Day 2 - Atami

Check out and took train to Atami.  Our itinerary today was to go for a hiking trail exploring Atami town.

Real good 14 km walk.  We managed to finish it in about 5 1/2 hrs.  Able to see nice scenery along the way and bought local delights too.

We saw some Sakura trees along the way and spent quite some time taking photos.  So happy to see cherry blossom.  Although not full bloom but it is already very nice liao.

Had dinner at one of the restaurant.  I chose cold soba set.  Yummy!

Day 1 - Tokyo

Arrived in Tokyo at around 10+ am.  Bought Kanto Area passes and NEX passes from JR East ticket office.  Managed to catch the 11.48am train to Shinagawa station.

This time round, we booked Toyoko Inn @ Shinagawa.  Quite convenient to walk from the train station to the hotel.

Checked in and left for shopping at Ueno.  Had our favourite ramen pancake and tako balls.  Bought a lot of titbits and headed back to hotel.  Went out again after we brought our luggage to room.  Had dinner at nearby food court at Prince Shinagawa hotel shopping mall.

Bought strawberries from shopping mall and had it as desserts after dinner.

The day has come

Glad that its the day I am looking forward to.

Night time, will be going to airport liao!  Yokoso Japan!

Couldn't keep thinking of the cold cold weather and nice nice food there.  2 of my colleagues reached Tokyo this evening.  We may not be able to meet them but am sure they will enjoy their biz trip bah.

A long 10 months wait since my last holiday.  :)

Shall prepare to go airport liao.

Tired

Woke up when alarm rang at 9.30am but went back to sleep.  Next moment... its 11.30am liao.

Did toilet washing and went over to my sis house.  My niece came rather early today.

Feeling tired today.  But feeling good.... Count down for Japan!!!!

Came home early to continue my packing.  Almost completed liao.

Preparation for my trip

Today, stayed at home to do housework and and also start to do some packing for my trip next week.

Done 70% of the packing and will continue tomorrow.

My sister invited her Sec school friends to her house this evening hence I did not go over for dinner.  Ordered McDonald delivery and ate dinner with my brother.

While waiting for the delivery, I saw some eye catching lights at the opposite blocks carpark facing main hall windows.  Realised there were few fire engines.  After a while, seems nothing wrong and all went away.  Still puzzled on the commotion.  It's like a very big thing happening but no leh?  But glad nothing big happened.

 

TGIF

It's Friday!!!

Usual working day and after work, went to Geylang for late dinner.  We told the cab driver that we wanted to go to Lor 9 but he dropped us at Lor 19.  Hence we walked a few streets to get to the stall we wanted to go for the frog legs porridge.

However, the cab driver that drove me home told me that Lor 19 stall porridge is nice.  Next time can try.  He told me G7 now standard dropped liao.  Not bad uh.  Got some useful info :)

Finally... a bit more relax

Finally, no CNY lunch and dinner.  Back to normal liao.

I managed to clear most of my work and hence can go back earlier.  Intention to leave at ard 8pm but being caught with a waste time problem.  In the end, ard 8.30pm then can leave office.

Still have some work pending.  Must finish by tomorrow....

Super tired

Being woke up by phone call at 4.45 am.  Settled an issue and could not get back to sleep.  Took a while before sleeping again but when woke up at 7.15am, I was sooooo tired.

Dragged myself out of the bed and took extra time to prepare for work.  Reached office a bit late and I was feeling tired for the whole day.

Left few more days before my holiday.  I am now looking forward to it.  :)

Managed to leave office before 9pm today.

Food again

Today, another round of lunch and dinner lou hei.  Glad that it will be the last ones.  Tomorrow onwards no more.

Work piling up due to early leaving office for the dinner.  Must catch up tomorrow liao.

Nothing special happened today.  Normal work day lor except received a shocking piece of news from my boss....

Monday blue

So sad... Monday again.

Busy as usual and this evening had to leave office earlier to have dinner with supplier.  Didn't want to go as I hope I can clear my work within today but no choice, have to go.

The only great thing was the food was nice lor.  The restaurant's complimentary pineapple tarts were decorated nicely with caramel sweets.  Its Jade restaurant at Fullerton Hotel.

Busy Sunday again

Did my toilet washing as usual and my main task today is to complete itinerary for coming trip to Japan.  I kiv it for so long and really have to action on it now.

Went to temple with my parents and brother at Toa Payoh.  Had dinner at NEX before heading home.

I finally completed the first draft.  Will go thru with 小珠 to see if there is any parts to change.  So fast... left another 8 days and I will be in Japan.

Yesterday, Tokyo was snowing heavily.  Will it snow again when we are there???

This afternoon, went to my sister's CNY open house.  Reached there and realised both my sister and brother-in-law and niece not at home.  My sister had class and my niece had tuition.  My brother-in-law went out to collect food cooked by his mum.  Left my brother-in-law's god sister who entertained us.  Hahaha.

I could not stay late as had to leave at 5.30pm to meet 小珠 at Jurong MRT station.  Our ex big boss invited us for his CNY open house.

His dogs were scary but also cute lah.  I dare not let them "touch" me.  However, they were really tame and that made me dare to just stay calm there.

Went for supper with my colleagues at Song Ji Fishball noodles store.  Very nice fishballs.  Will go there again.

 

 

No movie

Today, not watching movie as we had dinner with supplier.  As usual, we were late for the dinner.  For me, I was held up due to some issues that we yet to solve.

Had dinner at Crystal Jade Palace @ NgeeAnn City.  I liked the lou hei.  Special in a way that instead of vegetables, they replaced them with fruits.  Nice nice.

Again had very full stomach after the dinner.  Gaining weight again....

Eating day

Today is really an eating day.  Growing fat liao.

Louhei lunch and dinner.  Lunch was more simple at a Teochew restaurant.  Food not too heavy and just nice.

Dinner at Sheraton Hotel's Li Bai restaurant.  Our supplier arranged a very good menu.  Food was good and must be very expensive.  Every dishes were good.

I was very full but still finished all.  :P

Tomorrow evening another dinner.  Fat fat fat...

Mid week liao

Happy that today is already Wednesday.  2 more days to go.

Very stress these few days due to some issues.  I really home tomorrow can solved.  Pray hard...

Will have little time to work tomorrow.  Had CNY lunch and dinner.  Need to go off early for the dinner so I foresee work will be piled up for Friday.  Friday also has dinner.  Hmmm.

Feeling tired

Still feeling tired and no mood to work.  How I wish have a longer holiday.  Now I am looking forward to trip to Japan in 2 weeks time.  However, I yet to do my homework on the itinerary.  Need to start doing asap.

Today and tomorrow no need to go for CNY lunch/dinner.  Have break.  Thursday onward, all the way have lunches and dinners.  :(

Back to work

So sad.... back to work liao.

Many of our colleagues were on leave today.  So envy....

Busy today and I still yet to finish my monthend closing.  Supposed to do some today but was tied down with other work.

So tired.....  Yawning Yawning Yawning.

CNY ~ Da Nian Chu San

So fast.... its the third day of CNY and so sad that tomorrow has to go back to office.  Not enough rest lah.

Went visiting to my aunt's house in the late evening.  Suppose to go at around 2pm but our relatives coming to our house so we stayed and waited for them.

Had dinner at my aunt's place and followed by usual games.

I did not recoup my losses and the big winners are the kids again.

CNY ~ Da Nian Chu Er

So fast, its second day of CNY.  Today, our visiting will be just to my mum's brother house which is my 2nd uncle's house.

Met up with my elder sister's and aunt's family again.  So funny leh... we will be seeing each other 3 times in CNY.  Visiting each other houses.  Hahaha.

We were quite tired hence decided to go home and cooked simple dinner.  Asked my mum to just throw whatever ingredients left from steamboat into a pot of soup.  Easy and fast...

I felt rather tired and just watched some J dramas at my sister's house.

CNY ~ Da Nian Chu Yi

A fresh new year again.  Beginning of Lunar year and hope from now onwards... everything will be shun shun liao.

Today's first visiting was to our Da Gu house.  My dad's eldest sister hence must visit first.  Followed by my 4th uncle house which is near by.  My brother on leave today so can pay a visit to his god parents house (which is my 4th uncle and aunty).

After that, we came home as my aunt family and my elder sister family will be visiting our house today.  My relatives also came and it made our 2 houses lively.  First visit at my sister's house and then all walked over to my house.

Played cards with my cousins and my parents joined too.  This year supposes to be a good year for Ox but I lose $50 uh.  Where is my good luck???
