that tomorrow is Friday again. Went through tomorrow's movies screenings and could not find movie with suitable timing. Something gonna happen tomorrow and I need to give some buffer to stay a bit later in office. Therefore cannot watch any movie which screen on earlier time. The later time movies are all too late where we will miss last train. Finally, we decided to skip watching movie this week and go for dinner instead.

Now looking forward to Saturday (not Friday as I do not know how to go through tomorrow afternoon onwards)... How I wish I can skip tomorrow afternoon time.

Like wedding dinner

This afternoon, our lunch with customer was at Peach Garden @ OCBC Centre. When we reached the restaurant at 33rd floor, we were so shocked that there were so many tables with customers lining up to look up for their reservation to get their table nos.

Found ours and was led to the table. Another shock... the whole place was like a wedding dinner venue. So many tables with people talking. It was so noisy. That really indicated how popular this restaurant was. The review of this restaurant was good.

I was telling my customer that this restaurant was so "ya ya" until we had to put deposit to secure a table. Hardly hear any restaurant doing that. Worst still was that we had to come personally to put the deposit as the restaurant has no facility to credit by credit card. So ancient!!!

Well, I would say that the food was good hence no complain on the deposit liao. I believe this scene was because it's CNY and they were trying to squeeze in as many tables as possible. Shall find another day to dine there and see if the atmosphere will be different.

Finally tomorrow I have no CNY lunch or dinner and can take "normal" food. :P

Guilty

Terrible day. Ate so much during lunch and dinner.

Had CNY lunch with customer at Crystal Jade - Paragon. Our timing was 12 - 1.30pm and the restaurant kept reminding me that we had to finish by 11.30pm. However, our customer was late and arrived at 12.40pm where we tried to eat as fast as possible. They served the first few dishes rather fast but slowed down after the 4th dishes. I was wondering how come they did not chase us to eat faster...

We finished the lunch at almost 2pm and my colleague apologised for the "over-run" and asked the waitress what happened to the guests who supposed to take our table at 1.30pm. She answered that they had re-allocate another room for them. OMG!! They should tell us earlier mah. At least we could eat slowly. But in actual fact, our pace was according to their serving. They served fast, we eat fast. They slowed down, we slowed down too. Hee hee...

Thought I could go home earlier tonight but got my colleague's confirmation that there was another dinner fixed tonight. No choice but to attend. Had another round of Lou Hei at Tung Lok - The Central. Smaller group for the dinner. Left the restaurant only at 10.15pm. I was feeling so tired after the dinner. Too fat to walk!!!

The food at both restaurants were good. However, some of the dishes were similar (eg veg with abalone and dried oysters) and a bit tired of eating them. 2 more to go ~ one tomorrow and another on Friday.

So guilty to eat so much these 2 weeks. Must have put on at least 2 - 3 kg uh... Hope my estimation is wrong!

Monday again

Monday is a day where most people hate. It is the beginning of the week and we have to wait for another 4 days till Friday. Friday is the day where every one likes. Why is it that Monday and Friday have such different treatment by us??? What happens to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday???

Not much happening today. Had business lunch and back in office trying to clear work so that could go home earlier. However, being called up for meeting at around 6.30pm that last for almost 1 1/2 hrs. In the end, left office at 9.15pm. Tomorrow must ensure I will leave office earlier!!!

Going to continue watching J dramas tonight. Yeh!!!

Oh yah. Today is Valentine's day. Wishing everyone a Happy Valentine's day.

Lunch at Santaro - Amara Hotel

Sumptuous dinner

This afternoon, we went to our aunt's house. Woke up earlier this morning as need to prepare and ensure I would be ready before my sister was back from her church service. Took my dad's company van to Ang Mo Kio and reached there at 1.45pm.

We ate some finger food and played a few rounds of black jack. No luck today. Lost about $10. My younger sister and brother were the winner. They won back their $$$ during the few rounds of games where the highest point holder will win the pool of $$$. For one round winning, one could easily recoup his loss.

My aunt's family had another gathering to attend hence we left her house at 5.10pm. Booked a table at Long Beach @ Dempsey. It was to celebrate my mum's belated birthday. In fact, we had gave a treat to her last weekend but today, was with my elder sister's family.

We decided not to take the CNY menu. All of us agreed to order one Alaska crab. It costs a bomb! Appx $800 for a 5 kg one. There was no smaller crab and 5 kg was the smallest available. Since we were giving a treat to my mum and we also would like to try the crab, we just ordered one. The captain was good to introduce 2 kinds of cooking the crabs plus a few more dishes.

Conclusion is : We never regret spending the money. It was really good and value for money. The crab was so meaty and fresh. Would want to eat again... but only during special event lah. Else cannot tahan... Luckily we are sharing the cost.

Back to work tomorrow. So fast...

Little luck better than nothing

This morning, woke up at 8am as there was some work matter to settle. After settling, I went back to sleep and woke up only at 12noon. Super tired...

Watched TV programs this afternoon and followed by 2 episodes of J drama. Left house at 6.30pm as was going to my boss's house for CNY visiting.

As usual, there were so many kids running about and they enjoyed it. For us, we just chit chat and played with my colleague's daughter. She is so cute... let me carry. :)

Played a few rounds of Black Jack and won $10 tonight. Small winning but still consider I have little luck. :)

Heavy lunch and dinner

Today is a terrible day for me. Reason = ate too much!

Had lunch at foodcourt where we ordered 煮炒 and shared among 3 of us. Ordered Dried Hor Fun, Mee Goreng and Sambal Fried Rice. The portions were big and ended up being very full after eating. The prices for this stall are reasonable. Most important is the quality is good.

Worked late and did not attend one of the cocktail party organised by one of our counter party. Had prepared to go for a while in the evening but due to last minute there were some work to clear, I did not go with my other 2 colleagues.

Instead of finish work and go for dinner with 小珠, I went to the foodcourt again with her and Ah Cheng. Ordered Shen Mian and Hokkien Mee for sharing again. Ah Cheng ordered Fried Rice and Beancurd for sharing. Yummy and ended up eating too much and stomach so full and bloated...

Continued our work for a while and left office at around 9.45pm. Now shall enjoy my weekend. :)

The most unwanted wordings

Today, I had lunch at the foodcourt near to our office. There were so many choices that I finally chose the 煮炒. Ordered Hokkien noodles with my colleague and waited patiently. The lady attending the stall said that it would not be very long.

Wait and wait... Saw many delicious dishes coming out from the kitchen. 5 mins, 10 mins and 15 mins passed. People queuing behind us had their food but not us... Strange lei... Finally it was our turn and it took almost 20mins. 99% that they missed out our order and kept us waiting. So bad uh... But hor... the food was nice so I did not ban them yet lor.

I told my colleague that I hate to hear "expense claim". Do not know why I feel so agitated whenever I hear or see this wordings. Hope it will be history for me...

No ice!!!

Managed to shut down my pc by 8.35pm today. Although I left office at around 9pm as was waiting for my colleague to finish her last piece of work before leaving office, I did meet my target of going back earlier by a bit each day.

On my way home, received a call from my Secondary school friend. She invited me to her house for her CNY open house. Every year she invites her friends but I did not attend it so far. Either I could not make it or she could not reach me. This year, I cannot attend too as already has appointment to go to my boss house on coming Saturday. So happy to hear from her and she was shocked that I could recognized her voice even after more than 10 years.

Reached home and saw my father touching and looking at our fridge freezer. Asked him what was he doing and he said no ice generating out from the auto slot. I think gone case liao. The ice maker spoiled liao. :(

So glad that tomorrow is Thursday. 2 more days to go!!!

Improvement. Keep it up!!

Today is the 2nd day of having CNY lunch with customer. Yesterday we chose Japanese restaurant and today was Chinese restaurant. Past years, I need not join such lunches but this year is a bit different due to I am directly handling some customers. Will break for 2 days and continue on Friday night for a dinner or rather a cocktail party. That means no movie for this Friday liao...

Set new record on 2nd day of the lunar new year. Left office at 8.45pm which is earlier than yesterday by... 15mins. Ha ha ha... Hope everyday improve a little bit and achieve my target of leaving office by 7.30 - 7.45pm. 加油!

Back to work

Don't feel like waking up this morning. How I wish today is still on holiday. So fast that long holiday is over.

In fact, beginning of the year passed so fast. It is already February. Left 10 more months and it's Christmas again. Wow.... can't imagine that this means that I will age faster and faster... so sad...

We were busy clearing our work today due to the long holiday. Told myself that today cannot work too late. If work too late, it means that I will have to stay late for rest of the year. Haha...

Originally wanted to leave by 8.30pm but ultimately left at 9pm. Ok lah... still better than 10pm. Shall try my best to go back latest by 8.30pm for rest of the year. Unless real need to stay, otherwise better not.

Hope the year of Rabbit will be a good year and let me be happy working, stay healthy and earn more $$$. Hee hee...

End of holiday - 4th day of CNY

Today is the last day of our holiday. Tomorrow back to work. I think this year, I have fully utilise the 4 days. In the past, I will have more time spent at home but not for this year. Everyday went out.

This afternoon, we went to the temple for praying and after that to my 大姑 house. Initially, we thought she was out as the door was closed. After knocking the door for a while, she answered to us. She was in fact not feeling well since yesterday and just went to see doctor at GH this morning. She had diarrhea and vomit for whole day yesterday. Luckily my cousin went to her house this morning and brought her to see doctor. We stayed for just a while and left so that she could rest.

It was around 4.30pm and we decided to head to NEX shopping mall. I never been there so keen to go there. It was so crowded and since it was going to 5pm, we decided to have early dinner to avoid the crowd. Was searching for the restaurant and ended up walking around for almost 20mins. Finally decided on Yaki Yaki Bo restaurant to have Teppanyaki dinner. We ordered the set. The food was nice and was a good choice.

So sad... going back to work and... another round of eating and eating again ~ lou hei with customers...

Weather was good for these few days. No rain and was more convenient to go out for visiting. :)

Gathering

We had a gathering at my elder sister's house this afternoon. Had our second round of game with the kids. They were waiting to win our $$$.

Reached Toh Guan at 2.30pm and we were the first to reach. We waited for the rest to arrive and started the game. Today, my brother in law was the only banker and he in fact won quite a lot at first but eventually, passed back the money back to the rest... but not me lei.

The real winners were my aunt's kids. They won in total about $60. I lost about $10 today. With the $35 won yesterday, net profit was $25. Not too bad lah. :)

Tomorrow, we will be going to the temple for praying of good health and luck for rest of the year. This is our annual event to make a trip down to Toa Payoh 双林寺.

So fast... holiday over soon.

I won

This afternoon, I went to our CEO's house for visiting. Very big house where it took us almost 30mins to finish viewing all the rooms.

I stayed till almost 3pm and followed my colleague's car home. Received sms from my brother and niece that they were waiting for me to play blackjack. They wanted to win my $$$!

Reached home and immediately joined their game. My luck was good today where I won $35. These $$$ came from my brother in law and younger sister. They lose quite a lot.

Tomorrow, we are going to my elder sister's house for 2nd round. Hope luck will be with me again. :)

Bought some m&m chocolates from Candylicious at resort world. They made me recalled my trip to Las Vegas where I bought unique colours m&m chocolates. Could not resist eating them. :P

Happy Chinese New Year

Wow, woke up late at 11am this morning. Slept at 12.30am last night and knocked out...

Not going out for visiting today. We went to Sentosa Flower exhibition instead. My dad drove to HarbourFront Centre and we went over to Sentosa via the newly open Sentosa Broadwalk. The sun was so strong that made us sweat. My face became red after a while.

It was so crowded and we made our way to the exhibition area. Did not really cover the whole place as it was too crowded. Managed to take some photos.

After that, we walked back to VivoCity and had dinner at Thai Accent. We were so hungry but after eating, we were so full. Hee hee...
