Engine not able to start

Back to work today. However, engine still cannot start properly. Have a lot of things to do but I still yet to do. Don't feel like doing lei. Drag and drag.

Bought tickets for Friday movie. Now looking forward to Friday.

Hari Raya Puasa

Woke up at 11am today. So good. No work today. Today is Hari Raya Puasa holiday.

There were some problem relating to work and I had to settle them in the afternoon. Stayed home for whole afternoon catching up with those j-dramas. Watched till most up to date episodes.

Went to Tampines One for dinner at Sushi Tei. After dining at the branch at NEX, we now felt that NEX one is better. Seems like in future, we will switch to dine there.

Bought some mooncakes which my parents like. My sister also bought some yam mooncakes. Sound like wow... she bought... but I was the one paying. She paid for the ones my parents like. Those from 大中国.

Tomorrow back to work. Have to clear my work so as to prepare the time allocated for distributing mooncakes on Thursday and Friday.

Holiday eve

So gloomy when I woke up this morning. It's Monday again. But... the good news is, tomorrow is a holiday! Yippy!

Went to work myself as my colleague need to run an errand. I was so tired that I dozed off after hearing the next stop was Outram Park. Since mine was the next stop, I closed my eyes and this closure almost made me missed my stop. When I opened my eyes, I found the train was empty and quiet. Realised that it had reached HarbourFront. I quickly got out of the train. Just seconds, the train door closed and moved away. Lucky uh...

No mood to work today as holiday mood. Office quiet as many colleagues took leave to enjoy the long weekend. We decided to watch movie, Final Destination 5, tonight and bought tickets for 9.10pm show. GV max still had plenty of seats for us to choose. So good.

We were late for the movie after taking dinner. Thought there would be 20 minutes grace period for us but when we entered the theater at 9.25pm, it had already started. However, we did not miss too much I think.

The whole show was so "bloody" and we tried to skip watching all those scenes. Watched some which we accidentally or no time to close our eyes. Ha ha ha... Paid to torture ourselves. Overall, the movie plot was similar to the earlier ones. The next one we are waiting is "The Smurfs". Coming soon on 1 Sep.

So fast

So fast. It's Sunday again.

My niece came today and after she completed her homework, played with her for a while. Behaving very well today. Did her homework on time and thus could play with online games. During dinner, passed vegetables to her and although she kept saying she did not want, ultimately she finished all. She liked the dishes cooked by my mum today and kept asking for more.

Tomorrow no school hence they went home later than usual tonight.

Ai yah... why we need to work tomorrow lei? If it's holiday.... it will be super the good!

Singapore President Election Day - 2011

This morning, our whole family went for voting at nearby school. Day of Singapore President Election 2011. We reached at around 11.30am and completed the voting within 10mins. No queue at all. So good.

After that, we took bus to Kovan MRT station. Reached Dhoby Ghaut and changed bus 36 to The Regent hotel where we booked a table at Tea Lounge for high tea. I almost unable to get a table after late in responding to available table under waitlist. Luckily, the staff called me yesterday that there was still a table available and I confirmed it immediately.

I am going next month with my colleagues but viewing my dad did not have a chance to join us on our previous trip and since he could take leave today due to the election day, we went for it again.

We stayed there for 4 hours and moved to Ngee Ann City. Sad that there was nothing for us to buy and ended up buying just some food in Cold Storage (for my niece). Walked one round at the Mooncake festival fair but as we were all very full, we had no interest on the mooncakes. Hahaha...

Took a cab home and rest. Shall continue watching J-dramas tonight. I have to catch up with quite a few of them as I did not manage to watch them during weekdays.

Who will be our President lei??? It will be known early tomorrow.

Late

This morning, we have to reach office by 9.15am. So bad that it rained and I had a feeling that I will reach office after 9.15am as usually there will be heavy traffic when it rains.

It rained when my colleague came to fetch me. There was a jam near my house leading to express way. ECP had jam too and true enough, we reached office only at 9.35am. In the end, the VIPs came only at around 10.30am. Ai yoh... no need to go so early mah.

Went to Haagen Dazs to buy ice-cream mooncakes for my customers. Bought 4 boxes and with Citibank card, I could buy 2 boxes of 2 pcs mooncakes at $10 each (usual is $32). Very worth it lei.

Watched movie "Cars 2" at 8.40pm. I was worried that there was no continuation as I did not watch the first movie. After watching, I had no regret. The movie was nice and I liked the animation on the cars drawn so nicely and so "real" (imitating human). Good ones for kids. They will sure like it.

We had dinner before the movie. Not much time hence we bought food from Burgar King and ate it at the cinema sofa. Brought the french fries into theater and enjoyed them slowly. Luckily no staff patrolling at that time.

One more day

One more day and its Friday! Looking forward to it.

Tomorrow we have VIPs coming to our office with our big boss. We were told to be in office by 9.15am and to wear normal office attire instead of casual attire. As they will be walking around our area, my boss ensure we are fully prepared.

So tired today.

Free Lunch

Today we had free Boon Tong Kee chicken rice bento set. Our original plan was to go to Vivo City for lunch and I will go to Daiso to buy gift bag for the cookies bought for one of my Muslim customer.

There was a meeting going on and they ordered lunch in. Happened to have few packets of rice left and to prevent wastage, we ate them. The food was super good and filling. I finished the whole set. After finishing, I regret... But I really cannot resist chicken rice uh.

Jumbo

This evening, we went to Jumbo Seafood restaurant at Demsey Road. It's a team dinner with our Japan and Korea colleagues.

The food was good and we had a very good chatting during the dinner. Our boss chose to sit at our table instead of entertaining our 2 overseas colleagues. He was the only man in our table. Talked on many topics and the best one was the "chicken" topic.

Well, though I could not get home early tonight, I did enjoy the evening with full of laughter. The only bad part is... I am still very full now. Ate too much liao.

Monday Blue

Why is it Monday Blue but not Monday Green, Red or Yellow? Why there is no Tue Blue, Wed Blue, Thur Blue or Fri Blue? Who invented this term leh?

Woke up feeling so tired and felt like not waking up. How I wish today is still Sunday. This is the described Monday Blue...

Today, bought 1 lot of DBS shares to average down my cost. Hopefully one day when I sell them, I can make some decent profit. :P

Good girl at home

I woke up surprising early this morning. Set alarm for 9.30am and ultimately got out of bed at 10am. After shower, started to set up washing machine to rinse 4 sets of new bedsheets. While waiting for the bedsheets to be washed, I started to pack my wardrobe. Cleared those long long time never wear clothing so that there is space for my new ones bought yesterday.

A bit troubled by one of the new blouse I bought yesterday. The shop assistant missed out one of the belt and I had to call and ask if I can collect it back. Otherwise, it will be too loose and I will look like pregnant. Ha ha. The best part is... I yet to call as at tonight ....

After hanging the bedsheets to dry, I started to install anti-virus and firewall software in my brother's new laptop. Run all window updates, defragment and did a full scan of the pc. I asked my sister to sync his iphone to pc for my brother as I need to do my office work. Watched a few episodes of J-drama and I am up-to-date now.

My mum cooked for dinner and we had homely cooked dishes tonight. Yummy...

Huge damage!

This afternoon, my mum, sister and me took train to Boon Keng MRT station as we would like to buy a laptop for our brother. No need a very high end type and just enough for surfing net and basic function will do.

We went to Audio House and were deciding between notebook and netbook. The shop assistant said it will be better for notebook as netbook will be slow. She recommended a very basic one with promotion. An acer notebook for $599. Usual price is $799. Colour is blue which my brother likes. It was very light and we decided on it within 10min. Fast uh!

After that, we went to Nex at Serangoon for dinner. My mum would like to eat at Sushi Tei and the 3 of us queued for it. Luckily, we only need to wait for about 20mins and able to get a table. The food there was very good. The salmon sashimi was so nice that we ordered 4 plates (4 x 5pcs). Sweetness stayed in our mouths after eating. No regrets!

The other food was also very good. The prawns, the sotong, the scallop, the maki, ice-cream etc... were soooooo good. Next time can go there again. We felt that the quality was super the good uh!

After the dinner, the nightmare started. I went to Bega and was there for about 1hr. Tried many pieces and bought 15 pieces home. 13 tops and 2 bottoms (three quarter pant). The assistant was so "good" to be able to get those clothing that suit me. I have to worry on my credit card bill again next month. Spent about $550 uh. The only excuse I could think of was... I did not buy clothes for long time. Half a year buy once. So I shot and clear 6 months quota.

Ha ha ha...

Nice food

I had lunch with my colleague at International Plaza after our meeting with customer at M Hotel. Since it was already 12.40pm, we decided to have lunch first before heading back to office. We decided on Bimi Kaiho Japanese Restaurant. This is a popular restaurant and we would like to try the food there.

I ordered the tempura don set. The portion was quite big and I had no regret eating this set. The tempura was nicely cooked. My colleague ordered cold soba set and it was nice too. She said the cha soba was QQ and nice. Next time I must try.

We watched movie "Zookeeper" at 7.50pm. Was a bit late but I think we did not miss too much. The movie was very entertaining as it kept us laughed and laughed. It was so funny till we kept laughing and laughing. Real good to clear our tiredness.

After the movie, we went to Carls Junior for dinner. Ordered the fish n chips. Very long time didn't eat and was satisfied with the food. After eating, we headed home.

Busy day

So busy today but did not know what I was busy on. Just kept clearing emails, updating, handled enquiries, sent confirmations, did some data searching... And it's 9.30pm already!

Thought of going home earlier today but was "postponed". Can only do so tomorrow as we need to leave office latest by 7.30pm to catch 7.50pm movie.

Well, shall wait till Saturday to rest then....

Curry noodles

This afternoon, we went to Mei Ling Street hawker center for lunch. Finally I managed to eat the curry noodles. My colleagues ate it before and gave very good review.

The curry was quite spicy and it really tasted good. The ingredients were generously gave by the stall owner. Very big portion at only $3.90. Q & Q passed! Shall eat again on my next visit. Needs to be early before it is sold out. :)

Korean Food

This afternoon, I had lunch with customer at Suntec City. We went for Korean food at Gaia Korean Restaurant. The food was surprisingly good and of reasonable prices. Shall bring my parents there one of these days.

Had another coffee session with another customer at Millenia Walk TCC at 3pm. By the time we finished the discussion, it was already 4.20pm and had to rush back to office. Was busy until 7pm then could slow down my pace. Too hectic to have continuous meet up with customer. Must stick to just see one per day rule. Hee hee...

Up to date

Warm morning. Woke up with sweat. Did not really have good sleep last night as it was so warm. So lazy to get out of bed to adjust the fan direction. In the end, not getting full sleep.

Suddenly, the sky turned dark. Another 20mins later, it rained heavily. What an amazing change of weather.

The whole day was cooling and how I wished I could stay at home to sleep. Felt tired for the whole day and wished to sleep earlier tonight. However, I know that it is impossible as I will busy watching j-dramas again.

Today is Okada's birthday. Happy Birthday!!!

OMG

Ai yoh!!! What happened to me today???

I slept at around 2.30am and when I woke up today, I found myself like so fresh and not tired at all. My sister had already gone out to her church. I was wondering what time it was and looked at my iphone. I did not set alarm since it was Sunday.

Too my shock, it was already 1.1opm!!! I overslept liao!!! I quickly got out of my bed. Asked my parents why didn't they wake me up. They said I was sleeping like a log and did not have to wake my up since its Sunday. Ai yoh!!! I did not want to sleep so long because I may have problem getting to sleep tonight.

My niece came shortly and after she did her homework, I showed her the ice-creams I bought yesterday. She liked them and ate quite a few pieces. Don't worry. Each piece was of small size so no problem to eat more than 1. My sister also found the watermelon and melon shapes ice-creams interesting. I like the ones from brand Dole. They are so fruity (Orange, grape, pineapple and apple flavour). Will buy them again.

I yet to do my office work. Better start now...

Plenty of oiishi food

Finally I had my haircut this afternoon. Got to wake up early today as my appointment was at 1pm. I was slightly late as I missed one bus and that caused me late by 10mins.

This evening, we went to Himawai Japanese restaurant at Alexandra Road. It was full house when we reached there and we were very lucky to be able to get a table when we called for reservation just 1 hour before we reached there.

We took the ala carte buffet and there were quite a lot of selections. Ordered some of them and the food was not bad. Just that the price was a bit ex. Perhaps it was due to this was the few restaurants that serve shabu shabu as part of ala carte buffet menu. We saw quite a lot of people ordering it but we did not as we did not want our stomach to get so full easily.

After dinner, we went to our aunty house to collect some rice cakes. Hers were the best one I could find. She made 50 for us this time round. This was because we did not get from her few weeks ago when we could not make it on time to collect from her. Yippy! We can enjoy them tomorrow.

I brought along cooler bag as there was intention to buy ice-cream home. Since we were at central area, I suggested to buy ice-cream from Meidi-ya at Liang Court. In the end, I bought around $50 ice-creams home. All from Japan. I could not resist the temptation. Shall eat with my niece tomorrow. :)

Horrible bosses

Horrible bosses? Mine? No no no... It's the title of the movie we watched tonight.

It's kind of weird to tell people that we were watching "Horrible Bosses". Hee hee....

We had dinner at LJS before we went for our movie. 3 of our colleagues joined us for dinner and we chit chat before we rushed to the theater. We went to VivoCity at 7.50pm and reached there at around 8.20pm. Some time taken to park the car.

The movie was full of laughter. Funny shows and it made audiences laughed and laughed. A good way to relax our Friday night.

Share prices down down down

These few days, stock prices went down a lot. I decided to buy some shares and hope I can buy at a low price. After discussing with 小珠, I decided to bid for Starhub shares for tomorrow opening. I am purchasing under my SRS account. Hope price will go down to the level I want.

I am holding some shares for few companies and they are now at a loss. Hopefully, in future, it will rise and rise (after I bought the shares I want). Hee hee...

Glad that it lefts one more day to go and its FRIDAY!

Anniversary

Today is my 1 year anniversary in this company. Looking back, the first 10 months passed like a flash. It slowed down for the last 2 months. Not sure if this is good or bad.

I celebrated this day with a lunch with my 3 colleagues. One of them joined the company on the same day as me. We went to Watami at The Central. Enjoyed the food so much.

It was already 3.15pm when we reached office. Rushed to clear emails. I was helping my colleague to clear some of her work as she is currently covering another colleague's work as he is on leave for 3 weeks. He left a pile of work behind which we find it unacceptable. I will help her up first while she clears the backlogs. Boss should rate that colleague as VVVVVVBE uh!

Happy Birthday, Singapore!

Today is our 46th birthday. Although I did not really feel the joy as I was watching the parade thru TV, I still felt happy today.

My aunty and family came to our house this evening. My mum cooked fried noodles and bought some side dishes. The dinner was delicious and we finished almost all the food. Just left a bit for my brother who works late.

Felt so guilty. Ate quite a lot of titbits and ice-cream today. Uh!!!!

So sad now. Tomorrow has to work.... Good news is... just left 3 days and its Friday again. :)

Holiday mood

Today, I had no heart to work. On holiday mood since morning. When my colleague suggested to go for Korean food for lunch, my eyes blink blink widely as I kind of craving for spicy soupy food.

Reached the restaurant at ard 1.30pm and we ordered the set lunch. The side dishes were quite nice and by the time we finished our main course, we were very very full. No chance to ask for more servings of the side dishes.

We were all very satisfied and went back to office. Not too busy today but still had some paperwork to clear before leaving office. Strange that I forgot to ask 小 for dinner together since tomorrow is holiday.

Another strange thing was that I also did not think of asking her if we wanted to watch a movie tonight. My sis and mum thought that I would watch a movie tonight and were surprised that I was back home at around 10 plus.

Yeh!!! Tomorrow can wake up late!

Expo sales

This morning, we woke up and could not find our parents. They did not go for marketing as the trolley was still at home. My sister asked my brother called my mum and knew that they went to the temple for prayer (7th month prayer). No breakfast for us so we ordered McDonald delivery. Had Big Breakfast today. So satisfied. Very long time did not eat liao.

My niece came at around 2pm. We asked her to quickly finish her lunch and homework. After that, we went to Singapore Expo. There were Metro and Harvey Norman sales. We bought quite a lot of items from Metro sales. Mattress protectors, cushion covers, cooking book for my mum and titbits. My niece was so happy to buy some stationery and titbits too.

We took a cab back home and went out for dinner. No cooking tonight so we went to the central foodcourt to eat. My niece wanted to eat crabs so we ordered 2 of them for sharing. The food from this store was good. Shall go there to eat again.

So sad. Tomorrow is Monday again. But.... Tuesday is holiday! So there is one more rest day. I am going to wear jeans to work tomorrow. Yippy!

Rest at home

Woke up at 8plus this morning to settle some work and went back to sleep. Was half awake but refused to get out of bed until 12noon.

Played iphone games and watched TV programs for the whole afternoon. Turned to J-dramas at night.

This was how I spent my Saturday. A bit wasted but no choice lor. Having some headache and did not want to do any walking hence just sat the whole day.

Hope the headache will go away after tonight. Cross my fingers!

Movie time

Today, I supposed to meet my ex-ex colleagues for lunch at Harbourfront Centre. However, boss called for a last minute meeting near lunch time and last for an hour. I could not make it for the appointment. So bad...

This evening, we were so busy handling enquiries and I had no time to rest until 7pm. Had to clear work and ended up no time for dinner before our movie. Our colleagues bought same session movie tickets and we went to VivoCity together. Bought some bread and sneaked in to eat.

We watched "Rise of the Planet of the Apes". It was very good. Storyline was good and quite touching on some scenes. Glad that we did not missed this movie.

After the movie, I was busy handling enquiries for USA and it kept me occupied for the whole journey home.

At last... its Friday night...

Raining day. Good weather.

My colleague drove us to VivoCity for lunch today. After lunch, I bought a cup of 贡茶. Queue not too long so buy lor.

This evening, I managed to close some deals and finished the paperwork pretty fast. Just that I dragged on one month end report which I decided not to continue tonight. Shall do it tomorrow. Deadline is tomorrow. So die die must complete it by tomorrow evening.

Bought tickets for tomorrow night movie. Another 2 colleagues of ours bought tickets for same showtime. The seats are not very near ours but at least we can go to VivoCity together.

Silent

Silent day... Till tomorrow shall update...

So so so tired

Again, another day with me physically and mentally tired.

Not enough sleep uh. Yet refuse to go to bed early. There are so many things to do once back home. Watching j-dramas is now my priority to-do list at home. Can't resist.

Tired morning

Woke up at 6.50am this morning. Need to prepare to accompany my mum for medical checkup. Due to morning jam, we had to leave home earlier to reach Changi General Hospital by 8.25am.

My mum was to do ultra sound scan for her neck and result will be out by next week. I hope the result will be good and make her relieves.

Whole day feeling very tired. Worked very late tonight and hope tomorrow can go back home earlier. I still have quite a few epi of J drama to chase.
