New Year's eve

Finally its the last day of 2012.  What did I do in year 2012?  Seems nothing prominent.  Just a normal year for me.

This afternoon, we left office at 1.30pm.  Skipped lunch and discharged ourselves 1 hour earlier than the announced 2.30pm to end the day.

We went to The Star Vista mall to have our lunch.  As usual, we went to Watami since the queue was not very long.  We ordered a few dishes (majority were repeated ones) and enjoyed the food.  This was the last lunch we had in year 2012.

After lunch, we went to have dessert at Blackball with Ah Thin.  I liked it very much.  It was not too sweet and I liked the chewy chewy pearls and yam/sweet potatoes balls.  Will go there again.  This was our last dessert for year 2012.

The rain was very heavy and was non stop since morning.  Quite an eventful day for taking public transport today.

This morning, I was caught with delay in train service for Circle line and reached office late.  I was taking the East West line to Pasir Ris and I was so "lucky" to take a train that asked passengers to alight at Outram park due to train fault.  Ah yoh.... why so "lucky".  I actually skipped one train to take this one which was less crowded.  In the end, had to wait for 2 more trains in order to have a seat.  Was a long journey and I was carrying the NeNe chicken that I bought to share with my parents for tonight dinner, hence did not want to stand all the way.

Reached home at 6.15pm and it was still raining heavily. The night was cold and windy with the rain.  Luckily the rain had stopped near 11pm and glad that the countdown at various spots will not be affected.

Looking back, I do not think I achieve a lot of things this year.  I hope next year will be a better year for me and for my family and friends.

ONIS again

ONIS again!!!!  I hate it!!!!

Very quiet in Pasir Ris house.  My brother had to go to work today due to short of manpower and his boss asked him to change his off day.  My sister's family did not come as they went out for shopping for CNY clothing for the kids.  My younger sister not back from HKG.  So left my parents and me at home only.

I stayed in the room watching anime and HK dramas.  My parents took naps and watched Korea dramas.  Luckily I was at home else they would be very bored.  I took bus home myself and my father asked if ok or not.  Hee hee...  He thought he needs to send me back when my brother-in-law not here to longbang me home.  I told him no need as it is waste of time for them.

My mum asked my twice on whether I will go over tomorrow.  She wants to eat out.  I better go home else they will really have a very boring New Year.

Tomorrow back to work.  Only happy thing is we can leave office by 2.30pm.  Yippy!!!

Count down to 2013!

Girls day

We met up with Tulip at NEX and had lunch at Sushi Tei since I have 20% disc due to its birthday month.  Enjoyed our late lunch till around 4pm and left NEX after buying 2 pieces of cakes as snacks.

We chit chat and had our cakes and the mango pudding I prepared to share with them.   My first attempt and it tasted not too bad.  In future, I can prepare this and try almond pudding for my guests.  Will try to learn more desserts making.  :P

I decided to go back to Pasir Ris tonight hence had dinner with the 2 ladies and took bus home.  My stomach is now bloated and filled with food.  Still yet to digest.  I think both of them also facing same problem.

Good day

Good day.  TGIF!  I love Friday.

Weather was good but a bit hot in the morning.  Sunny day after few days of wet morning.

Still no mood to work.  Went to VivoCity during lunch time to purchase 2 bottles of body lotion for my parents at Crabtree.  I had $40 vouchers and need to utilise by end Dec.  Sad that the Aloe Vera series was discontinued.  I like this lotion as it is mild and not sticky.  Hydrating and good to use in cold weather.  In the end, I bought a bottle from Coast to Coast as they are having 50% discount.

Had dinner with Ah Cheng and Ah Xue before 小珠 and I went for our movie session.  Watched "Jack Reacher" at 8.35pm.  Nice movie and the plot was good.  I am not a fan of Tom Cruise but if movie storyline is good, I will still watch his movie.  Same for other actors and actresses.

小珠 staying at my house tonight as we are meeting Tulip tomorrow.  It is troublesome for her to travel long distance from her house so the best is for her to stay overnite.  :)

Boring

Super boring today.  From the time I stepped in office, I felt sleepy.  After lunch, it worsen until I had to mss 小珠 and she was also dozing off liao.  We decided to go for tea break to freshen up.

Today did not manage to leave office early as I was held up by some issues.  Ah Cheng also took some time before she could leave office.  We followed her car to Buona Vista MRT station.  Reached home at about 8.10pm and started to wash my 2 toilets.

No new j dramas epi releases.  Such a boring day uh.

Hit record

Today.... a day that I hit my record.  I managed to be back home by 7.10pm.  Left office timely by 6.10pm. Yippy!!!!

No mood to work today.  Still having holiday mood.  Believe I will be like dat until next year starts.  Let me laze a bit lah.  Hahaha.

Had lunch at Maxwell market and we decided to go there again tomorrow and on Friday if possible.  Its school holiday now hence lessor crowd there.  I ordered the fish soup.  Very tasty.  Shall eat again.

My colleague Ah Cheng supposed to be back for work today after 2 months rest.  However, she decided to take urgent one day leave and promised to report to work tomorrow.  We told her we will handover our work to her and we will go on leave.  Hee hee....

Back home and shall watch the 3 J dramas that have latest episode released.  All 3 dramas will end by these last epi.

So glad to be at home and I missed my bed.  I have a new toy cutie Usagi.

Received one more xmas present from Ah Xue.  I think she thinks that I am getting old.  Need to use mask for anti-aging.  Hahaha...

I also realised something.  小珠 presents are mostly bluish and mine are pinkish.  :P

Merry Christmas 2012

Merry Christmas !  Happy happy Xmas.

Today, it is a joyous day.  I refuse to let this day pass.  How I wish everyday is Christmas day.  :P

Attended my niece's birthday celebration in the afternoon.  I ate so much that my stomach was so bloated.  Finger food very sinful uh.  When you have nothing to do, your fingers just work.  Moving towards the food...  No wonder we called them finger food.

My niece requested for strawberry cake.  She really a strawberry lover.  Nice cake.

I opened all my Christmas presents and they are all useful stuff.  Now I know why 小珠 is so sure that I will never guess correct on what she gave me.  I really never seen before.  Its very useful as my hand tends to get  numb some time.  She must have heard me complaining before and found this item good for my health.  Thank you so much.  :)

The day passed so fast.  Tomorrow back to work again.

Christmas Eve

Today, I was so happy when I woke up.  Its Christmas Eve and I could knock off from office early at 2.30pm.

We had lunch at ARC and left office at about 2.50pm.  My colleague gave us a lift to HarbourFront.  I was so blurred until my colleague had to drove back office as I suddenly recalled that I forgot to bring back my phone that I was charging.  Luckily I remembered while we were on the way.  Otherwise, I had to take own transport back to office to collect it.

It was crowded in VivoCity.  We were early hence I went to buy some chocolates for the children attending my niece's birthday celebration tomorrow.  Its Christmas Day and I thought of just giving a small gift to the children instead of just my niece collecting birthday gifts.  Bought from The Cocoa Tree.  Nice packaging and I need not wrap them.

We watched 2 movies today.  "Wreck-It Ralph" at 4.40pm and "The Hobbit : An unexpected journey" at 8.15pm.  Both movies were good and we liked them.  One was a comedy and another was a fantasy movie.  Looking forward to the next 2 movies for The Hobbit series.  Now we are interested to watch "Lord of the Rings".

I am sure I will sleep late tonight.  Hope not too late.  I just want to enjoy this Christmas eve.  :P

At home

Woke up unwillingly at 10.15am.  Had to wake up to do housework.  Yesterday at Pasir Ris hence did not do any cleaning at home.

Managed to complete the tasks by 1pm.  Started to watch j dramas until my parents came at around 3.30pm.  They bought roasted pork and duck for sharing. Just nice as I was hungry due to no taking of any lunch.  Just had a bread for breakfast.

My brother came at around 5pm after visiting his friend's house.  We went out for dinner at nearby coffee shop.  They went back at around 8pm.

Back to quiet time as I am alone again.  Shall continue watching dramas.  But no new epi releases hence I starts on one new anime .  Storyline like not bad.  Shall watch first while waiting for new j drama releases.

Normal Saturday

This morning, woke up rather early at 10am.  Need to monitor one issue hence immediately sent a sms to my overseas colleague.  Glad that things were moving quite smoothly except need to check status again at 4pm to update my customer on the status.

My sister's flight to Hong Kong was 2.15pm hence we left for airport at around 11.45pm.  We accompanied her to check in and had lunch at Crystal Jade restaurant.  Had dim sum and they were good.

After sending my sister off, my mum and I took bus home.  Stayed at home to continue my HK drama.  Cannot watch J drama as my sister's dinosaur computer cannot dl the player.  Told her time to change her laptop liao.

Now I am back in my own house.  Decided not to stay at Pasir Ris as I need to be back to do some housework.  My parents will come and have dinner with me tomorrow.

Count down.... another 3 more days and its Xmas day.

Dooms Day???

Today is 21 Dec 2012.  The so-called Dooms day.  Heard from my colleague that the Mayan prediction time is 3.14pm sin time.  We monitoring if there would be any "change" to the world.

We had lunch in office as our company arranged free buffet for the staff.  Since it was the first time, my colleague helped all of us to register for the lunch.  Food was nice but... not enough lei.  Those came late left with Bee Hoon to eat only.  Too overwhelmed liao.

After lunch, I went to ARC with 小珠.  Purpose was to buy a gift card for my brother-in-law's sister's daughter birthday.  In the end, we ended up becoming aunties buying things for use in our houses.  I bought toilet and sink filters.  They looks good and useful.  So decided to try on them.  Also shared buying plastic seals.  We found them interesting and decided to try on them.

Back in office and found a strange sight.  Did not notice it initially until my colleague asked me to look out of the window.  A few of my colleagues were viewing it.  Quite a strange sight lei.  Quickly took a snap of it.

3.14pm passed and everyone was safe and sound.  Phew....  I can still go for my holidays next year.  Yippy!!!!

Left office at about 6.30pm.  Took train to Jurong East and changed to North East line to Bukit Batok station with 小珠.  My elder sister actually came to Westmall to pick me up.  My god niece came with her and it was her second trip.  First was to fetch my younger sister.  So surprise leh.

I managed to see my little "niece".  She was so adorable and let me carry her around.  Happy to carry her lei.  She did not cry throughout the night.  So good girl and she was enjoying herself.  All my little nieces were playing with her.  So many sisters taking care of her. 

Tonight, will stay overnite at Pasir Ris house.  Tomorrow night then go home.  Need to do housework on Sunday.

Wow wow...  Happy happy...  TGIT!

Today received a piece of announcement from our admin dept that from tomorrow onward, our company will serve buffet lunch on every Friday for staff as our new welfare.  Kind of good news for those who do not like to go out for lunch.  Tomorrow we will join in.  See if the food is nice or not.  Hee hee...

Quite busy today as there were quite a lot of things to handle.  Still have some backlog and shall do tomorrow.  小珠's parents came to pick her up hence I went back on my own.  Left office at about 7.30pm.  Not too late lah.

Back home to wash the 2 toilets.  All Jdramas up to date hence nothing to watch.  Just started one Hong Kong new drama.  Its about law and crimes.  Looks like not too bad.  Shall continue to watch if have time.

Tomorrow is Friday.  No movies as I am attending a birthday party.

Ah Thin's birthday tomorrow.  We gave her a treat at Ichiban Sushi restaurant near our office.  I ordered the spicy dory fish set.  It was spicy and very nice.  Yummy!

Back to work

Back to work after 2 days of rest.  Not really rest as I was still working at home.  Just that I need not squeeze in the train in the mornings to get to office.  Glad that the redness on my face subsided a lot.  Do nor look so ugly.  Lucky lucky.

Had a rather relaxed morning.  Afternoon it was raining so heavily after we had our lunch at Telok Blangah and we had to wait for the rain to "calm down" before we walked to the car park.  There was shelter but it was useless.  The wind was blowing and we simply got wet although the rain was not so heavy when we decided to dash to the car park.  Back in office at about 2.45pm.

Evening, not too busy but enquiries came in rather late and I could not leave office early.  Left office at about 7.45pm.  Walked past the store selling children clothing and I managed to get the gift for my brother-in-law's niece 1 year old birthday.  We are invited for this Friday party.  Hence, I could not watch movie on this coming Friday.  Our intention is to watch 2 movies on next Monday.

Reached home and did sweeping and mopping for usual Wednesday night task.  While mopping, I realised that I can actually buy the gift during lunch time and keep in office.  I am going to the party straight from office.  Aiyah... have to bring the gift to office on Friday.  Blur blur me.

Recovering

Second day staying at home.  Tomorrow will need to go back to office.  Although I am on MC but I am still very actively involve in my daily work.  Many of my colleagues on leave hence no one can cover me.  However, it is ok since I am actually well and just cannot walk out due to my ugly face.  Also I think better don't walk under the sun.  My facial skin is now very dry.  Cannot put moisturizer as skin doctor said stop all products first.

Luckily I bought 2 small steam cake yesterday.  These served as my breakfast.  No proper lunch.  Just some biscuits and chips.

Watched all J dramas and anime till up to date.  So happy seah.

Did not want to eat instant noodles hence decided to cook porridge with prawns.  My invention uh.  Usually people cook with pork, chicken meat or fish meat.  Mine is prawns uh.  I think the prawns can make the porridge sweet.  I added one dried scallop too.

It turned out good.  It was not oily (cos no oil added) and sweet.  I added some pepper in.  Yummy.  Easy to cook but cannot eat too often.  First must have fresh prawns which I need to ta bao from my Pasir Ris home.  Second is cannot eat too much as its seafood and high in cholesterol.

So sad... tomorrow going back to office.  Wonder if my face will be less red...  Pray hard...

Waiting

This morning, woke up at 8am so that I could went to the nearby clinic to see the doctor regarding the rashes  on my face.  The clinic was rather crowded and I had to wait for quite some time before my turn.

The doctor said that mine should be cosmetic allergy and would take at least a week to recover.  OMG!!  A week!!  How to face people uh??  The doctor gave me medicine to consume and cream to apply on the affected area.  I requested for MC for 2 days as I could not see customers or go out in this condition.

Although I consulted GP, I still called to fix an appointment with my skin doctor.  Managed to get a slot at around 3pm but the staff asked me to go there early to wait.  Mine was the last consultation before doctor went for lunch.

I took a cab there and it was drizzling.  Arrived at Lucky Plaza at around 1.35pm.  It was still early and instead of going to the clinic direct to wait till 3pm, I decided to go over to Takashimaya to get something for my colleagues as X'mas gifts.  Just in time to arrive at the clinic at 2pm.  I waited there patiently for my turn.

Doctor asked me what happened and in fact he did not realise my face is red and with rashes.  Maybe his patients have more problematic skin issues.  I told him what happened and asked if it is common to have such rashes after applying the X cream.  I applied this cream 2 weeks ago and no immediate rashes form (GP doctor told me that some people, the problem comes after applying some time when the skin absorbs more of it).  Doctor told me some patients encountered this and gave me 2 creams.  To use one of it first and if it did not subside after 2 - 3 days, use the other one which is stronger.  I hope my face will recover soon uh.  So itchy.

I slept with my gloves on yesterday night as I worried that I would scratched my face unknowingly during my sleep.  In fact, I did not think of it until 小珠 asked if I am putting on gloves (like babies mitten).   Hahaha.

Wish my face will be better tomorrow.  Itch Itch... so itchy uh.

Saw this magazine in the GP clinic.  Handsome guy lei.

Sad sad day

This morning, I woke up and had a shock.  Both my cheeks are very red and itchy.  I recalled and it should be the cream I applied last night.  Stopped for 1 week after my first laser treatment and since this Sat will be the 2nd treatment, I thought of be good and continue applying.  But it ends up in disaster.

Afternoon it became more red and the patches grows bigger area.  A bit swollen too.  How to go to work tomorrow!!!

I decided to see doctor first thing in the morning and will try to see if I can fix one urgent appt with the skin doctor.  So terrible.

Spoiled my Sunday.  Very sad.

Shop n Eat

This afternoon, met up with my mum and sister at Ion and had lunch at a Japanese ramen shop which is newly open.  No queue hence we got a table immediately.  Ordered Spicy miso ramen.  Added an egg each and ordered a plate of Gyoza for sharing.  Although the soup looked oily but it was not when we drank it.  Not salty too hence we were satisfied with it.

After lunch, our shopping started.  First went to buy a sling bag for my niece's birthday at Crumpler.  We decided not to buy ipad for her until she proves that she does well in her studies next year.  Her PSLE result was not good hence no more ipad for her this year.

Went to Penhaligon's store to buy hand lotion for my sister's friend as her xmas present.  In the end, I bought one bottle of Hand & Nail lotion as it was really good when I tested it.  Not greasy and it made my skin very smooth with just small amount being applied on my hand.  I bought it as my Xmas present for this year but gonna use it tonight liao.  Nice packaging.

My mum also likes it and we decided to buy one bottle for her as her xmas present.  Of course, we told her that bottle I bought was for my friend.  When she heard that my sister did not buy, she was a bit disappointed that she could not use at home.  Haha...  We wanted to give her a surprise lah.

Had tea break at TWG.  Asked my sister to treat us.  We ordered one afternoon tea set and two individual pots.  There were so many choices and we just chose a name we liked.  I chose Snow Mountain tea.  My sis chose Dragon Warrior tea and my mum ordered Golden Rose tea.  Nice names right?  The tea set, we chose the scones.  They were really nice.  Not dry at all.  One of the best I ever tried.

We spent a lot in Ion mall hence could redeem a $10 voucher for visa spending every $200.  Also applied for Ion members.

Next, we went to Isetan as I need to collect my voucher (member's rebate).  Bought 2 more Lego for my niece plus some containers that my mum wanted.  There are 10% store wide rebates for today and tomorrow hence I managed to get one $10 voucher for spending $100.

Met up with Tulip and 小珠 at Bugis and had dinner at Olive Tree restaurant at Hotel Intercontinental to celebrate my belated BD.  Our eating started again.  I had a lot of seafood and due to drinking of a bowl of prawn noodle soup and 1 1/2 glass of drinks, my stomach was very very full.  Went to discharge and continued with my ice-cream.  It was from Haagen Dazz.  I knew it once I tasted the strawberry flavour.  :)

Nice movie

This afternoon, I had a very good lunch at Maxwell market.  We reached there at about 12.45pm and glad that we managed to get a table once we reached.  It was raining hence was less crowded.  Managed to queue for my favourite fish bee hoon stall.  The queue was long but not very very long.  However, we found that the queue became snaky long after we queued for a while.  Lucky uh.

After lunch, 小珠 and I met up with Ah Cheng at HarbourFront Coffee Club.  She is still on MC.  Will be back after Xmas.  Back in office at 3.15pm and continue to work on my problematic issues.  Was so tired on them and just hope all will be settled.

Had dinner at Food Republic with Ah Xue and went for our movie.  Watched "Hotel Transylvania at 8.50pm.  Was a very cute and happy movie.  We laughed a lot during the show.  Good movie!

Tomorrow will meet Tulip and 小珠 for dinner.  To celebrate belated birthday for me.  Another feast again.  :)  Prior that, will meet up with my sister and mum for shopping.  Have to buy presents for my niece BD and Xmas.

TGIT...  One more day to go...

This afternoon, I suggested to go to Vivocity for lunch as I need to get a gift for one of our customer's company DnD lucky draw.  My colleague suggested ipad mini and I agreed that it will be a good prize since it is a real hot item now.

However, we went to a few Apple dealers and they had run out of stock.  In the end, I decided to order online.  It takes 2 weeks for the delivery.  Just in time for the submission deadline.

Left office slightly before 7pm and still aiming to leave office by 6.30pm.

Weather is cooling and believe I will have a good sleep tonight.  Sweet dream.

Happy

Weather was rather hot this morning when I woke up.  Longing for cooling day uh.  In the end, it rained as usual in the evening.  Now it is raining too.  Glad that I can have a nice sleep tonight.

Rather happy today in office.  Kind of a bit relax and managed to leave office slightly before 7pm.  I was ready by 7.35pm and waited for my colleague who gave us a lift to Star Vista Mall so that we can take train at Buona Vista MRT station.

Will have to sleep early tonight.  Many late nights for past days and eyes a bit tired.  Booked tickets for this Friday movie.  Back to movie time.

Motivated

Working hours are still the most boring thing today.  However, I am motivated now.....

Just booked flights for Sin-Osaka-Sin.  小珠 messaged me on this offer.  Actually I did see email from Jetstar but just ignored as I thought not really a good deal.  However, we managed to find flights that just cost $886 for 2 pax.  Departing on 13 Apr and returning on 22 Apr.  Yippy!

Now I can look forward to 2013.  2 trips on my schedule.  :)

No mood

Back to work after a long break.  Really do not wish to go back to work.  Never had such feeling in my past 18 years of working life.

Office was quiet today as many of our colleagues were either on leave or on MC.  We talked a lot of nonsense today in order to make the atmosphere better.

Ah Cheng is extending her MC for another week.  She is on MC for more than 1 month.  Her eyes are recovering and hope she can be back soon.

I've left with one J drama yet to start.  Tonight shall try to clear some anime episodes before going to sleep.

Sleepy beauty

Today, I woke up at about 10.30am and surprised that my niece still sleeping soundly beside me.  She usually wake up very early.  Maybe because her usual sleeping time is about 9pm and last night she slept at about 1am.

After my shower, she was still sleeping and I had to disturb her to wake her up.  My parents came back from marketing and her noodles need to be consumed before they became soggy.  What a sleepy beauty (not sleeping beauty) on the bed.  She took some time before really got out of the bed.

She watched TV programs, played games, surfed net and disturbing me during the afternoon.  Her BD party will be held on Christmas day hence we asked her to give us invitation card.  She happily took out the nice and cute papers that I bought for her when she was younger (in a little red bag that she always remembered that her stuff are inside) and wrote the wordings.  I helped her to get a sample from internet.  She needs to write in Chinese for my parents to read.  Hahaha.

My younger sister came back and I passed the job of entertaining my niece to her.  Then I could start watching jdrama.  Hahaha.

So fast that the long break is ending.  Tomorrow back to work.  So xian.

Hello Kitty Land

This morning, woke up at 8am and prepared ourselves to meet up with my mum and younger sister at Singapore Flyer.  Our departure time for our coach to Hello Kitty Land is 11am.  Needed to assemble 30mins before departure time.

There was a jam between Singapore custom and Malaysia custom.  In the end, we realised that the bus lane was cleared and it was jammed due to many cars used up our lane and trying to filter out to the right lanes when they were nearer to the custom.  So bad... We got jammed due to inconsiderate drivers.  The jam was about 45mins!

The immigrant clearance was rather smooth and we reached the venue at about 1pm.  We were hungry so we decided to get some food at the cafe before getting into the Hello Kitty Land.  Took up some time to wait for a table.  There were only about 6 tables available.  The complex is not really fully opened.  There is only one cafe available and could not cater for the crowd.  Need to wait for the complex to fill up with other shops.  Otherwise, rather inconvenient.

The Hello Kitty Land was at the 1st level and Big Club at 2nd level.  We only bought tickets for one park.  Haha... Cannot describe as a park or land.  It is a very very small place.  More for kids.  However, we enjoyed the few hours by taking photos with the cute decorations and Sanrio figuring.  Kitty and Daniel appeared for photo takings but the queue was too long and we decided not to queue for it. Just took secrets pictures of them while they posed with other people.  Hee hee.

We finished walking around within an hour and decided to queue for the cookies making class.  Queued for about 45mins and the cookies making was just for 5mins.  Hahaha...

The most time used up was visiting Kitty White's and Mimmy's house.  Very kawaii.  Japan's Sanrio Puroland in Tokyo is bigger.  Surfed net and just got to know that there is a Sanrio Harmony Land in Kyushu too.  Next time can go if have a chance.

Bought a decor figurine from the merchandise shop.  Bought a lanyard and one stuffed toy for my niece.  I think she overall did enjoy the day trip.

We took an earlier coach back to Singapore at 5pm.  Our initial return coach time was 9pm.  Luckily could change else we would have to linger around there.  The park closed at 6pm.

We were hungry again when back at Singapore Flyer.  Walked to Marina Square to have our dinner.  My niece kept wanting to eat Pasta Mania but we convinced her to take others.  Ended up at Swenson.  4 of us ate so much until our stomach bursts.  Hahaha.
