Last day of 2010

The day has arrives. Last day of the year 2010.

Second half of this year is very challenging for me in my career path. Had resigned and joined another company. Same industry but with different environment. Tough but glad to have many of my colleagues going through those difficulties with me. Currently, although it is still tough but we are happy together working as a team. Hope next year will be a better year and let us go through all difficulties and achieve our targets.

Left office at 4pm today to catch movie "The Tourist". The movie was a bit slow but overall was good. I liked the place where it was filmed ~ Venice ~ a romantic place... With this last movie of the year, we had watched total 44 movies in 2010! Great!!!

Finally I managed to have my dinner at a Japanese restaurant. Wanted to have it during Christmas eve but we were too late after a movie hence unable to grant my craving. Initial plan was to dine at Sushi Tei but the queue was so long. Decided to try Akashi and if it was full house too, will take a train to The Central. There are many Japanese restaurants there so should be able to get a seat easily.

Happy to find that there was no queue hence went in and ordered my favourite bento set and side dish. Finally I was able to grant my wish. :)






Time passing so fast. Going to say goodbye to 2010 and welcome a new year 2011.

On Leave

On leave today as need to accompany my mum to go for Xray. The session was at 3.20pm hence I need to take a day off. Too rush for me to take just half day. In the end, spent most of my time working at home. No choice lah.

Count down to 2011. So fast. Left 2 days.

Tomorrow we can leave office at 3.30pm and we had bought tickets for movie at 4.25pm. Wishing next year will be a better year for all of us. :)

3 more days and its 2011.

Today we had our year end lunch gathering in office. The buffet food was good and we enjoyed eating and chit chatting. It was that nice until all food were wiped out quite fast.

I tried to clear my work today so that there will not be disruption when I am on leave tomorrow. Will still work at home/mobile. Hopefully there will not be too much to handle. Since it is year end, hope customers will be in relax mode. Hee hee hee...

Back to work

Christmas holiday over!!! Back to work...

Went back to office today and everyone was busy with own work. Atmosphere did not find any little festive mood anymore. So realistic... Wait for next year Christmas liao.

Left just 4 days to go and its year 2011. Time really flies. Especially last few months, it seems to be few years for me. So many things happened. Hahaha...

Started to watch one J drama aired last year. Title is Ninkyo Helper. First episode was good enough to make me eager to continue watching. :)

I still love J dramas

Today, rest day for me. Although I still had to "entertain" office work, I managed to finish watching the J drama I started to watch yesterday. The ending was so unexpected and this is what I like about J dramas. Short and sweet. No dragging.

Sad that the whole drama ended but I like the ending. Left us in suspense until last epi to know who was the real murderer. The actress and actors were good. I begin to like Toda Erika. This drama was aired in 2008 and only till recently then thought of watching it. Did not watch earlier maybe because I still do not really know the main casts. Ha ha... :)

Finished all autumn season dramas that we were watching. Now need to wait for the winter season new dramas. 2 of the new dramas have my number 3 and 4 idols as one of the cast. Looking forward...

Boxing day

Today is boxing day. Not a holiday in Singapore. It's my niece's birthday. Too bad, they could not come to our house today as my sister and brother in law had to entertain their uncle who comes back from Australia for holiday. Ai yah... if I knew that earlier, I did not have to rush to buy my niece's presents lah...

Did not go out and watched some j and k dramas today. Initially, thought of continuing to watch Bleach but in the end, started with j drama. Cannot resist. Watched till epi 3 and 7 more to go. Tomorrow I am taking leave (off in lieu for Christmas day) and hope I can finish the rest of the epi.

Finally the day is here. Long waiting day since start of 2010.

Today I am staying at home and not going to do my office work. Shall leave it till tomorrow then clear my emails. Had done nothing but watched TV programs and opened my presents. As usual, not as many presents as my sister but these are enough for me. :)

小珠 gave me a neck pillow with a moo moo design and a pack of anime characters poker cards. She still remembered I like Vampire Knight. I have collections of different kinds/designs of poker cards and I enjoy looking at them once in a while. The neck pillow is so comfortable. Can hold my heavy head. Ha ha ha... My ex-colleague/sister friend gave me a travel notebook. Wow... it really triggers my thoughts of going for my next trip. Shall bring along this notebook on my next trip and write down my daily experiences. 小珠, when will be our next trip???

My Xmas presents:



Today's dinner was prepared by my sister and me. We cooked spaghetti and soup. First time we cooked together (we only baked together in the past) and glad that the final product was good. We put in lots of ingredients. For soup wise, we used campbell's mushroom soup. Just added some fresh mushrooms in. Taste good. My parents enjoyed the dinner.








After dinner, we ate desserts ~ Panettone cake and Strawberries tart. These were ordered and delivered to us yesterday. They were good and we enjoyed tonight's feast. A warm christmas celebration at home.




Clock ticking and christmas day going to end soon. Now, looking forward to year end and has to start thinking of my new year's resolution.

Christmas Eve 2010

Ho ho ho.... can hear santa coming to town...

Well, its Christmas eve today! Today, we did not have mood to work (but still work) and my colleagues all put up happy mood while waiting for time to go home. I did not want to stress myself today so tried to do only things that need to be done today. The rest, leave it till next week.

We went for lunch and back in office to continue working. Official time to leave office was 3.30pm and I ended up leaving at 5.15pm after finishing up all we need to do so that we can enjoy the long weekend. Our team members will be taking the off-in-lieu for Christmas day on coming Monday. It will be a quiet day on Monday hence is the best day to clear the special leave. This leave has to clear off within this year. Guess office will be super quiet without us. Ha ha ha.

Went to buy Christmas and Birthday gift for my niece. Bought a Zinc sling bag as Birthday present. For Christmas present, bought a storybook, a file, a pouch and a notebook for my niece. All in blue colour. Hope she likes them.

By the time I finished choosing the presents, realised that it was already 7pm. Our movie was at 7.15pm!! Just in time uh. We watched "Meet The Parents: Little Fockers". We watched it's first movie and this was the third. Guessed we had missed the 2nd one but it was fine as the story had no connection in fact. There were lots of laughter and we really enjoyed it.

After the movie, went for dinner at Food Republic. Thought of having Sushi Tei but it was too late and they stopped serving cooked food. Not a bad idea to eat at Food Republic. We had carrot cakes, chicken wings and ice-kacang as dessert. Yummy...





Before going back, took some photos on the Christmas decor at VivoCity. The Xmas tree this year is awesome. I like it.

Finally it declared

We have been asking around on whether there is any early release for us on Christmas eve. Nobody knows the answer. Finally, email was sent out to declare that we can leave office by 3.30pm on 24th and 31st Dec. Yippy!!!

Believe we can only leave office after 2- 3pm. Hopefully tomorrow I can go back on time at 3.30pm. There will be some touch up work to be done for our office renovation and we need to leave by 3.30pm for safety sake. Good for me as it will allow me to make myself to leave office early.

So fast... tomorrow is Christmas eve. I still yet to buy presents for my niece. Need to source for them tomorrow. Had bought tickets for tomorrow evening movie. Our plan is to go for shopping, eat dinner then go for our movie. Nice plan to enjoy Christmas eve 2010.

Had a great fall!

This morning, I fell down at the carpark near my house. Was so sure that I would be careful when i wore quite high heel shoes but still fell down. It was so embarrassing hence quickly got up and walked towards the bus stop. Only when I was near the bus stop then realised that it was bleeding. Quite a bad fall. No choice... who asked me to be so careless.

This afternoon, went to HarbourFront to meet up with Tulip to have our Christmas celebration lunch. We chose Coffee Club since it would not be crowded. I had a coupon hence one of the main dish was 1 for 1. Very worth... We ordered 3 main course dishes, 1 side dish and 2 desserts for sharing. The food was good today and we all enjoyed them.









This evening, my colleague treated me a piece of cupcake from Cedele. It was nice. Next time can go and buy from the newly open shop next to our office building. Oh dear... am getting fatter and fatter now.



Our company gave us a little christmas gift. Chocolates!!! Nicely wrapped and really looked very "christmas". Will have our year end lunch in office next Thursday. First gathering in office. :P

Beary Beary Crystal

Went to VivoCity during lunch time as I am still looking out for what presents to buy for my niece. Need to get 2 ~ one for birthday and another for Christmas. Very difficult to buy her presents.

I still have a few presents yet to buy. Finally decided to buy Swarovski crystal for my mum. She likes crystal and I found one which was quite nice. Therefore decided to buy first and to continue to look out for other presents. The prices of the crystal are going up every year.

Today I intended to go off early so that I could make a trip to VivoCity again to continue my Christmas shopping. However, a bit delayed due to sending out some emails. In the end, decided to change to tomorrow. Hope timing will be good for me tomorrow night.

Going to have lunch with Tulip tomorrow. We yet to fix the place. Too many choices to choose from at VivoCity. :P

Big surprise!!!

This morning, woke up feeling so tired. Guessed not enough rest over the weekends. Before my sister left for work, I heard her telling my mum a good joke.

My niece gave my elder sister a big surprise. We went to Parkway Parade yesterday and my sister bought 2 boxes of Famous Amos cookies in gift boxes so that she can give as christmas present. I even told her to keep them in air tight containers or zip lock bag so that the cookies will remain fresh till christmas eve. To her surprise, my niece opened the box, not one but both, and ate the cookies this morning. OMG!!! I could not imagine how my sister felt when she saw the scene. The boxes was nicely wrapped up and my niece thought the cookies were for her. Ha ha ha... Do not know if to laugh or scold her.

I did not fulfil my task today to go home at 8pm. In the end, left only at 10pm. We were the last ones hence need to switch off the lights. Luckily there were both of us. Otherwise, I will just go off leaving the lights on. Strange lei... nowadays like everyone can go home early. But why I cannot lei??? Big question mark!!!

Magic Christmas

This afternoon, we went to Expo Max Pavillion to watch Magic show ~ Magic Christmas. It was a show by my sister's church pastor and his daughter. They are well-known magicians and once even presented their magic show in National Parade.

The show started with singing of Christmas song and the characters were Strawberry Shortcake, Tinklebell, Teddy bear, Robot and Pinocchio. So cute... I had a good view as no one in front of me. Four seats in front of our row were emptied. Perhaps they could not make it...

However, guess the last part of the show was a bit no good. The pastor started to ask newcomers to join and believe in their God. A bit pushy in the tone but my sister said he usually do that in their church service. However, for us who watched the magic show just for fun only felt so uncomfortable. But it's ok lah. We just kept quiet only and waited for the show to end.

After the show, we went to Parkway Parade for dinner. Reached there at around 5.30pm and went to Jack's Place. My niece was so happy as she wanted to order escagot. She really has high class tastebuds... Expensive to raise her up. Ha ha ha...

We ordered main dish for ourselves and some side orders. The food was good and we enjoyed it. Had been quite some time ago since we dined together with my sister's family outside.

So sad... tomorrow Monday again. My target is to go back latest by 8pm. Let's see if I can make this little wish comes true. :)

Sooooo tireddddd

Today I was extremely tired until I kept lying down either on the sofa or bed. Woke up late due to sleep late at 3am. Whole afternoon just sat in front of TV and watched the shows. Too lazy to go for my shopping.

Did not really watch a lot of J dramas as I slept while watching one of it. I think I was too tired during the weekdays and now body & mind too exhausted. Need more rest...

In the end, wasted my Saturday at home. No choice lah but must adjust my time spent in office. Need more time at home...

Ok... must do that from next week onwards.

Good movie

My boss back from his holiday in Hokkaido. This trip was to go for skiing but heard that he just ski for one day as there was not enough snow. Perhaps he was too early this year to be there or it was too late for the snow to build up for skiing. However, without skiing, there is still a lot of things to see and do in Hokkaido.

We went to Clementi for lunch. My boss wanted to drink Koi bubble tea. However, we decided to go to another Taiwan brand bubble tea when we saw that the queue was so long. Moreover, we were the only "over aged" few who queued for the drink.

The stall we went to is OK bubble tea. Just opposite Koi and with no queue. We took quite some time to order and did not know that a queue was formed after we finished ordering. Think we were too "old" for this drink as we were so blurred when ordering. Ha ha ha.

Left office quite late today and took my colleague's car to HarbourFront MRT. This cut down our travelling time and had some time to take some finger food at McDonald. No intention to take dinner as we were still very full from what we had during lunch.

Watched the movie "Rapunzel : A Tangled Tale" and really like this one. It was so funny. The horse, Maximus, was like a dog with funny actions that made audience laughed. Rapunzel and the wicked "mum" sang well. The chameleon, Pascal, was so cute. Disney really good in making nice animated movies. This movie gave some Christmas atmosphere. I felt so happy after watching it. Great movie.
