This afternoon, heard from my colleague who was still in office at around 1.30pm that he saw fire at Pulau Bukom (Shell refinery).When I was back in office, I forgot the whole thing about the fire and didn't look out of the window. At around 6.30pm, heard some noises from my colleagues and was shock to see dark and thick smoke coming out from one of the tank at Shell refinery. After a while, saw quite a big fire. Believe there was explosion. The fire went bigger after around 10mins. It continued to burn until at around 7.30pm, it stopped.
Luckily it didn't spread and was contained. This is the first time and hope will be the last time to happen. We had a clear view from our office.
Had lunch with customer at Cedele cafe near our office. Ate a big and healthy sandwich. Ordered the set which came with a bowl of soup. Yummy.
