Furukawa

Weather forecast reported that today will be a cloudy day. Indeed the forecast was so accurate. Can't see blue sky today.

Took 8am train to Hida Furukawa and reached there around 9.15am. It was very happening there as they were celebrating an annual festival there on 19 and 20th Apr. There were many stores set up for kids to play (catching gold fishes etc) and food stores like Takoyaki etc.

There were many visitors today as all were there to watch this annual event. Otherwise, this town will be very quiet. Lucky for us to choose this day to be there and we enjoyed ourselves there.

In the afternoon, we went to Imizu but as there were nothing much to see, we went back to Toyama. Guess what??? We could actually stayed in Kinokuniya bookstore for 3 hours! I bought Miura Haruma's photobook and 2 small casual bags.

Tomorrow we are going to Tonami to watch tulips. However, we won't be able to get into the park as the official Tulip festival starts only on 23th Apr. We can only visit their gallery. Hope can see some nice tulips there.

That's all for today and we are going back to our room to rest. Bye now.

Kanazawa

Today, our plan was to go to Kanazawa. Woke up one hour later than yesterday as there are more frequent trains to this place.

The journey took about 40mins by limited express train. As we bought JR pass, we just need to reserve tickets and we can take trains comfortably. Rather warm today and as usual, we walked a lot today, although we did purchase the loop bus ticket.

Bought some titbits there and a little tortoise ornament. Very cute so could not resist it. Managed to take some pictures of sakura at the park there. Lucky...

Plan for tomorrow is to go to Furakawa. Believe will be a more leisure day for us tomorrow and will have lessor walking.

Hope tomorrow will have a good weather too. :)

Tateyama Alpine Route

Today, we went to Tateyama Alpine Route. Took 8am train from Toyama station and arrived at Tateyama ard 11am. Took several types of transport for this visit. When we reached the snow corridor (just opened yesterday), we were so excited to see it. Felt so happy and lucky today to have such a good weather. The view was so nice with clear blue sky. We enjoyed the snow on the floor (too bad it is not snowing) and spent 3 hours there just to take photo and walked around the place.

We were a little bit behind plan on the timing hence do a quick photo taking at the last stop (Kurobe dam) before taking the bus back to the JR station. Got to ensure we can reach hotel on time and not stranded somewhere.

Basically, we enjoyed ourselves today and hope tomorrow will have good weather too. Our plan for tomorrow is to go to Kanazawa. Bye now.

Shirakawa-go and Takayama

We woke up very early today and had breakfast in hotel before taking train to Takayama station. From there, we took bus to Shirakawa-go. We were lucky that we could catch the early bus hence our schedule was on plan.

Looking at the sky, it was so cloudy and we prayed hard that the weather will turn better so that we can take photos with clear blue sky. We were indeed very lucky and our photos were mostly with nice blue sky. Took quite a few photos on cherry trees (though not at the full bloom stage) and tulips. Phew... so lucky.

Not very cold today and in fact was rather hot. Had to take off my thermal wear as I was sweating. Ha ha.

Bought Bento set for dinner tonight and will be going back to room soon. Tomorrow weather looks good and we are going to Tateyama Alphine route. Hope will be a nice nice day for us again.

Takayama

Arrived in Japan

We arrived Narita ahead of schedule. Believe the weather is good hence no delay. Made reservation to Toyama and all went smoothly. Weather in Tokyo was rather warm hence no thick clothing required but when we reached Toyama, it was so cold (10 deg). Have to wear more clothing tomorrow.

Tour around Toyama area and last stopped at Kinokuniya bookstore. Bought Takeru's 2nd photobook. Just finished dinner and shall go back room to rest. Tomorrow we are going to Shirakawa-go.

Changi Airport T3

Here I am. At Singapore Changi Airport terminal 3.

Just arrived and cleared immigration. Gate open at 10.40pm hence still have a little bit of time to wander around. Nothing much to buy here. If is at Narita airport... ha ha... maybe no time to finish shopping.

Will arrive Narita airport around 7.30am tomorrow. Once touched down, we will proceed to exchange our JR pass and go to Toyama directly. Shall update again.

Hot weather

Eeee.... Hot..... Warm....

Today's weather is very hot. Went out for lunch with my mum and do some last minute shopping for my trip. When reached home, felt so sticky.

Was craving for ice-cream hence asked my mum to buy for me when she went over to the provision shop to buy newspaper.

Wow... cold cold one. Feel so good. Even Moo Moo wants to eat. :P

Will be taking flight SQ638 departing 23:40hr to Narita airport and this is my first time taking A380 plane. Heard it is more spacious and I shall experience it in abt 5hrs time.

Count down

Today is 14 April and tomorrow is the day! Hooray hooray! Tomorrow I am going to Japan!

Just checked the weather forecast. Temperature is getting higher in Tokyo and Toyama. Therefore, I don't have to worry that I did not have enough thick clothing. This time round, bringing light jacket and cardigan only.

Now trying to find more new DS games so that we can play during our trip. Shall do some searching of new games before going to sleep.

Oops... I forgot about Hiro's birthday

Uhhhh... I totally forgot about Hiro's birthday yesterday (13 Apr). Only just past 12 midnight then I recalled. So bad.... Well its ok, shall now wish him Happy Belated Birthday.

Finally my long leaves going to commence today (14 Apr). Though my flight to Tokyo is 15 Apr near to midnight, I was asked to take leave earlier in order to clear my 2008 leaves. Maybe good for me lah. So that I can relax and pack my luggage slowly.

This time round, I am borrowing my sister's luggage. It is bigger and lighter than mine. Hope I can buy more stuffs for myself this time round.

I have decided to bring my cutie Moo from Switzerland and let her accompany me. Hee hee. :P

True Sunday

Finally it's Sunday. A day which I do not want it to come so fast. It marks end of weekend. So sad...

This afternoon, I went to Choa Chu Kang Columbarium with my parents and brother. We arranged to meet my aunt's family and my elder sister's family there. It is the annual tomb sweeping event. We reached there around 3pm and surprisingly, it was still crowded there. We visited my grandparents, uncle and aunty. Big group visiting this year.









After the visiting, we went for dinner at Sakae Sushi. That is my niece's favourite dining place. She loves cold soba and she was enjoying herself to the food today.

Saturday or Sunday ???

Today when I woke up, I kept thinking it is Sunday. However reality is too good to me that it is still Saturday. Ha ha. One more day for me to rest before going to work on Monday (though I will be taking leave from Tuesday onwards).

Seems time passed very slowly today. I had done many many things within today itself and how I wish everyday is like this. Our furniture arrived today and we had busy time cleaning and tidying the cupboard and TV console for my mum's room. Bought new mattress for my parents and hope they will have better sleep now. The old one was too soft and not very comfortable. My dad did not know we had bought it and see how he responses to it tonight after lying on it.

Did some packing today for my trip. Will continue bit by bit since there are still a few days for me to do it slowly.

Just knew that cherry blossom for Tokyo has almost ended. Got some pictures of different types of Sakura and looking at them compensate the loss of not be able to see them personally there.

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday.

This afternoon, I went to temple for praying with my mum. Before we stepped out of our house, it rained very heavily with thunders. Wow... sudden downpour uh. Luckily the rain stopped when we reached the temple at Bugis.

After that, we went to Plaza Singapura as I need to have my fringe trimmed. Had it done within 10mins and my hairstylist refused to let me pay for it and said that will add the fee during my next visit. So pai seh.

Stomach very hungry and we headed to have our early dinner. My mum chose Ajisen Ramen and we enjoyed the ramen there. So spicy, so tasty. Yummy.

Is Knowing good???

I am not questioning if the movie "Knowing" which I had just watched is good or not. Am thinking of the question on : Is it good to know our future???

Guess it is a "no" for me. I do not want to know what's gonna happen to me in the future. I rather enjoy my life as how it should be and not working on how to change my life to a better or perfect one by changing what it should be. Simple is good and good is simple. Don't make life so difficult.

This movie is very thrilling to me. Some of the parts are so spooky and I think it scared me when the sound effect was too loud. Not too sure if it is due to we are seating too near the screen. Overall is a good one and I enjoyed it throughout.

Bought these at Watson today. Got attracted to the packaging and it looks so nice. Therefore buy it and try it. Real nice...

My sister got call from the car dealer this afternoon that the COE bid was successful. Therefore, she will get her car very soon. Now we can plan to go outings liao. Ha ha.

Cupcake

おいしい Cupcake. Bought this during lunch time today. It looks so delicious that I bought it and true enough, it tastes fantastic. So soft, so smooth... Try it and you will sure like it. :)

This week is busy for me as my colleague is on business trip and I need to cover some of her work. Hope all will go well for me this week and now looking forward to Friday which is a public holiday. After next monday, I will be taking leave for my trip to JAPAN. Envy? Ha ha.

Looking forward for this trip and I really really hope I can catch cherry blossom this time round. But will not put in too high hope as it will be sad if I really miss it. Do think that there are chances for me to view it as long as we go to the right locations. Wish us good luck. :)

Today I started to play Happy Harvest game in Facebook. Saw 小珠 playing similar game yesterday and find it fun. Happy harvesting...

Happy Birthday to Haruma

Today is Haruma's 19th birthday. 春马くん誕生日おめでとう. Found this photo and he looked cool.

I woke up very early today at 9.30am. This is very unusual for me on Sunday. Actually it is not a bad idea to wake up early because I can do a lot of things with the additional hours I have.

Managed to fill up my photo album for last Nov trip and I was so satisfied with it. Dragged for so many months and finally complete my mission. Actual fact is because I don't want to continue to drag as my next trip is only 2 weeks later and once I am back from the trip, I have another set of photos for me to sort out. So happy when I looked at the photos I had taken and how I wish I can be there again soon. :)

My niece came today and poor girl that she cried because her mum scolded her for not doing her homework. No choice lah. Nowadays it is so stressful for mother to ensure kids will be able to catch up their work in school. However, she is still a very obedient girl who finished her work after her crying. When I asked her why she cried, she said because her mum yelled at her. She felt so pathetic. At the next moment, she was laughing liao after her mum talked to her properly. Children children uh.

It is so fast, end of weekend and have to go back to work tomorrow. Hope following week will go smoothly and is now looking forward for Friday as it is Good Friday. Holiday.. Yeh yeh :)

How I spend a warm warm day

Today is so hot.... Woke up and find myself so warm and even cold shower can't help. My sister then asked me if want to accompany her to view car again. This time round, is to go to the Mazda authorised dealer at Macperson area. See... my guess is correct. In her heart, she has already decided to get Mazda 2. Just that she doesn't want to confess. Ha ha.

She was a little shock to hear that the car price went up by about 6k within just one month. The reason is actually due to the escalating of yen rate. In the end, she finally decided to buy the car as there seems to be a sign that the COE will be going up too. As usual, she started to ask for freebies and she got all she wants. By the end of the deal done, we were so hungry that we decided to go to Vivocity for dinner.

After much consideration, we decided to dine at Earl Swenson. Finished our dinner and started shopping. Both of us bought a pair of shoe each at Tangs. She influenced me uh. Luckily we used vouchers to pay for the shoe. So its consider free.

Am craving for ice-cream and we went to Haagen Dazz to fulfil my wish. Yum Yum. Nice nice ice-cream. I finished them off. Took photos on our picks.

That is how I spent my day today. So fast, it is night time already. Shall now starts to decorate my photo album for last Japan trip (Nov 08). Bye and nite nite.

Movie ~ Sauces ~ Train

TGIF! Finally can enjoy weekend again. :)

Just watched movie "Climbers High" and reached home at 12.55am. This time round, we managed to catch the trains and thus not "stranded" at Vivo. This is a long movie and I find it not bad. It did not cover on the details of the plane crash but focusing on the message to people that there are many things reporters are unable to report or another way to say is reporting is very "political". Not all news are reported and not all reported news are correct. Was very touched on the part when the victims letters (wrote before the crash) were read and the part when one of the reporter described what he had seen on the crash venue. Hope the 4 only survivors will get over this unfortunate disaster and are staying well. Really sad when it mentioned that if rescue teams arrived earlier, many will have the chance to be survived. It was said that they arrived 10hrs after the crash. From internet search, it did mention that survivor who awoke amid the wreakage heard screaming and moaning from other survivors but this gradually died down during the night.
We bought 20 pcs nuggets from Mcdonald for our dinner and we are shocked that the crew gave us 5 pkts of curry sauce and 13 pkts of chilli sauce. Appreciate her kindness as I can keep it for my niece who is super addicted to Mcdonald curry and chilli sauce.

Chocolate

Bought one of my favourite chocolate at Cocoa Tree during lunch. Yummy yummy. Craving for this for so many days and finally bought it. This chocolate is originated from Switzerland and I love it ever since I took one small piece at the hotel I was staying during my trip there 2 years ago.

I am so happy that I can find it in Singapore but of course it costs more here. But at least I can have it whenever I crave for it. :)

Went to buy movie tickets for tomorrow. We bought tickets for Climber's High and it costs a bit more expensive as the movie will be shown in Cinema Europa. We are so shocked that we are the 1st to purchase ticket for this showtime. However, we are confident that we will not be the only ones in the threatre tomorrow. It's Friday and usually people buy tickets last minute. Hee hee.
