2 more days to go!

Time flies. It is already Wednesday. My colleague will be back next Monday hence I only have 2 more days to go before I can end my hectic evenings. Although it is my the other colleague's turn to take leave next Mon to Wed, I foresee it will not be as hectic as this week. Go Go 加油!

Conducted 2 interviews today for candidates applying for the job replacing our contract staff. One is too quiet and the other may be more "active". Headache now on do not know which one to choose. We will not be able to know the actual character and how is their performance during the interviews. Really have to try it then you know it. Shall wait till tomorrow before we decide. One more candidate will be interviewed tomorrow.

Tomorrow we are planning to go The Central to eat ramen. Yummy... so long never eat ramen from Marutama. Heard Watami Japanese restaurant (和民) new branch is opened at The Central. Who knows we will end up dining there. :P

Let my money grow

This afternoon, we went to OCBC bank to do some investment. Initially, we thought of terminating our NZD investment since there is some gain in it but after being explained by the advisor that there is penalty charge for early termination before maturity, we decided to continue to keep it until near to maturity date before deciding if to continue to roll or terminate it.

Since USD exchange rate is rather low today, we decided to invest in this foreign currency. Although there is no interest but we hope to take the chance of the possibility of the rate going up again so that we can sell it and earn the exchange rate gain. Instead of fixed deposit account, we open a USD saving account. It is more convenient and the withdrawal can be done anytime at any branch and it is immediate (no need to wait for 2 working days which will expose to any change in the rate).

Felt so satisfied that I am doing something to make my $$$ grow. Thanks to 小珠 who helped to lookout for opportunities. Else I will still keep my $$$ in saving account which interest is so miserable. :)

Haruma is cute

Just finished watching Samurai High School new epi. Found that he really can act cute! In this new epi, there were many scenes where he made funny actions. Unlike his role in Bloody Monday as most of the time, he was so serious. In this one, he had many scenes showing his funny faces and actions. Shirota finally became braver in this episode. He really like Haruma that wanted to protect him. So envy of their friendship. :P

Not much happenings in office today. Usual work day and was just clearing my daily work. One of my colleague is on leave for this whole week. Seems without her around is so quiet. No one sits beside me and seems a bit "empty". The colleague who always make a lot of noises while she was in office became rather quiet as she was busy with her work. Strange. Ha ha ha...

J + HK dramas

This morning was sunny but the weather suddenly changed in the afternoon. The sky became dark and started to rain. I liked rainy days while I was staying indoor. Cooling and nice to sleep. However, I did not sleep in the whole afternoon as I was busy with my niece. Ha ha....

It was until night time after she gone home that I managed to continue watching my outstanding episodes of J dramas and HK drama. My niece was using my laptop to play her online mini games and I had no chance to use it. Managed to finish all the episodes and now waiting for the new ones to be aired before I can start watching the new episodes.

I think I did not do much thing today. Not too sure what I was busy with as I could not think of what I actually did. Sound strange but it was true!

Tomorrow back to work. How I wish today is still Friday night...

Saturday Outing Part 3

We started at the junction at Wheelock Place and moved slowly towards Tangs, Paragon, Ngee Ann City, The Heeren and finally at Plaza Singapore. We stopped at each locations for some time to take the photographs. In total we used up about 2 1/2 hours. We started at 7pm and ended at 9.30pm before we headed home.

This year Light ups are not too bad. However, it was a bit difficult to take photographs. They were either blocked by trees, wires or lighting too dim to capture those nice spots. I even had the urge to take the nice view at the pedestrian crossing but cannot.... Traffic police there uh.

We were lucky that weather was good tonight. Not raining. Otherwise will spoil our photographing trip. When I reached home, I got to know from my sister that it was raining at the East area of Singapore. Phew... lucky uh. Singapore is small and yet can have such drastic different weather in different parts of the island. :)

Saturday Outing Part 2

Yesterday, fixed with 小珠 to go to Orchard Road for photo takings of this year Christmas Light ups. Since the photographing can only take place when it is dark, we met at 5pm for our dinner first.

It was so coincidence that we took the same train and cabin that we saw each other when we alight at Orchard MRT. No need to search for each other at the crowded station. Hee hee.

We made our way to Ion mall as we had decided to have our dinner at Watami Japanese restaurant. This is the one that we had our dinner 3 straight nights at Tokyo during our August trip. They opened their first branch at Ion and the next one will be at The Central. Location at The Central is better as we can go there during our lunch time. It is just few stations away from our office location.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is not bad. Rather spacious and we had a big table for just 2 of us. We ordered a few dishes and they were in fact same dishes we tried in Tokyo. However, due to there was only 2 of us eating, we could not order more dishes to try. Maybe next time. Too bad they don't serve CC Lemon which we liked it when we tried in Tokyo. We ordered Grapefruit juice with Cassis. The drink changed from yellow to purple after we stirred it. So nice colour.

After trying the food, we found they were rather nice. Although the hotstone rice tasted differently from the one we tried before in Tokyo, this one had its own taste. Overall, we were statisfied with the food. Too bad Tulip was not with us to try them. Perhaps next time lah.

Saturday Outing Part 1

This morning I woke up rather early as I planned to go to Tampines Mall Singtel Hello Shop to purchase mobile phone. I was rather unhappy with the customer service rendered by Singtel as it took 1 week for them to check on my enquiry. I could not stand it and just asked them to cancel my request and I will just get the new phone at Tampines branch (after the 1 week wait, the phone which was out of stock came in liao).

I finally get my new Sony Ericsson Satio phone in red colour. Initially I plan not to renew my contract but after comparing the cash top up and cancellation charge before contract due, I decided to renew it as it is cheaper to cancel. However, I have a problem. Do not know how to sync microsoft exchange email with my phone!!!

As usual, we went to Sushi Tei for lunch. We still find Japanese food is nicer. My mother prefer Japanese food then Chinese/Western. She a bit scared to eat meat and find Chinese cuisine too oily some time. Japanese food is less oily. My sister and I chose same few dishes we like (never get sick of them) and all of us enjoy the food.

I am rather satisfied with the potota salad and salmon sashimi photo taken by my Sony Ericsson Experia X1 phone. Not too bad lei. Ha ha...

Finally it's Friday again. A day I like most. Quite a peaceful Friday for me and glad that nothing "big" happened (today is Friday the 13th)

As usual, we went for movie tonight. Before the movie, we had dinner with one of our Korean colleague who flew back to Korea tonight. We brought him to VivoCity's Thai Accent restaurant. He preferred Thai food hence we decided on this restaurant since we have never been there.

The restaurant was not full when we reached there at around 7pm. Ordered our food and my colleague requested the waiter to serve our food as fast as possible since my Korean colleague needed to catch his flight at around 10pm.

We were rather impressed that the food really came out fast. The dishes we ordered tasted good. Will go there again since the price is rather reasonable and food is not bad. Just managed to capture photo of 2 dishes. Today's dinner is on Ah Gong's bill.

After dinner, we went back to office to clear last piece of work. Our movie started at 9.35pm hence walked over to the cinema by 9.25pm. Although we were slightly late when we reached the theater, we did not miss any advertisement or trailer as it just started when we were seated.


The movie we watching is "2012". Great visual effects. Although ending was rather predictable, the overall story was not bad. Real sad to see people waiting to die as they were helpless when disasters strike. It made me kind of remember the scene captured in TV for terrorist attacks of Twin Towers. I can still remember seeing people standing at windows of the towers looking out helplessly and some even jumped down from high floors when they were desperate, before the buildings collapse.

Hope such disaster will not happen and will just be seen on movie only. Do not want to think of the real situation which may strike us one day.

Liar Game 2

Today I woke up at 10am. Not working today as was on leave. Felt so tired and no strength when I sat up on my bed. Thought it was due to tiredness but after I bathed, I still felt like zombie zombie. Head spinning and headache started.

I had same feeling for the whole day. Not sure whether my medicine taken last night was overdoze. All 3 types taken will cause drowsiness. Decided to just take 2 of them tonight and leave the cough mixtures out. Otherwise, I will have problem going to work tomorrow morning. However, my block nose is better today.

Liar Game 2 was aired on Tues. Tried my luck and glad to be able to watch it tonight. It is still as good as the season 1. The suspense is still there. Not much changes on the casts and they look the same. Do find 戸田恵梨香 is prettier now. The "福永先生" is still as sly. So eager to know what will happen in the next epi. They are now in Game 4 (Game 1 - 3 is in season 1). Look forward to more surprises. :)

Doctor day

This morning, I went to see doctor due to my block nose and dry throat are not getting any better since last Thursday. Initially thought that it will recover within few days but it get worst actually. My throat is too dry and voice very hoarse. Morning is to take those normal medicine which will not cause drowsiness. Night time changed to medicine which will caused drowsiness.

In the afternoon, I went for my medical appointment at Singapore National Eye Centre. My appointment time is 3.25pm. I took a taxi from our office and reached there at 3pm. Usually the timing is rather accurate which I do not have to wait for a long time. However, today I waited for 1 hour before it was my turn. I nearly slept while waiting.

Back to office and gone through an interview with one of the applicant to replace our contract staff. This person is not too bad but we hope to find at least one or two more for comparison. So difficult to find a good one. During interview, everyone will say they are good. Only after working a while later than we will know how good that person is. Pray hard that we can have few more to select. :)

While typing, my eyes are closing... Took the medicine 1 hour ago and the effect is here liao. Shall sleep earlier although I can wake up a bit late tomorrow since I am clearing my annual leave. Just finished watching "Jin" new epi. Very good and how I wish I can finish watching till the end now.

"Tokyo Dogs" new epi is out too but I cannot tahan watching now. :(

Super busy day

This morning I had to attend a training at 9.30am which will last for 3 hours. Was a bit late and sat quietly at the front row (all other back rows seats fully taken). The trainer was so long winded that he mentioned that there will be a 15mins break at 11am but in the end it dragged till almost 12noon. Imagine we had sat on very hard plastic chairs for 2 1/2 hours and cannot move around to relax our body! In the end, majority of us left the room during the break thinking that the last 30mins will be for Q & A session. It was only known later that the 30mins was tutorial session and there were real cases for us to discuss. Too bad... we left the room. Not only my team members, others did the same thing. Ha ha...

Due to whole morning being used up by the training, I was rushing like a mad dog after I was back at my desk. In the end, we had our lunch only at 1.40pm. We went to the nearby 88 restaurant. My colleague recommended us for the set lunch at $7.80 nett per pax with reasonable portion and rather nice food. We decided to try it out. There were 5 of us and we could choose one dish each. The set came with free tea, rice, soup and dessert. Very worth it. We actually chose the $9.80 i/o $7.80 set as there were more varieties.

After lunch, was trying to continue my backlogs but received news from our contract staff that she decided to resign by first week of Dec as she has found a permanent job. We have to let go of her as we cannot provide her a permanent post hence have to start looking for replacement. Perhaps I already have sixth sense that she will be leaving us very soon, I was rather calm. Just worried that it will be very difficult life for me from Dec onwards. I have to take back my paperwork that is currently done by her. It will take sometime to teach the new person. . However, still wish her all the best on her new job. :)

New epi is out

Hooray Hooray. New epi for Samurai High School is out. Managed to watch it tonight!

As usual, Haruma still act funny and Shirota still so timid timid look. But this epi, Shirota finally spoke out to persuade his classmate, although still looked timid. Ha ha...

Still find it strange that makeup can really make one person looks different. See the timid Haruma and the warrior look Haruma.

Shall watch one epi of 宫心计 tonight. Cannot resist. Tomorrow has training at 9.30am but don't care liao. Still want to watch.

Tomorrow is 小珠 birthday and she is taking one day leave. Colleague asked her what is her plan tomorrow and guess what she said : sleep. Ha ha ha...

Celebrated 小珠 birthday with lunch at Sushi Tei together with Tulip. We ordered those dishes we liked. However, I forgot to take photo on first few dishes and took balance few dishes. Most of the dishes below were actually taken when part of it had been eaten. Can you find it?

Drama time again

Stayed at home as usual. A bit quiet today as my niece was not here. They had gone for a Kelong trip. My brother-in-law likes to fish and their family and his sister and sister-in-law always plan fishing trips.

Woke up at 7.30am this morning. Not because I willingly woke up but was waken up by phone call. There was some problem and my colleague called to inform me. After several calls, I continued to lay on the bed until 11am. Still feeling tired but had to wake up.

My nose continues to be blocked and still have difficulty breathing properly. However it is better than yesterday where it made me had headache (not enough oxygen?). Plan to see doctor tomorrow to get some medicine. Was sneezing yesterday and today. Hope I will get better tomorrow. Don't like block nose!

Continued to watch 宫心计. It becomes more and more interesting. I finished epi 12 and think can only continue watching tomorrow. Otherwise I will end up sleeping late again. Tried to look for Samurai High School new epi but not out yet. Shall also try again tomorrow.

So sad... Have to go back to work tomorrow. Will be busy for following 2 days as my colleague is on leave plus there is training which will take up some of my time. Well, hope it won't be that busy. Pray hard...

Dramas chasing

Phew... today I am soooooo busy. Watched quite a number of dramas at one go.

I finished newest epi of Koshonin 2 and started to watch 宫心计. Watched first few epi and it does look like the Korean drama 大长今. Shall continue to watch as the story looks quite good. I like their clothing.

Initially I intend to watch some movies that I have missed last time but seems nothing on my mind hence did not continue to search for them. Too lazy liao. Hee hee.

We did not go out for dinner and order Pizza Hut delivery instead. I kind of craving for pizzas and ordered it after getting greenlight from my mother (sometime she don't feel like eating). Yum yum. Hawaiian and BBQ chicken supreme with sweet n spicy drumlets, garlic breads and honey roasted wings. :)

Good Food

This afternoon, our lunch kakis all having other appointments and left with only 小珠 and me. We decided to go to the foodcourt that usually my colleagues do not fancy. They complained that there are no nice food there. However, both of us do not think so and shall go there since usual days we do not have chance to dine there.

As usual, this foodcourt still has plenty of seats. We decided to eat fish bee hoon noodle. Ordered 双鱼 which means both fried and fresh fish slices. It was so nice that I finished the whole bowl of soup. Will eat again next time.

Due to no good timing movies this evening, we decided to go for dinner instead. We were rather "funny" as we walked from HarbourFront Centre to VivoCity basement and walked back to HarbourFront Centre again. We were not very hungry so I suggested to try the Japanese fish mart food. However, there were not much selections left as it was getting late. Think the best time is during lunch hour. More varieties.

Then, we walked back to HarbourFront Centre trying to choose between Coffee Club and Breeks. Finally we decided on Coffee Club as they have new promotion for Stuffed Sensation Food Fiesta. We ordered Cheeky Chick and Crab Attack sets. It came with free 99% fat free smoothies. This is same as in the past. We ordered Mango Banana-rama and Ruby Fruity. Seems like the same as what we ordered previously when we were there.

The restaurant was rather empty (maybe due to seclude location) and air-con was so strong. We finished the food but could not finish the drinks. The cold was blowing on us and we quickly finished our drinks and left. I was still feeling cold when I was in the train.

Came home and just finished watching Otomen last epi. Good ending as what I had guessed. The ending was a bit "rush" and not sure whether they are keeping an open ending so that there is still chance to have SP. 拭目以待 (correct or not???) :)

Home part 2

Woke up at 10am this morning and started the day by clearing emails. Stopped and continued with my J-dramas marathon after taking my lunch.

Finally managed to finish the whole 救命病棟24時 IV. This drama is so bad... Made me cry and cry on each epi. Cried until I am having block and running nose now. Think partly because the weather is cold today too. Raining since this afternoon. Did I catch a cold or purely because I was so touched and cried too much???

Great drama and really no regret watching it. Although it made me sacrificed my tears, it is worth it. 江口洋介 and 松嶋菜々子 are still the best pair for 救命病棟24時.

Was surfing net and saw that Sony Ericsson has a new upcoming phone X10. It is running on android which seems a lot of people like this application. However, it will be available only on Q1 2010. Too bad lah. Think I will stick to Satio which I am eyeing since early 2009.

This afternoon, I took some time to decorate my Pet's house in Pet Society (Facebook game). It has been a while since I decorate it. So happy for my pet that she has a new garden. :)

Home part 1

So glad that I can wake up at 10.30am this morning. I am on leave! Envy? Ha ha.

Although I am taking leave for today and tomorrow, I am still covering some of my work. Since it is only for 2 days, I decided to do some myself so that I need not follow up when I am back in office on Friday. In any case, I am staying at home planning to just watch TV, J-dramas and surf net. No harm doing some work at home. Will keep work away from me if I am taking longer leaves.

I continued to watch 救命病棟24時 IV and found it not right when I watched the 4th epi. Only this evening then I realised I was watching the special epi instead of the actual part IV. No wonder I told 小珠 that most of them are just flash backs. I am so blur uh!

Watched the actual epi 1 and found that this series is better than the other 3. Not that the past series were no good. Just felt that this 4th series is still so good despite it is already the 4th one. Will continue to watch the rest tomorrow. Had also just finished watching Otomen and Jin latest epi.

Otomen last epi just aired this Tues. So eager to watch it asap. Believe by Friday should be able to watch it. Ai yoh, Okada Masaki is more and more handsome!

Cute

Just finished watching Samurai High School epi 3. Continued from where I stopped yesterday. Haruma and Shirota really funny and cute. So Shirota likes the main actress. No wonder he always so shy whenever she appears.

I still like the transformed Haruma. He looks so manly. A very different image as compared to his other dramas.

Will continue to watch other J dramas. Too bad Jin new epi aired on Sunday yet to be released. Believe it should be ready by tomorrow or the day after.

I am taking 2 days leave starting from tomorrow. Left 9 days which I need to clear within this year as I cannot carry forward them to next year. If not utilised, they will be confiscated. Shall take days off and most probably spending the time at home. :)

Cocktail Party

This evening, I attended a cocktail party organised by our company. This is a yearly event but for me, it was my first time attending.

Not many of our customers were there hence quite a lot of free time for us. Our team gathered together and just chit chat. Of course whenever we saw our customers, we will entertain them.

Back home at 10.45pm and is rather tired. Just finished watching Koshonin 2 epi 2. So sad that one of the young policeman, or should rather called him "the rookie negotiator", died while trying to protect a teenage.

Continued with Samurai High school epi 3 but am rather tired so I decided to stop halfway and to continue tomorrow. At least I will not feel so "lost" tomorrow for not having any J-dramas to watch. :)

One of my colleague just back from her Japan trip. So envy. How I wish I can make another trip there. Especially when Christmas is approaching and the atmostphere there will be nice.

Final Destination + Untouchable

Today, I had watched Final Destination I & II. Could not find movie III and felt a bit disappointed. Some of the scenes were real scary and disgusting. Luckily I was not eating anything while watching them.

Continued with J drama "Untouchable". Currently aired till epi 3. Will continue to watch as the stories were rather interesting. 仲間由紀恵 looks a bit similar to her past casts in dramas like Gokusen and Tricks. Still blur blur type but full of heroic acts. However, her clothing like a bit weird. Maybe that is to protrude her funny and blur character.

Feel so busy nowadays. So many dramas to chase. Ha ha...
