Shock!!!

Today I had a big shock when I realised that our new contract girl was totally confused by what 雪人had taught her during the handover. It seemed that the teaching was not really thorough and caused her to do her work wrongly. Luckily I noticed the error while asking if she had any problem with the work. Otherwise, it will be a bigger disaster for all of us.

It could be 雪人 knew how to do her daily work but not good in teaching. Hence things taught by her will be incomplete. The handover was also very tight and left with not much time to be learned by the new girl. Now I have to go through her work so that mistakes can be minimised. I may not be able to catch all mistakes but at least try to avoid those that are prominent.

Hope she can absorb fast so that I can pass back those paperwork I am doing for her now. Feeling very stress now as I can't handle all things at same time. :(

Birthday Lunch

This afternoon, 小珠 and Tulip gave me a treat to celebrate my birthday. We went to White Dog cafe as I was craving for the food there. Quite some time did not dine there. The restaurant was not very crowded when we arrived. Ordered a plate of platter (mixed items), a pasta and chicken with mango for sharing.

We chit chat while eating and it was quite fun. I was very satisfied with the food. Will definitely go there again.

Today is my younger sister's birthday. Bought a cake for her from Swiss Bake. No wonder it is their signature cake. It is very nice. I like the biscuit layer and the combination of sponge cake, biscuit layer and mousse layer makes it perfect. Luckily I made the right choice to choose this one. :)

The only sad thing is that Untouchable and Koshonin 2 still yet to release with the new episodes. I am so eager to know ending for Untouchable. Would like to know who is the mysterious man. Why so slow...

Happy Birthday

Today is my Birthday. Older by one more year now. Dare not count how old I am and sometimes, I have to use current year minus my birth year in order to "remember" it. Ha ha...

My sister bought a cake for me. Chocolate cake from Prima Deli. Every year, we buy cake for each other. Tomorrow will be my turn to buy for her. Her birthday is tomorrow. Our dates are one day after another. She bought a wooden comb for me. It is to reduce statics and hope this can have some effect on my head to "grow more hair". Hee hee...

My headache did not subside this morning when I woke up but I still have to go for our customer's event. Reached there at 10.45am and we left by 12noon. They were heading for lunch but a few of us did not go as we preferred to go back. This is considered my first time attending customer's office launching and although we were told to attend by our boss, did feel honor to be invited.

When I reached home, I was feeling rather tired and head still spinning. Took my lunch and watched TV (Japan hour). Was so excited to see introduction of new places in Japan with good lodging and food. My mind drifting away, daydreaming to go Japan again...

Felt sleepy and decided to take a nap while waiting for my sister to be back from church. Rested for 2 hours and we headed for dinner. Discussing where to go and finally decided to dine at 和民 located at The Central.

We reached there and were welcome by courteous waiters and waitresses. My parents and sister were so shocked on the warm welcome. Thought that were we too early that a group of them greeting us but in fact, the restaurant had many customers sitting inside. I think they are going for good service and we are very satisfied on their service.

Most of the food I had eaten before therefore just took a photo of the sashimi and dessert we ordered. Maybe we were too pampered by Sushi Tei's sashimi that we still think they served best sashimi so far. Not that 和民 ones were no good. Just that we still like the Sushi Tei thick thick ones. We ordered all the 4 flavours ice-cream (Black sesame, Chocolate, Mango and Green tea) plus the fruits wrapped in mochi for dessert. They were good. Can try again next time.

We walked around the shopping mall for a while and headed home after finding it quite boring there. Not much thing to see. No harm going back early to rest. :)

This is how I spent my day. Not really exciting and a bit affected by my headache. However, still a nice day for me.

Headache again

Bad feeling since morning. My headache came back again and I was feeling so uncomfortable from the time I woke up. Head feeling so heavy and neck feels like going to break. Took paracetamol and hope it could kill the pain and let me feel better but till now, it is still the same.

I was lying on sofa the whole day and simply did not want to move around. My parents asked me to go out for dinner at nearby foodcourt and I rejected. They said why I so lazy but my reason was I could not convince myself to move from the sofa...

My whole day was gone due this headache and my plan to go for Christmas shopping was called off. Will take some more paracetamol before going to sleep and hope the pain will be gone tomorrow when I wake up.

Cannot sleep too late today as I need to wake up early tomorrow to attend one of our customer's launching of their new office. We are wondering why they choose Sunday but I guess it is due to auspicious day and time.

It's Friday! Yippy!

Yippy! It's Friday! The day I am looking forward to since Monday. Today is also 雪人's last day with us. We had another "farewell lunch" with her at Thai Accent. The restaurant was rather empty with only a few customers. However, the restaurant became so noisy after we were there. We did enjoy the lunch with jokes and laughter as usual.

I ordered a drink named Green Apple Freeze. From the name, I thought it will be ice-blended green apple juice or something similar. However was curious when the waiter said that it was not ice-blended drink. In any case, to avoid confusion by the waiter, I proceeded with my order of this drink. Surprisingly, it was very nice. It had plum in it with green apple flavor. My colleague wanted to order same drink but was told mine was the last glass. So lucky for me.

I was rather busy today as my colleague was on leave and I had to take over some of 雪人's duty. Need to teach the new girl slowly to avoid confusion to her. Will be unfair for her to learn everything in such short time. Foresee that I will be super busy for at least another 2 weeks.

We left office at 8.30pm and rushed to buy McNuggets for our dinner. No choice but to sneak the food into the cinema. The movie started at 8.40pm and we could not eat after the movie ended as it will be very late.

The movie "Twilight Saga: New Moon" was not bad. Just that there were little scenes by Edward. Mostly showing Jacob and Bella. Will wait for the next two movies that will be shown in next 2 years.

My birthday is this Sunday. 小珠 bought a gift for me and it is a haversack. I am trying to look for one that is similar to the one 小珠 bought in USA. Cannot find a suitable one so far. However, this one suits me. It is not too big, with green colour and it will not get "out of shape" easily. Thanks to 小珠. I like it and will use it for our next trip. Hope that I can use it soon. :)

Christmas is coming

Everywhere is decorated with Christmas trees, lighting etc... Many people start to shop for gifts. It left with just 3 weeks and will be the day for all to celebrate. How I wish I am in Tokyo now. Saw few pictures of Tokyo streets and they are so beautiful. Too bad that I still cannot fulfil my wish to celebrate Christmas in Japan. One day I will definitely make myself there to enjoy the cold Christmas.

Even coke is celebrating this festive season with nice can. Felt thirsty and decided to drink coke during evening time. Saw the design on the can and find it nice. Took a photo of it. It's nice. Isn't it? :)
We went to buy tickets for tomorrow's movie. So sad that we cannot watch Gokusen movie as it lefts with only the morning session. No choice but to proceed with Twilight Saga : New Moon. This is one of the movie we are waiting for. We are watching the 8.40pm show. This is a good timing as we need not rush to the cinema, can eat dinner before the show and no need to catch the last train...

Farewell Lunch

Today we had our farewell lunch for our contract staff. Her last day is this Friday. We went to Lengkok Bahru 自然海鲜 restaurant. Few of our colleagues said that the food standard dropped. I agreed but still find it ok. Just that the 杨枝甘露 tastes funny and not nice. I usually will finish whatever food I ordered but this time round, I just eat the ingredients (mango, pomelo) and left the drinks.

The funny part was after we finished our lunch, my colleague received sms from our boss who is now on biz trip to Australia. He asked us to arrange farewell lunch and gift on this Friday. Oh dear!!! We proceeded with the farewell lunch without him, thinking he cannot join us. After some discussion, we decided to have the farewell lunch again on this Friday and changed the lunch today to "welcome lunch" for our new contract staff. Sound strange but no choice lah...

Back to work

So sad... Today back to work. This month will be a busy month for me. Partly due to most of the days will be busy covering my colleagues work as they will be on leave. Our contract staff leaving this Friday and will need to guide the new replacement until she can handle on her own.

Well the only good thing that motivates me is : Christmas is approaching. I like this festive season as it actually telling me : Bonus is coming! Ha ha ha... However, I hate beginning of the new year as seems it is another long way to go before the next Christmas. Right now, I will start to think what should I buy for myself this year. Need to reward myself after going through this whole 2009.

Today, many of my colleagues were "busy cooking". All worried that the dishes will be spoiled hence taking good timing on when the dishes will be ready to be served for Cafe World. Quite enjoyable when few of us talking about this topic after work.

However, I experienced bad connection when I reached home. It kept disconnecting and reconnecting for Cafe World. In the end, I had no choice but to save every few seconds in order not to let it kicks me out again.

Tomorrow my sister back to work so... I have transport to office. No need to take bus and MRT. So good...

End of my break

So fast that tomorrow I have to go back to work. It has been a long break for me even though I still need to handle my work on Thur and today. The enjoyment was to wake up late and do things slowly. Ha ha.

I finished watching last episode of 宫心计. Ending was quite good but seems like the pace was a little bit too fast as compared to the first 30 episodes. The last 3 episodes stories were all packed together. However they joined up well so overall not too bad lah.

Currently I am watching this J-drama "Kami no Shizuku 神の雫". Was scrolling on the titles of J-dramas and happened to see this familiar drama name. The main cast is 亀梨和也. Story was all about wine. After watching episode one, looks like not bad so shall continue to watch.

My sister is taking her flight back to Singapore and will arrive Singapore at around 2.15am. By the time she reached home should be around 3am. Hope I will be sleeping like a pig when she is back. Otherwise, I will be disturbed by her as she will definitely need to switch on the lights.

Well well. Shall continue with my J dramas. Shall enjoy the last 1 hour before "tomorrow". :P

Oh my god! A Crack!!!

My house was very happening today. My sister's family came together with my brother-in-law god sister and her 2 kids. With 3 kids around, it was extremely noisy and busy for all of us. I was actually busy working on transferring songs to one of their ipod nano and helping my brother-in-law god sister to install PPS into her laptop.

After one busy afternoon, they went home at around 8pm. My niece is going to stay with the 2 kids for a week. It was after they left that I found a big big big problem on my DS.

Oh my god! I saw a crack!!! Don't know who caused it as my DS was passed around and the kids may have accidentally broke it. So sad... I usually take good care of my this baby and did not expect that it will be cracked. Now I cannot trade in liao. Too bad lor.



I have finished watching 宫心计 episode 31. It is becoming more exciting now. The last 2 episodes were out but cannot watch now as it is for members view first. Think earliest have to wait till tomorrow or the day after. Quick quick lei, I cannot wait liao. I hate 姚金鈴. She was so evil. However, it was due to this type of character in the drama that made us wanted to continue watching it. 楊怡 acting was indeed good.

Good part was I managed to watch Final Destination 3. Earlier on, I was still wondering why I couldn't find it when I finished 1 & 2. Though the story was similar to the other series, I just feel like watching it. :)

Orchard Road

As planned, I went to Orchard Road this afternoon with my mum. Need to buy my skincare as it is running low. Walked over to Takashimaya and hope I could find some Christmas presents there. However, rather disappointed that there wasn't any special ones which I could buy.

Shopped around for a while and found rather boring. We went to the supermarket to see if there was anything else to buy but strange... today nothing to buy. We moved on to Ion Orchard after buying my favourite donuts (Pop Doh). Not to shop at Ion Orchard but to bring my mum to 和民 restaurant.

As my mum had already cooked yam rice for dinner, I decided to order one bowl of ramen, Ika Yaki and Gyoza to share. Tried the ramen and still find the ones at Tokyo still the best. One stall at Shinjuku and another at Omotesan hill. The Ika Yaki was as nice as the 1st time I ate with 小珠. The gyoza good too. We ordered crepes with Azuki and green tea ice-cream as dessert. Very big portion at $3.80 only. Overall, we enjoyed the "light" meal. Oops... forgot to take a photo of the ramen.

Took Mrt home and my dad was already at home. In fact, he came home early and maybe thought of going out for dinner with us. Too bad lah. He didn't tell us early. Otherwise my mum will not cook and we will dine out. Reason my mum cooked was because, she did not know I intended to go Orchard Road and she prepared the food in the morning. She didn't mind just go out for a walk. She is always staying indoor while we work and would like to go out whenever there is a chance. :)

So fast... it's already Saturday night. Left 2 more days (Sunday and Monday) for me to relax.

Public Holiday ~ Stay indoor

Today is holiday and I woke up late as usual. Supposed to wake up at 10am but in the end, woke up at 11.30am.

I went out for lunch with my parents and brother. Ordered 粿汁 as it had been so long I never eat liao. After that, we ordered dessert as we could not tahan the hot weather. The food court has aircon but the weather was too hot and hot air "overwrite" the cool air. My brother was perspiring after drinking the soup he ordered.

We went home straight after lunch. Bought some ice-cream so that I can eat them during weekend. Fattening uh...

Our relatives visited us this evening. My cousin is getting married in January and her mum brought over the invitation card. The card was DIY by the couple and it took a long time for them to complete one card. They have hundred over cards to prepare. Her mum asked her to use the invitation card provided by the restaurant they are holding the wedding dinner but she said no. They want to do it themselves. The card is very unusual indeed. :)

Continued to watch 宫心计 and managed to watch Renyi finally. Both dramas story is so nice and I can't wait for the next epi. Spent quite some time today to do "cooking". Not real one but virtual... It's the current popular facebook game "Cafe World". I am trying to cook more dishes so that I can get more points to level up.

Tomorrow I plan to go to Orchard Road. Need to replenish my skincare products. One of the bottle is finishing soon and I cannot do without it. It is to moisture my face skin. Recently my face skin seems rather dry. Must take good care liao.

On Leave = Work???

Urhhhhh, today I woke up and sat in front of my office laptop from 10.30am till 6pm. Break at 1pm for lunch with just 30mins. This was the first time I was glued to the chair and work non stop on my day off. Strange that there were so many emails to clear and mostly needed me to work on them. No choice lah but to work...

Went to White Sands shopping mall with my mum at 6.15pm. She went there to buy newspaper and I went there to buy some daily necessities. Can't resist and bought a few bars of chocolates. I can eat them over the next few days while watching TV or surfing net.

Managed to watch Samurai High School last Saturday episode. Finally it was out. Renyi still not out yet but again surprised me with Liar Game 2 was out. This episode just aired on Tuesday and was released today. Good good... I can continue to watch later.

Tomorrow is public holiday and I can wake up late late again. Hee hee...

No new epi

Strange that it is already Wednesday but Samurai High School and Renyi new episodes are still not out yet. They were aired in Japan last weekend and usually by this time, should be able to watch it. Quite surprised that Tokyo Dogs new epi aired on Monday was already out. Since the other 2 yet to be released, I proceed to watch Tokyo Dogs first.

I quite like Oguri Shun in this drama. He looks manly and unlike previous dramas characters where he was so snobbish or too cool until not much talking. Not to forget, I like my no 2 idol too. Hiro Mizushima has beard but still not too bad lah. Their team up creates funny scenes and make me eager to know the next epi story.

Not much thing happened today in office. Usual work day and we had fun time during lunch time. 雪人 created funny jokes again. Too bad 小珠 was not there. She missed the jokes as she had working lunch with her team. She told me that she was falling asleep in the mid of the meeting and so eager to look forward towards the end of it. Ha ha...

Tomorrow I will be taking leave. Long weekend for me as I am taking another day off on Monday. Looking forward to it. Too bad I have no plan to go anywhere. Just staying at home to surf net, play games and watch dramas. Most importantly, I can wake up late late. :P

A Christmas Carol

Second day of the week. Happy that it will be a short week for me. Friday is public holiday and I am taking leave on Thursday. Therefore it is just a three days workday for me this week. Will be enjoying a long break because I am taking another day off on coming Monday. Five days off altogether. Will somehow be still handling some of my work during my days off but at least I am enjoying the day at home. Sooooo gooood... Looking forward for it.

Just came home after watching "A Christmas Carol". Today's event was organised by our company recreation club. Since we wanted to watch this movie and it was subsidized, we decided to watch it since timing was good at 7.30pm. We did not watch the 3D version but still find it nice. Initially, I did not know much of the storyline but my colleagues were talking about it today and I managed to get some idea. So it was about ghosts of the past, present and future. Some of the parts purposely made the sound effect so loud that it frightened us. Very "ghostly" in majority of the show and joyous towards the ending. Believe the 3D will be good but just that no subtitle will pose problem for me. I did not really can catch what they were talking about if I did not see the chinese subtitle. Ha ha...

After the movie, I suggested to have dinner at LJS. Again??? Don't know why that I was craving for it. I ordered the spicy chicken pranks set but when I ate it, I found no difference to the usual chicken pranks. We were wondering if the staff made a mistake and served us the normal ones.

Super busy Monday

Usually Monday is a day where I do not really be very busy. However, today is exceptional busy.

Our new contract girl reported for work today. I had to give her an orientation and showed her around the office and introduced her to our colleagues. I took about an hour and by the time I finished, I had to get my laptop ready for migration. My laptop was scheduled to change to a new one today. With this, I could not start my work.

Luckily the migration went through smoothly and took just around 1 hour. I had to configure the setting which I am used to it so that I can work properly. By the time I finished, it was already lunch time. We went for rather late lunch and I managed to really start work from 2.3opm onwards.

Tried to rush as fast as possible but today there was quite a lot of paperwork to do since I was covering my colleague who is on leave. Managed to leave office at around 9pm with 小珠. So sorry that every time, she has to wait for me.

Tomorrow I have to leave office early as we are going to watch movie "A Christmas Carol" at 7.30pm. Yippy! It's movie time again.

Lazy day

Today, I thought my niece will come to our house as usual hence woke at at 11am. After washing up, watched TV till 2pm. Strange that my niece still did not appear. Initially I thought maybe they went other place before coming over but when it was 3pm, I knew they must be not coming. Sms my sister and she replied only at around 4pm that they were not coming as went to watch movie. Ai yah... shd tell me early mah! Then I can sleep longer. Ha ha...

Went to my sister's car to start the engine. She will be in Lijiang for 2 weeks and no one's driving her car during this period. In order to prevent her car's engine too "cold", she asked me to help her to start her car engine twice a week. Although don't really think her car will have any problem but preventive is better than cure. To make her mind ease, I will do it for her.

I learned from her how to start and off engine before her trip. I never bother to learn last time but finally a chance for me to learn it. It is easy but for me who is one who dare not anyhow touch car parts, a good one for me to learn. I still remember many years ago, my boss asked me to off his car engine and I ended up cracking my head with my another colleague who did not know how to do it. So pai sei...

Watched Koshonin and Untouchable new epi. As other dramas new epi yet to be released for Samurai High School and 宫心计, I searched for some Japanese movies and watched 2 of the horror ones. Not very scrary actually but stories not too bad lah. I also managed to finish watching Yamapi's Operations Love. Good ending indeed and I liked his image in this drama.

These were how I spent the day. My father complained that I was so lazy lying on the sofa since afternoon!

Raining Day. Yummy dinner.

Today I stayed indoor. No where to go so decided to stay at home and watch TV/dramas. My niece came to our house for a while as they went to Changi airport this morning to send my brother in law mother and auntie off to Vietnam. They left at 12.30pm and our house became quiet again.

My mum cooked fried rice for dinner. I was so happy because I liked to eat fried rice cooked by her. A lot of ingredients and taste nice. However, she cannot cook so often because I will tend to eat a lot of rice as I cannot resist the temptation.
My dad came home with kuih bahulu which we like. It has been quite some time since I went to Simei and so glad to be able to eat this again. He was working nearby this afternoon and went to buy 2 boxes as he remembered we bought there before. My niece will be very happy as she likes too. :P

Unlucky indeed

This morning, I following my dad so that he could drive me to Kovan MRT station. Happily reached his lorry, put on seatbelt and waiting for him to start the car as I need aircon. However, he could not start his car!!! Battery Flat!!! Not again!!! He told me that his car was having difficulties in startup since yesterday afternoon. Didn't know that it really happened and I was so unlucky that it happened when I was taking his ride. My dad said I was really bad luck that no chance to take his rides.

Finally it's Friday and I was looking forward to this day. I can finally take a rest after the hectic week. Not watching movie today as we could not find one that will be around 8 plus. Therefore, we decided to have dinner only instead.

Initially thought we could leave office around 7 plus or the most latest by 8pm. However, due to some issue to settle, ended up finished work only at 9.10pm. I suggested to go for fish soup at HarbourFront foodcourt. Luckily the store yet to close and we managed to get our food. The uncle forgot to ask us if we wanted to add milk to the soup and we also forgot to mention. Hence, this is the first time we tried the fish soup noodle without milk. Surprisingly we found it was good. Do not understand why my other colleagues said it was not nice. 小珠 said don't know it is they have problem or we two have problem. Ha ha ha.

Back home with full stomach and cannot sleep early. Too tired too hence not going to watch any drama. Will just play my facebook games for a while.

Am I so unlucky???

This morning, my father was able to send me to Kovan MRT station before going to work. I was so happy because I need not take bus and will also cut down some time. However, we were caught in a traffic jam in midway. Was wondering what had caused the jam because that road is rather secluded and usually not much traffic. Guessing it could be due to car breakdown or accident. After moving slowly for almost 15mins, the traffic suddently cleared. Looks like the jam was not caused by any car accident or breakdown. Strange strange strange. My father said I was so unlucky. First time taking his ride after so long and yet got this "funny jam".

Count down... left 2 days and its FRIDAY!!!
