Movie 2 on Friday

Just back home after watching movie " How To Train Your Dragon". We were so satisfied with this movie. The 3D effect was a bit different from other movies. Not very much on special effect but it was somehow kind of "very near" effect. It was as if we were in the movie. Do not know how to describe it but I liked it.

The movie was great. From beginning to end, it was exciting. Cute, scary, touching scenes... No regret buying $14 ticket to watch this one. I like Toothless. It was so cute. Other dragons were cute too.

To me, the morale of the story is : An enemy may not be a real enemy. It could be an enemy created by yourself. Understand your enemy and he/she can become your friend. Lame uh! Ha ha...

Movie 1

小珠 and I left office at 12noon to watch Japanese movie "Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva". It was a 2 hour show and we enjoyed it. Perhaps it was weird timing (not many people watching movie during lunch time) and story was based on NDS game, the theater only had 5 people watching including 2 of us. Real exclusive. Ha ha...

After the movie, we still have very deep impression on the song played. It was already 2pm and we went to have Laksa at EAT eatery. Fast and nice food.

Perhaps I had a relaxing mind after watching movie, my mood was still good no doubt evening was very busy. Shall continue with 2nd movie for today at 9.10pm. Now I shall clear my paperwork so that I can keep work away while watching movie. :)

Best Teppanyaki

Today I had a last minute lunch appointment with one of our customer. They are from Hong Kong and as I am handling Hong Kong deals now, I had no excuse to avoid this lunch.

My colleague recommended Takumi Tokyo Restaurant located at 2 Keppel Bay Vista, Marina at Keppel Bay. This is the first time I went to this place and I find the view is good and is very "high class".

We ordered the set meal and they were all very well prepared and really worth the money. Perhaps the restaurant was not crowded hence we were well attended by the waiter and waitress.

As usual, I liked to take photos of the food and this time round, I had to do it secretly. So pai sei if our customer see what I was doing. Hee hee...

All the dishes were from the set meal except the chawanmushi. Yummy!

Movies Craze is here

Finally I had "normal" lunch today. Past two days had lunch at restaurants and today had it at Food Junction. I went to collect my member card for Food Junction so that we can enjoy 10% discount for the food we ordered. The fee is just $2 for one year membership. Worth it since we tend to eat at this foodcourt more frequent now as we like one of the stall.

Today I ate the 杂菜饭 again and enjoyed the dishes. We like this stall as the food are so homely taste. I always have problem choosing the dishes as there are so many which I like.

This evening before we took train home, 小珠 and I went to GV to purchase movie tickets. Not for one but three movies. As there are a few which we like and don' want to miss plus some of them timing is just not too good, we decided to watch one on this Friday during lunch time (12 noon) and one during night time at 9.10pm. The third one will be next Monday at 7 plus. A bit crazy to watch so many at one go but with no choice. If we miss this week, the next week timing will be even bad or movie can also be not screening anymore.

Takeru's birthday is approaching and so fast he will turn 21 this year. I still remember last year he was still celebrating his 20 years old birthday. In Japan, when they turn 20, they are treated as becoming an adult. Oh my god... 20 years old seems so long time ago event for me.

Have just saw that "Bloody Monday 2" new episode is out. Will continue to watch it tonight. Bad bad... I will sleep a bit late tonight as "Code Blue 2" new episode is out too!!!

No new episode of Bloody Monday 2

Ai yoh... It's already Tues and the newest episode of "Bloody Monday 2" still yet to be released. So eager to watch the next episode lah. No choice but to wait lor.

Initially I thought of decorating my pet's house in Facebook Pet Society game but now I decided to watch one of the J drama that 上野樹里 is acting. The title is 上野樹里与五个包包. Shall watch the first episode to see if it is nice. Each episode is only 25mins.

I had a very full lunch today at Akashi Jap restaurant with our customers. Ate the sashimi and enjoyed it very much. Theirs were so fresh. Yummy yummy. No photos taken as so pai sei as this time round was with customers. Next time lah.

Bee Zzz Day

Wow today is extremely busy for me. I had lunch appointment and was back in office only at 3pm. Rushed to do my work and evening was a real haywire time for me. I was trying to cope with my own work plus my colleague's who was on MC.

I actually done a wrong quoting of price but luckily managed to solve it. Otherwise I will be actually doing a non profitable deal. :P

Due to the coverage, I could not leave office early at 7.30pm. Managed to leave only at 9.30pm with 小珠. She waited for me to go home together. Will try to go home earlier tomorrow. I want to have more time to do my stuff at home.

We are doing our first photobook for our trips. I managed to finish mine on last Saturday and sent the file over to the shop for printing. However, I found a mistake yesterday while browsing through and quickly dropped an email to the shop on whether they can amend for me. Just received email that they cannot make amendment and I have to re-submit. Shall do so now. Why I so blurred. But glad that I went in to take a look again and spotted the error. Although it was a small one but still prefers to make my first photobook with minimum error. :)

Naruto

Today I continued to watch Naruto Shippuden which I have not been watching up to current episodes. There are another 20 over episodes to catch up. Although I know I will not be able to finish them today, I will start to clear bit by bit till current aired episode.

Did not go out today and my niece did not come to our house too. She will be taking her swimming exam soon hence her tuition lessons are changed to Sunday. Therefore, we will not see her for a couple of weeks. My sister said that she will try to bring her here next week since it is holiday and no tuition.

I was so upset that new movie "Kaiji" was not screened in any of GV cinemas. Poster was put up at VivoCity cinema months ago but was taken down some time ago and confirmed the movie will not be screening here. Only can be seen in Cathay cinemas. This is not the 1st time such thing happened. We encountered similar case for one of the Japanese movie few months back too. If GV not screening, why put up in the 1st place???

Tomorrow is Monday and will have to start the new week again with work, appointments etc. Will be having lunch appointments with customers on Mon and Tue. Follows with 2 meetings on Wed. Ai yah... looking forward to next Friday evening uh...

Nodame & Chiaki & Gyabo

I spent a very wonderful time watching movie "Nodame Cantabile Pt 1" last night. The story continued from their studying abroad in Paris. Perhaps we had watched the drama and SP, the story continued smoothly for us as we understood all the every little funny actions Nodame and Chiaki had. Especially Nodame's Gyabo.

There were few scenes where we laughed non stop and I really had tears coming out from my eyes. One of the part was where Nodame cooking curry rice for her friends. Germs, die, diarrhea etc wordings coming out from the pot of curry. Another was the funny sounds coming from the musicians when Chiaki first conducted the concert when he newly joined the Le Marlet Orchestra. I could not control my laughters and kept giggling quietly even it was already the next scene.

One more was when Nodame late for attending Chiaki's important concert that will decide fate of the orchestra. She woke up looking at the alarm clock that showed 3pm. She was mumbling to herself why it was 3 o'clock a while ago before she slept and why it was still 3pm. Only after some daze, she realised she was late as the alarm clock was spoilt. She quickly woke up and rushed to the concert. She even sms Chiaki to hold back the concert as she was late. What a joker she was. When she reached the theatre, her teacher was glad that she made it on time and told her that she could remove her coat. Her answer was she could not remove as she was only wearing undergarments. She only had time to bath and no time to wear clothes inside. LOL...

The movie was 2 hours but I enjoyed from the start till the end. The musics they played were so nice. I liked the 2nd music played by Chiaki at the concert where he was the conductor plus pianist. Will try to find out the title. The movie ended a bit sad with Chiaki leaving Nodame as he meant it good her to progress further. Looking forward to the 2nd part of the movie which will be released in Spring at Japan. Hope it will be released near to same time as Japan in Singapore.

We were rushing to leave the theatre as we need to catch the last train. Therefore we missed some part after the credits. Hope we did not miss any fun parts.

Managed to catch last train last night hence need not pay extra for cab fare.

Before the movie, we had dinner at Coffe Club last night. We ordered pastas and Muddy mud pie for dessert as we still had time before the movie start. Had a relaxing evening and enjoyable night yesterday.

zzz bugs still buzzling

This morning, I woke up with tiredness as usual. The zzz bugs still did not go away and haunted me for the whole morning and got away only during evening time when I was busy with my work.

I was so excited for evening to come as I wanted to know how the story continues for Nodame Cantabile movie pt 1. I read reviews from GV members and although there were only 2 posts when I viewed it, both were with good remarks.

Quickly finished work so that can go for dinner before movie starts at 9.20pm. Counting down...

I am so tired

Today I yet to recover from the loss of few hours sleep yesterday. I was so tired and kept yawning since morning. Think have to take a day or two to recover fully.

I was playing my nds on my way home and due to there was a stage to complete, I continued the game after I reached home. If I stopped halfway, I need to restart the stage again which will take some time. Some of the parts were tricky hence use the website walkthrough manual to complete the stage. Was like cheating but no choice lah. Hee hee...

Will try to watch episode 7 of "Bloody Monday 2" shortly. Think I still can tahan a while. So keen to know if "J" will die or not. Hope not as I still wish to see him in the show. :P

Tomorrow is Friday again and we have bought tickets for "Nodame Cantabile : The movie part 1". Got good seats and I have confidence that it will be nice. However, we have a big challenge to try to catch the last train tomorrow. Our movie starts at 9.20pm and will last for 2 hours. With commercials + trailers, will be around 11.40pm when it ends. We have to catch last train towards Joo Koon at 11.58pm and Pasir Ris at 12.03am hence need to take the train that departs HarbourFront MRT by around 11.40 - 11.45pm. Hope we can make it so as not to waste $$$ on cab fare.

It's a panda!!!

Oh oh oh... Today I looked like a panda! I was so tired with sleepy eyes.

I was wakened up by phone call at 5.30am this am due to some urgent issue. Managed to settle it only at 7am. By that time, I could not sleep any longer as need to prepare to go to work. Thought of taking more sleep and go office later but could not do so as I had a meeting at 11.30am. No choice but to drag myself to work.

Whole day feeling tired and told myself that I need to sleep early tonight. However, I need to stay in office to clear my work and managed to leave office only at around 8.45pm. Too much things to clear today and happened that our temp staff had to take urgent leaves these 2 days as her son was sick. I tried to clear some urgent paperwork for her otherwise it will affect our performance this month.

Took cab home tonight. Was feeling hungry and ate the brownie I bought yesterday. However, I think I am a bit heaty and ulcers are growing within my mouth. Cannot eat too much chocolate liao.

Will finish the 2nd SP of Nodame Cantabile tonight. It will be still 2 hours long and I am sure this will be as good as the 1st SP. :)

Fruitful trip

This afternoon, I went to Dhoby Ghaut with 小珠. Our main intention was to go to the shop where photo books can be printed to have a look at their samples. Heard from one of my colleague that many people now made photo books instead of putting photos on albums which are bulky and heavy. Therefore told 小珠 about it and she found this shop from forum in the internet.

When we reached Dhoby Exchange, we smelt food hence decided to have our lunch first. Saw this cafe "Just Acia" and decided to dine there. They have set meals and the price is very reasonable. We chose the $5.90++ set which include main course and free flow drinks + ice-cream. Very worth it and the food tastes good too. We decided to come again when we are there to collect our photo books.




After lunch, we went to the shop and managed to browse through the sample photo books. Some were really good and therefore we decided to go home and start to do our first photo book. I have already decided the size and shall start to work on it soonest. Hope I can finish it within these 2 weeks. So excited to see the finished book. Very fruitful trip to Dhoby Ghaut. Had good lunch, managed to see the photo book samples and bought brownies on our way back. I was so greedy. :P



Was rather busy clearing my work this evening and quickly rushed home. We had very important things to do at home : 小珠 to continue with her Nodame Cantabile episodes and for me to continue the 1st special episode.

Finished watching the 1st SP and there was no duplication to the earlier 11 episodes. Same same... I was so touched on certain scenes again. Really felt that I am beginning to appreciate classical music/orchestras. The music played were so nice. It was a long 2 hours show hence I could only watch the 1st SP. Shall continue the 2nd SP tomorrow night.

Looking forward to the movies. There will be 2 movies. First one was released in end 2009 at Japan and will be released in Singapore on 11 Mar. Already target to watch it this week. The second movie will be released in April 2010 at Japan. Will look forward to the 2nd movie too.

I'm so touched

Today, my main aim was to go home and continue watching "Nodame Cantabile". 小珠 asked me to watch one episode each day since I just left 3 but she still has 7 to go. I thought I will watch only 2 episodes today but I could not resist the temptation and watched all 3 episodes.

The story was so good and I love the friendship that was built up. Many different types of people come together and played beautiful music. I was so touched by many of the scenes in these last few episodes. Happy ending and there are still continuation which I am looking forward to watch tomorrow and day after. 2 more special episodes which last one and a half hour each. After that will be the movie!

The actors and actresses were very good and I like them all. Now I begin to like classical music. Ha ha...

Look forward to tomorrow!

Today, I was rather busy during the evening that caused us to leave office late at 8pm. Tomorrow, I will try my best to keep to the target (7.30pm). Go for it!!!

Another great drama

Today, my niece came to our house. It had been 2 weeks that she did not come as she was preparing for her CA. She was very blurred that she thought tomorrow is start of 1 week school holiday. She kept asking her mum if tomorrow is holiday. When she found that she made the mistake, she was so shy. Ha ha...


Nodame Cantabile official website

I started to watch J drama "Nodame Cantabile". Started episode 1 and found that the story was good hence continued to watch. Managed to watch until episode 8. 3 more episodes + 2 special episodes to go. I should be able to finish them before we watch its movie version.

In the show, I saw many familiar faces like 上野樹里 (Last Friends), 瑛太 (Last Friends), 水川あさみ (Last Friends), 小出恵介 (Rookies), 向井理 (Mei-chan no Shitsuji) and 吉瀬美智子 (Bloody Monday/Liar Game). Not to forget about the main cast 玉木宏. All their acting were good. Liked 瑛太 character in this drama. 上野樹里 looked so different from Last Friends. 小出恵介 was so funny. This was firstly aired in 2006 and followed by special episodes in 2008. Now movie in 2010. This shows how popular this drama is.

Am now looking forward for the last few episodes and then we can watch the movie which will start on 11 March. Must rush home early tomorrow to watch it. :P

PS : 小珠, the girl we saw on the poster is not the actress in Buzzer Beat. She is actually from Last Friends. She looked so different and I like her in this drama.

Went to Orchard this evening with my parents and sister. We took MRT to Somerset and walked around the new shopping mall 313 for a while. Found nothing much and walked over to Ngee Ann City. My sister was looking for new pair of shoe. My dad was looking for new pairs of jeans and casual shoe too. He needs new jeans as my sister had accidentally thrown away his 2 new jeans while doing housekeeping of his cupboard.

We had our dinner at Sabai Authentic Fine Thai Cuisine located at level four. It was a posh restaurant and initially we found the price was rather steep but after tasting the food we ordered, we agreed that the price was worthwhile to pay as the quality and taste was very very good. Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. The lemongrass drink was good. Glad that we tried.

Alice In Wonderland

What a week past so fast. In a glimpse and it's Friday again.

I would say that I enjoyed this week as I could go home at around 7.30pm which I never been able to do in the past. Really hope I can keep it up as I begin to find that I do not have enough time at home. It is time for me to not to "work so hard" and have more personal time.

We watched movie "Alice In Wonderland" in 3D and we enjoyed the whole show. For me, I did not actually read the book before hence was not too sure if the story was what it showed in this movie. Everything looked so new and exciting for me. However, 小珠 told me that some parts differed from the original story. I like Johnny Depp casting as Mad Hatter. He looked a bit weird but his acting was good. This movie worth the $13 paid. The 3D effects were good.

After the movie, we went to LJS for dinner. Perhaps I was influenced by the movie and was in "Wonderland" that I made a mistake which made me laughed at my own blurredness. I better not spelt it out. Ha ha...

LJS is promoting for self clean up of table but we think it is still a long way to go before Singaporean can have the habit of clearing table on our own. The whole restaurant looked in a mess with uncleared stuff on the tables. Quite unsightful.

On our way to MRT station, we passed by Swarovski shop and saw that they were selling accessories with Alice in Wonderland theme. The door was decorated and I took a photo of it. So fantasy look...

一般的星期四

Today passed peacefully with nothing unusual happened.

Had rushed home after work to ensure I will be on time to dial in for a conference set up to discuss some issue with our USA and Europe colleagues. Luckily I was on time. Initially I planned to stay in office to dial in at 9.30pm. With enlightenment by 小珠, I decided to dial in from home as did not know how long the conference call will last.

Just finished the call at 10.30pm. The organisor was a good time keeper who always ensure the conference call will be on time to finish as she knows everyone is busy and do not want to affect our schedule.

Immediately after the call, I watched Naruto. Managed to watch 3 episodes today.

Everything was good today except the weather. It was so hot since morning and when I woke up, I hate the burning smell. Should be caused by bush fires. There were many reported areas with bush fires caused by the hot temperature. Hope there will be more rain to bring down the temperature. Can't stand it and I missed the cold cold days in Hokkaido uh.

We bought tickets for "Alice in Wonderland". The 3D show starts at 7.20pm tomorrow and believe we can be on time. Cross my fingers and toes. Let us have chance to watch more trailers. :P

Mood = Good

For so long, today is one of the day I find myself with very good mood. It had been a long time since I could feel so relax in office.

Although I still have work not complete yet, however I decided to "carry forward" till tomorrow then do. I cannot leave office early tomorrow because I have to attend a teleconference at 9.30pm with our USA and Europe colleagues. Therefore, I can do those uncompleted work while waiting for the teleconference.

Was wondering if new episode for "Code Blue 2" will be out today. Very happy to know that it was out and I had just finished watching it. Now looking forward to the next episode.

I dare not start any new J drama at this moment. Too many outstanding dramas yet to watch. I am trying to continue to watch 珠光宝器 but looks like I have to watch slowly. There are another 20 plus episodes to go...

Tonight I want to continue going to bed before 12.30am. Must make effort to ensure I have more rest. Aging liao...

Another bad news

Seems like this year, our dept is going through a lot of unexpected situation. Just heard that our colleague based in Taiwan had tendered her resignation. Her reason was to find job in another industry as she is too tired after working in same industry for many years.

Our work is rather hectic and do not have much personal time because we still are on standby for any calls after office hour. Taking leave period still have to worry on work and customers will still call you unless you are really on long leave and out of the country. Good for her that she finally decided on what she wants to do now and sad for us that our team has to cover her work until the new replacement comes in. One of my colleague will be based in Taiwan for 4 to 6 weeks and her work will be covered by the few of us here.

Another of my colleague has applied for job opening in another dept. If she gets the job, she will leave our dept by April. I have already get prepared that she will be leaving us and I need to cover her work but did not foresee that our Taiwan colleague made the decision even earlier than her. Xiao liao...

I just put a target to go home early but looks like, I will start to be busy again after my colleague go over to Taiwan. Therefore, I must go home early as much as I can. Following weeks, it lefts not much days I can go back early.

Relax day

Today is first day of the month and usually I will be busy doing my monthend closing. However, I finished most of the work yesterday night at home hence today I had a more relaxing day.

Took over new task from my colleague and hope I can cope with it. Nothing has taken out from me and this is added work to me. Still do not know why my boss always pass work to me when others cannot cope. Therefore, I tell myself to don't work "too hard" to finish my work by staying late. By completing all work nicely, it implies I can do it and more will come. No no no... My target is to go home latest by 7.30pm everyday unless there is a need for me to stay due to coverage of colleague who is on leave or due to finishing monthend reports.

I left office at around 7.20pm. Good start for the week. 加油!

Out of my 5 idols, I tend to only view Takeru's blog. Tonight, I went to all of the other 4 idol's official website and managed to find this photo from Okada's website. Quite a good one taken. I always have difficulty getting nice photos of his. Only can find his photos on magazines from Japan.

Nice ne? He looks more mature.
