Busy evening

Just back from office. Today I thought I can relax for a day but it happened that my colleague was on medical leave and I need to cover her work. Lucky for me that I managed to clear my own work before busy hour from 4.30pm. Glad that I could fixed a few deals on her behalf. "Got rice to eat" today! Hee hee.

I am rather guilty that I ate a lot today. Ordered "Ban Mian" at Food Republic during lunch and although I did not finish the noodles, I drank almost the whole bowl of soup. One of our colleague bought some tea snacks from Beard Papa and I ate the puff. So guilty so guilty... Now I am full of guilt. Still feeling so bloated... To greedy liao to eat so much.

So angry uh. I keep having problem logging into Restaurant City game in Facebook. Not sure if it is due to too many people accessing the game or is due to my pc. My monitoring shows that I usually can connect to the game only around 12 midnight. Does it mean it is due to high traffic??? So sad...

Oh yah, a total eclipse of the sun was visible within a narrow corridor that traverses half of Earth. The path of the Moon's umbral shadow begins in India and crosses through Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar and China. Amazing sight and too bad, we cannot see it in Singapore. Really envy those people that could watch this once in a lifetime amazing sight. The previous such long eclipse happened 300 over years ago and the next one will be another 100 over years later.

Finally Its Over

My sister is attending 2 days course and need to be in office before 9am. As I slept late last night, I decided not to follow her to office (we go to office together everyday). Although the course starts at 9am, she wants to be in office at around 8.30am. I don't think I can wake up half an hour earlier in order to reach office early. Therefore, I rather take my own transport. Hee hee.

Before I reached office building, I quickly made a call to our IT dept. My network id was locked yesterday and I could not sync my emails to my phone. Hence, need IT dept staff to unlock for me. As I did not want to waste time waiting, I called before I reached office so that my id will be ready for use once I on my pc.

We went for rather early lunch today. My colleague asked if we wanted to go over to Seah Im hawker centre since we did not go there for quite some time liao. The food there is nice and cheap. The only bad thing is ~~ VERY HOT!!! NO AIRCON!!! Anyway, we still proceed to the hawker centre. Chose seats at one corner so that it will be cooler. I ordered nasi lemak today. Just $3 and enough for me to last for many many hours. Yummy.

Evening was busy time for me as I had to cover work for my colleague. However, its finally over!!! My colleague coming back office tomorrow and I can relax a bit again. But, my another colleague is making a day trip to KL on Thurs and I have to cover her. Just a day break for me tomorrow. Must fully enjoy the one day break. Actually ok lah... They also cover my work when I am on leave. I just say say only... to make myself feels useful. Ha ha...

Beginning of a week

How time flies. It's Monday again. I hate Monday as it is another long week to go.

Glad that first half of the day passed smoothly. Nothing big happening and it was time for lunch. Today's lunch in big group. Total 9 of us including my boss. My colleague mentioned about Yoshinoya and asking if the food is nice. When my boss heard it, he said ok we shall go there.

Majority of us ordered their promotion set. For me, I chose the unagi set. Looks good right? As we had 9 sets, the staff offered to serve the food to us instead of us waiting at the counter and collect food ourselves. I think partly they do not want us to cause a long queue that will scare other customers away. Hee hee...

After lunch I went to Canon shop to redeem memory cards for my boss who bought 5 cameras. He told me to go to Vivo City canon shop near the GV cinema. I blur blur followed his instruction. In the end, the collection is actually at my office building first level Canon shop!

Second half of the day passed rather peacefully too. Not much emails coming in so I could do my paperwork slowly. Finished my work rather early today. Longing to have such day everyday. Cross my fingers. But... tomorrow sure cannot enjoy such relaxing mood because my colleague is on leave and I need to cover her. So now... longing for Wednesday to come so that I can try to enjoy relaxing day again. Hope my dream will come true... :)

No to coffee

Just mentioned that my stomach was ok last night and it happened!!! I had stomach upset before going to sleep at 3.30am!!! Conclusion is... still no to coffee I think.

Wake up rather early today as my niece will be coming over to our house. Don't want her to see me still sleeping like a pig when she arrives. I woke up at 11am and although it considers late for many people, for me who slept at 4am is consider very early liao.

Felt so good after the haircut yesterday. Just afraid my fringe will grow too fast and touch my eyes before my trip to Japan next month. Fringe fringe be good hor.... don't grow so fast...

I bought lollipop for my niece last week and today, she asked my father to buy lollipops for her when they went to the mama shop near my house. She chose apple flavor for me and strawberry for herself. This little girl, she still remember I like apple flavor as we were playing paper scissor stone just to decide who should take apple flavor last week.

While I am typing now, it rains. Hope it can cool down the temperature a bit. Rather hot this few days.

How I spend this Saturday

Woke up very late this morning. Just... before 12 noon. Cool man... Ha ha...

I have haircut appointment at 3pm. My sister drove me to Plaza Singapore and went shopping with my mother around Orchard area. For me, I spent 4 hrs in the salon as I need to colour and cut my hair. Sat there for so many hours until my back so pain.

There was Japanese fair at the 1st floor of PS. Happened to see the chef cutting a tuna fish. Not those very big fish but it was consider big if you compared to normal fish we usually see in the market.
My mum and sis came to join me at PS and we had our dinner at the food court. We bought Kway Chap, Fried dumpling and springroll. Yummy...

We walked to the newly opened shopping mall, Orchard Central, at opposite Centrepoint. Many shops are still renovating and we just walk around to take a look since we were near there. We went to the 11th floor and could see a different view of Orchard road.

This shopping mall design is very unique. It gives me a feeling that we are not in Singapore. As many of the shops are not open yet, it is a little bit confusing there. Perhaps I will go there again after most of the shops are open. Before heading to pick up car, we had some drinks at Coffeebean cafe. I decided to order Iceblended mocha coffee since we will be heading home straight after the drink. I tends to have stomach upset after drinking coffee but strange, I am perfectly ok till now. Recovered???

There is this interesting piece of artwork there. Very big shoe isn't it? The lady is too tall for me to capture the whole scrupture.

Sleepy zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Can I still lie on my bed for a little while more? This was what I asked myself when I woke up this morning. I was so sleepy and tired. But the answer is NO!!!

Dragged myself to wake up and bath with my eyes closed. Don't feel like opening them as they are like glued up. :P

Today while driving passed Singapore Flyer. I took another closer picture as the weather was better hence it was a clearer view.

I was rather relax this morning as there were not many emails coming in. Went to ABC market (near Ikea Alexandra) and finally got a chance to eat wantan mee. It has been a very long time since I eat this. The stall we went to is selling at a very cheap price. $2!!! We decided to order additional chicken and mushroom which costs $3. Still cheap.....

After lunch, I thought I can do my paperwork slowly but unfortunately, a lot of adhoc stuffs need to be handled hence I ended up became busy and cannot finish my work early.

Finally finished my work at around 9.10pm and I headed to have dinner with 小珠 at Long John Silver. Luckily not very crowded there and we managed to have our dinner without long wait. Today no movie as we had already watch it yesterday. Just happen that no good movie with good timing for today hence we did not watch another one.

Back home now and my zzzz bugs still pestering me. Think cannot stay too late tonight. Tomorrow I am going for my hair do at 3pm. However, I will still surf net for a while and play my facebook games before retiring. That is my usual routine. :)

TGFC

Very unusual Thursday.... There were not many emails coming in and therefore, I had more time doing my paperwork. Good for me as I did not have to rush for my work.

We had lunch with our big boss today at Xi Yan restaurant. Unlike the 12 course dinner we had few months ago, today lunch had only 6 courses. We could not finish the food previously therefore my colleague chose this simpler set today. The food was not bad and I chose my seat with this pottery cup. Each cup is unique there. There are a few paintings there and I took a photo on 2 of them.

Due to my carelessness yesterday, we had to watch "Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs" today at 9.15pm. This is the 1st time we watching 3D effect movie. Before the movie, we went to Banquet for our dinner as I suddenly craved for the fish soup noodle. Very satisfied with dinner tonight.

We were slightly late for the show but luckily did not miss the trailers. All trailers were for new shows coming up in 3D. Will definitely watch them. I highly recommending "Ice Age - Dawn of the Dinosaurs" is a must-see movie. It was full of laughter and the characters were so funny. Worth for the 10 bucks we paid each for the 3D effect. I love 3D now.

Took train and reached home at 12.20am. My parents and sister are all asleep. Poor me... alone with no one to talk to. Ha ha... just kidding. How can I be lonely when I have my pc. Ooops... lame uh! :)

Eventful day

This morning it rained again. Such a good weather to sleep but I had to wake up and go to work. So sad.... How I wish I can continue to lie on my bed and sleep.

My sister decided to drive to office direct instead of parking her car near Serangoon MRT and take train to office. Along the way, took a picture of Singapore Flyer. Bad luck today that it rained and ended up we reached office later than usual due to the heavy traffic from Marine Parade till Keppel Road. Better luck when we managed to find a parking lot at the Seah Im hawker centre carpark. Just $4 for full day parking. :)

Our company has organised subsidised movie tickets for Harry Potter. As the timing is around 8pm next friday, we decided to purchase the tickets. Most of the time, it is around 7 to 7.15pm which is too rush for me as my work can only end at around 7pm daily. Therefore, queued up for the tickets during lunch time.

Had early lunch today at the newly opened foodcourt at HarbourFront centre. Ordered laksa today. Sinful but don't care liao. Once in a while lah. It seems like only 小珠 and me can take the food there. All my other colleagues complaining that the food not nice there. Maybe we are not as choosy them on food. Many times when they said food is not nice, both of us don't think it is that bad.

We had a good laughed when one of our colleague Tulip said that her friend had bought a 8kg laptop that costs $4000 plus. Wow!!! Her friend can carry a laptop around which weighed more that 1 packet of rice!!! In the end, it was actually around 4kg (8-9 pounds). Must be she didn't pay phone bills and message got distorted and she thought it is 8kg. Ha ha...

Went to buy tickets for Friday (Ice Age 3). We rushed over to the cinema just before 10pm and managed to buy on time. As it was rather rush, I forgot if I did mention we wanted to have the 3D show. Hence walked back to ask the staff and luckily, it was that show at 9.15pm. I have the habit of reading out the date and time of the show time each time after tickets purchase. Oh my god! We bought the wrong tickets for Thursday!!! Luckily we have nothing on tomorrow night and can still watch the movie. Otherwise... don't know how to settle the tickets. I was so blurred because I was the one talking to the staff. So Sotong today.

After purchasing the tickets, dropped by Bakezin and bought 2 pieces of chocolate amer cake. Intention was to buy the whole cake which is having 50% discount this month but sold out as it was rather late. Therefore buy 2 pieces and still enjoyed the 50% discount. Very worth it.

My laptop just went for migration and now I cannot get into facebook so often in office. Don't play play uh. They can be tracked by our IT people. Brought home my laptop to ensure it can work before weekends. However, got stuck and cannot turn proxy off (in order to connect to emails at home). Luckily, my IT colleague was online while I surfing net using home pc and managed to get some help. In the end, it was because I yet to connect to wireless!!! Pai Sei uh......

Full of unusual events today right?

Yawn...

Yawn..... so tired today. Slept at 4am and woke up late at almost 12noon.

Surf net after taking brunch and was so impatient because I could not logged in to Facebook games due to website doing maintenance.

Went to Raffles City for dinner with my parents and sister. Guess what??? We went to eat Sushi Tei again. But today, a bit disappointed as the sashimi was not really nice today. Maybe the fishes caught were not that good.

Bought donuts from J.CO. Yum yum... so nice. Still full now so cannot eat them. Whenever I saw donuts, I will think of the donuts from Mister Donut in Japan. Will definitely eat them again next month when I am in Tokyo.

When we were out of the carpark, realised it was raining so heavily outside. Wow... luckily we did not dine at East Coast Park. Otherwise, we will be wet. Strange that it rained today. However, I welcome rain as it will cool down the temperature.

But.... my poor sister. She just washed her car this morning and now it rained.

Friday Movie Time again

Friday again. My favourite day of the week. I can finally watch movie again. Stopped for 2 weeks due to something on.

Bought tickets for 20th Century Boys II at 9.30pm. Before the show, we went to have our dinner at Pizza Hut. It has been a long time I did not dine in this restaurant. Usually is call for delivery only. There is 5 course set dinner only available during weekdays that cost $12.90++ per pax. Very cheap and food is nice too. We ordered one pizza and one pasta as main course. Shared the food as usual and I was so satisfied.

Though I saw one negative review for this movie in GV website, I find this movie is not bad. It may be a bit confusing but it made you feel excited to know who is the "Friend". After it ends, I feel so much like watching part III in order to know the real "Friend". I am guessing the person but have to wait till Aug 26 when it starts screening in Singapore.

Was a bit tired but I cannot resist logging to Facebook. Shall play for a little while more and sleep. :)

Guess what ????

I have done a rather weird move to book flight to Tokyo next month. Again Japan???? Many will ask...

My colleagues and I were talking about going for a short trip together some time this year. Just mentioned we will try to look for suitable place yesterday and this afternoon, we had decided and booked flight to Tokyo.

This will be a short trip for us as we cannot take too long leaves (can't disappear from office together for many days). We are flying off on 7 Aug late night and flying back on 11 Aug am. Taking A380 again. :)

As usual, 小珠 is of course going with me as she is now my travel kaki. The other one is tulip whom we never really go for holiday together except company trips. She is so excited that finally she can go Tokyo with us. I am looking forward for this trip as with tulip around, sure fun (she can entertain us. haha).

We booked a triple sharing room at Hotel Metropolitan Ikebukuro. Location is good as it is just few minutes walk from JR station. We can take Narita Express train from airport to Ikebukuro station. Very convenient.

Disneyland will be one of the must-go place. The rest of the 2 days will be shopping, eating and laze around. Ha ha...

No time No time

Ai Yoh.... why always no time to finish what I want to do. ???

Big ??? skips coming up. Already plan to do this or that but still cannot accomplish. Sad uh.

Something not right but don't know where goes wrong. Anyway, shall try to finish whatever I can tomorrow.

This afternoon, we went to Henderson market for our lunch. One of my favourite wantan mee stall finally opens today but... in the end, I did not choose this stall. I ordered the mixed veg/meat rice instead. Was craving for it from the last time I was there. This stall is selling nice dishes and the price is super the cheap uh! Ate too much today. Extra side dishes of char kuay and chicken wing all ended up in our stomach. Sinful sinful.

My colleague is so obsessed with the Korean drama The Cityhall that she kept talking about the actor. My the other colleague cannot stand her and keep talking about Boys over Flowers. She said the actors are more handsome. For me.... I still like my 4 Jap idols.

Was busy last night doing some decoration for my pet's house (Facebook Pet Society game). Though a bit messy but still look ok lah. :)

Shall now continue to watch Jap drama Liar Game.

Busy Week

This week has been a busy one for me. Was busy doing my monthend closing plus need to attend my great grandmother's wake. Took a day off on Friday as we need to attend the ritual during evening time.

My younger sister also took a day off. Therefore, we went to Tampines 1 for lunch. We decided to try the newly open Manpuku Japanese Gourmet Town. Since it was a weekday, there wasn't any queue hence was a good time to try the food.

Walked around the few stores and we settled our choices. My parents ordered seafood udon and big prawn udon sets. My brother orderd Tori set. My sister and myself ordered Hokkaido ramen. followed by sashimi. I could not resist the Ootoro and made a big big decision to order it. 5 pcs costs $38. My sister asked me to pay for my own bill. After taking it, my dad and I still think that the ones we ate at Sushi Tei still taste better.

We went over to Tampines Mall for the Hokkaido fair. Wow... is it Friday??? The mall was full of people. Did I remember the wrong day? The fair is always sucessful. Singaporean really like Hokkaido food. I am one of them. I queued up to buy the BBQ scallops and squid. Buy 2 get 1 free leh. I did not eat it until night time but it still taste good. There is also the famous Hakodate squid stuffed with rice. But I know we cannot finish it if I buy, so just give up.

After shopping for a while, we ended up at Haagen Dazs. We ordered ice-cream for each of us and enjoyed the afternoon. I told my sister that I enjoyed such a tea time enjoying ice-cream. Will plan for more next time. My mum not working so I can ask her along whenever I need a break. She is more than happy to accompany me. Ha ha.

Yesterday was a hot day. We gathered at the wake before 10am. The ritual started at around 10.30am that ends around 12noon with some breaks in between. At 1pm, we left for Mandai Crematorium. I didn't really cried when my great grandmother was pushed to the burner. It might be because we were not very close or it could be due to she had moved on to another happier and everlasting paradise after enjoying 99 years in this world, that I did not feel sad but happy for her. She had left so many descendants (5 generation) accompanying her till her last day.

With her departure, I think we will not have much chance to see those relatives. I was trying to remember who are my aunties/uncles/cousins during that period. Perhaps a while later, all forget again. We hardly has chance to meet again.

Wow... such a long one today. No choice lah, did not post blog for so many days and one shot now. :)
