One more day to go and TGIF

Counting down..... Tomorrow is Friday!  TGIF liao!

Really hope Friday night is today.  Just one more day to go lah.

Today our boss on leave too.  Two days not around and so glad to have some freedom as he was not there where he can any time just call you and ask you question or to do things.  Glad that tomorrow is Friday but sad that he will be back in office.

I a bit sotong today as my colleague was telling me that our chairman came to our floor this evening.  I thought she was joking but it was true.  They were so surprised that I was not aware.  Ah Cheng told me that she did tell me but I did not register it.  It was the time that I was helping her to do some checking of data.  The chairman actually did walk near to my workstation and I totally unaware.  Me super "hardworking" uh!  Hahaha.

小珠 finally confirms that she can come to my house to stay overnight tomorrow.  So we can go home together tomorrow after the movie.  She is going to City Square mall on Saturday afternoon and it will be nearer to go there from my house.

Today is end of May.  So fast almost half year passed.

Watsons close door sales

Terrible day....  My eyes are so sleepy that refusing to open wide.  I had to eat and eat to keep myself awake.

Went to Clementi hawker centre for lunch today.  Nice nice porridge.  Bought a cloth to cover my kitchen windows to prevent direct sunlight shining on my cabinets. 

My colleague told me that today is Watsons close door sales for members.  She passed me her membership card and I left office early with my colleague to "visit" Watsons at NEX.  Left behind 小珠 and few of my usual overtime kakis.

Need to queue to get into the store as they were controlling the crowd.  However, it was quite fast to get in.  I bought some items and queued for payment.  The queue was quite long and halfway through, the store assistant asking any one paying cash as the counter has no queue.  I quickly got out of the queue and paid cash.  Too many people and I could not see that there were actually 2 different queue.  LOL.

Lazy day

Tuesday.  Hot and warm day.  How I wish its raining to make the weather cooler.

Had been lazy and did not feel like working again.  Holiday lag??

Yet to receive any call from Courts to confirm the delivery of my sofa set legs this Saturday.  Shall wait for another few days.  If not, I have to chase them to confirm.

Countdown to Friday.  Heehee...

Cannot reject

Today, we went through a very comical meeting and everyone just listened to "music".  Not something interesting to mention.

Met up with Tulip for lunch together with 小珠.  Wow she lost weight and so envy lei.  This is the hard work of exercising and cut down carbo which I cannot make it.

Evening, we went home quite late as usual and I reached home at 10pm.  I was cleaning my shoe when some one just greeted me.  It was a teenage boy who was selling ice-cream.  I did not want to buy at first since I still have some ice-creams in the fridge but the boy said he just left 2 bars and hope I can buy from him so that he can end the day earlier.  He earned by commission so must sell finish as soon as possible.  I could not reject him since he said he just started this vacation job. 

So sian lei... Tomorrow just Tuesday.  How I wish tomorrow is Friday again.  Hahaha...  Wishful thinking!

Auntie Tan

My niece came to Pasir Ris home and as soon as she arrived, she asked where was her present.  She had been asking for it since the day we came back from our holiday.

She got her blue haversack and was so happy.  Started to remove her things from her old bag and put everything in the new one.  She loves blue colour.

Spent the day relaxingly at home and went to Fairprice to buy some groceries before heading home.  My brother in law drove us there so I could buy more things.  Auntie Tan buying  groceries again.  Big packets big packets brought home.  Hahaha...

My sister staying overnight today.  My mum looks quite lonely when all of us left home just now.  Ai yah... My brother still at home lah and one day only mah.  My sister will be home tomorrow.

Sofa is here finally but...

This morning, did some washing of clothes and waited for the sofa to be delivered.  The time slot was 3 - 5pm but glad that the delivery man called to say they could come at 1.30pm.  Good for me as I could go out after the delivery.  My mum and sister came to my house first and ta bao lunch for me.  Initially thought we could go out for lunch and be back by 3pm.

The sofa came and it was rather a huge set and it nearly could not enter through my door.  The guys tried to squeeze it in and luckily managed to push it in.  The guys unpacked the sofa and found that the "legs" are missing.  No choice.  They told me that their office has to schedule another date to send the "legs" and fix them.  Temporary can sit on the sofa but don't move it.  So bad coordination uh.  The set looks good in my living room.  Initially still worried that it will be too big and make walkway narrow but so far ok lah.  Has scheduled for next Sat morning delivery.  Finally I can sit and watch TV or PPS through my TV.

Went to Orchard Takashimaya with my sister and mum.  My sister bought WMF cultery 12 pcs set to replace the old spoons and forks.  Reasonable price at $35.  I bought a tissue holder to put in my living room.  Wanted to buy a slipper but cannot find a suitable one.

Moved to Paragon Metro and then Orchard Ion.  Went to Daiso and spent money on "auntie" items.  Followed by dinner at Watami Japanese restaurant.  Had not been there for quite some time and we enjoyed the food there.  I ordered the Yuzu soda as usual.  Nice nice.  Next time can try buying soda drink and mix with yuzu jam (korea stuff).  Hope it tastes the same.  Haha.

Staying at Pasir Ris home tonight.  My sister simply reject my "gesture" to share her bed.  So I have to sleep on the floor with mattress lor.

Movie Movie

Its Friday!  So happy that I can have rest tomorrow.  Too tired after coming back from trip.  Need to have some more rest. 

Very quiet this morning in office as few of my colleagues not in.  One on MC, 2 on urgent half day leaves, 1 coming in office late and 3 travelling.  1 on Pm leave.  How I wish I can take Pm leave too....

Don't really feel like working today and glad that time passed and finally its evening time.  Time for our movie at 9pm.  We left office and bought sushi from Giant Supermarket as dinner.

Watched Men in Black 3.  Some of the parts were quite boring as there were a lot of talking and I could not understand some parts thought there were subtitles.  Perhaps due to my tiredness, I fell asleep at some point of the scenes but woke up quite immediately as I think my brain was telling me that I need to continue the movie.  Hee hee...

My sister not coming to my house tonight but will meet me for lunch at NEX.  Therefore, I shall do some housework in the morning and go for shopping.  My sofa set delivery time is 3 - 5pm so need to be back home by then.

Zombie

Woke up at 7.15am and was so sleepy and tired.  When I reached office, my colleagues could tell that I am very tired from my look.  I believe I do look like a zombie now.  Eyes cannot open wide too.  It stayed like that until evening time. I finally "woke up" and did not feel so tired.

Back home now and feel sleepy again.  Tonight shall try to sleep earlier lah.  Tomorrow going for movie again.  Stopped for 2 weeks and now resume.  :)

Cute cupcakes from my colleague whose wife just gave birth.  His baby is now 1 month old. Look at the small shoe.  Kawaii ne.

Relaxing

Could not sleep yesterday.  Having jetlag.  I cleared my emails till 5am and woke up at 10am this morning.  Hanged my clothing near the window so that they can be dried easily.  True enough, all were dried by afternoon.

Had instant noodles for brunch and started to read emails again plus watching j dramas at the same time.  Just want to relax today.

Went out to pack food for dinner and started to eat chocolates.  Hahaha...

Need to sleep earlier today in order to adjust back to Singapore time.  Hope I will be able to concentrate tomorrow when I am in office.

Took a picture of sunset from my bedroom window.  Not everyday can see this.  Mon to Fri in office til late hours.  Sat and Sun at Pasir Ris home.  :)

Back home

After taking 13hrs of travelling time in the flights (not including 2 1/2hrs transit at Doha), we finally reached Singapore at 3.30pm.  I reached home at around 4.15pm and tried to go every corners of my house to see if there were any cockroaches.  Found one dead in the kitchen.  Either it was hungered to death or suffocated.

I unpacked my luggage and started to wash my clothing so that they can dry soonest.  Swept the floor and mopped the floor.  My parents and sister came to meet me for dinner at the coffee shop near my house.  They said that if they did not come, either I will skip dinner or eat instant noodles.

Started to download my emails and need to wait till it is completed.  Total around 1250 emails.  I already tried to delete some on the first 2 days of my trip but gave up after finding it so tedious plus no time.

Now very alert.  Will try to clear as much emails as possible so that tomorrow can relax a bit before starting work on Thursday.  :)

Its the last day of our trip.  Staying in hotel till 12noon and coach will pick us up at 12.30pm.  Nothing to do hence watched PPS.

So sad.  Back to reality liao.  Shall plan for next trip to motivate myself. Haha.

7th day - Amsterdam to Brussels

Its last 2nd day of our trip.  So fast uh.  Had breakfast and left hotel for our journey to Belgium.

Stopped by a factory outlet but not selling branded goods.  Only local brands.  Bought Hugo Boss shirts for my father and T-shirt for my brother. Very reasonable prices.

Bought 2 polo t-shirts for myself and a pair of slipper from nike.  Thats all.

Moved to Belgium and reached Brussels central for photo takings.  Bought some Godivaand local chocolates.  Wanted to find biscuits and waffles but it started to rain and we had no mood to shop and just find seats at Mcdonald to wait for dinner meeting time.

Sad that it rained but glad that we only caught in the rain today evening.  Other days were good weather for us.

Shall try to find some more goodies at airport tomorrow.

6th day - Amsterdam

Today we started the day with flowers admiring at Keukenhof Tulip fair.  A bit disappointed as 90% of the flowers gone.  Japan Toyama trip was better although we only took photos from flower "pots".

Next we opt for going to Volemdam.  Its a fishing village and we had a super the fast forward lunch there.  Serving speed was lighning fast.  Bought a waterproof jacket there.

We travelled back to town and had a cruise along the canals.  Ended with visit to Diamond factory.  None of our group members bought.

After dinner, had a walk at the redlight district and ended the day with aching legs.

5th day - Paris to Amsterdam.

Woke up early this morning for long journey to Amsterdam.  Took 7 hrs.  Had lunch along the highway.

Passed thru Germany for shorter route and our first stop was Holland village.  Took photos and watched clogs and cheese making demo.  The sky turned dark and started to rain when we board the coach.  Lucky uh.

Had dinner and bought some drinks from supermarket near dinner place.  We are staying near airport and there is no shops there to buy drinks.  We bought strawberries and mildberries to eat.  They looked fresh.  Too bad did not take photos as we were too eager to eat and no time to take.  Haha.

The hotel room is bigger and more comfortable.  At least more space and not so cramp.  Tired tired tired.

4th day - Paris

This morning, we had city tour around both left and right banks of Paris.  River Seine cut Paris into two.

We had a good city tour guide and her introduction was so amusing that we really fully concentrate on her talking.

The tour included going to Eiffel Tower 2nd level.  One of the two lift broke down months ago and is still under repair.  Hence the queue was super long to go up.  Luckily we had group priority and just waited for about 30mins.  However we had no priority queue on coming down.  In the end, we decided to walk down slowly instead od queuing.

Next we had lunch at a chinese restaurant and it was a nightmare.  A group of China tourists jumped queue and snatched our table.  Really cant stand them and no wonder the ang mohs didnt like Chinese.  Worst thing is we Singaporeans are mistakened as them.

Afternoon was shopping time.  Started at 2 pm till 8 pm.  Looks long but with queuing time and dinner, left not much.

I spent money again.  Bought a LV long wallet with zip, a LV big size neverfull, a Samsonite tote bag and 2 different sizes Longchamp bags.  Could not resist.  My mum also bought 1 medium size  neverfull.

Tomorrow moving to Amsterdam and long journey. About 7 hours.  So fast that left onlu 3 more days and will fly back to Singapore.

3rd day - Paris

Woke up early today as we had a long journey from Lucerne to Paris.  Travelling time was about 9 hrs.

We travelled and had short break every 2 hrs.  I really admires our driver who had to concentrate on the driving while we sat relaxingly and slept as and when we want.

Had lunch along the highway.  Saw a group of Europeans having picnic there.  They had tables and chairs.  Coach luggage area kept with cartons of drinks.  Very interesting.

We reached Paris at 6pm and went for the optional tour - Cruise at River Seine.  We chose to just take the cruise without dinner.  Cruise
ended at 7.30 pm and we headed for the hotel.

Tonight we stay at Hotel Ibis.  Got a shock when we entered the room.  It is so tiny.  Smaller than Toyoko Inn in Japan.  Only good thing is that wifi is free and can access on the room.  Unlike hotel Astoria at Lucerne where wifi is available only at the lobby.

We had our dinner at nearby Chinese restaurant.  Surprisingly, the food was very nice and price reasonable.  We finished our dinner at 10 pm.  Sinful uh.

Tomorrow going for city tour plus shopping.

2nd day - Lucerne

This morning, we went for short city tour around Lucerne.  Spent 2 hours at Bucherer as my parents wanted to buy a pair of watch.  Took some time to look for suitable pair.

We opt to go Mount Titlis hence whole afternoon spent there.  Quite fun to take 3 types of cable cars up there.  Was foggy at the highest station and just took some outdoor photos.  Had lunch there and the food was quite nice.  Big portions so we ordered 3 sets to share.

Evening back in hotel and decided to pack dinner back.  Could not find the same store that sell pizza or pasta with sausages so just bought pizzas.  Shall rest in hotel early tonight. Tomorrow long journey to Paris.

1st day - Zurich - Titisee - Lucerne

Arrived Zurich airport at 6.30am and first place to visit is Lake Titisee at Germany.  We took a stroll along Lake Titisee and watched cuckoo clock making demonstration before having pork knuckle lunch with a slice of blackforest cake.  The cake was very nice.

Headed back to Switzerland Lucerne to have early rest as it had been a long flight and day.  Everyone is so tired.

Ready ready

Finally its Sunday.  Tonight we are flying off to Zurich via Doha.  Taking transit flights so that my parents can stretch and walk for about 2 hours before continuing the long journey.  Will reach Zurich in the morning and itinerary starts from there. 

My elder sister family is here now and I will need to get prepare.  Will go to Pasir Ris first before heading to airport.  Had dinner at Earl Swenson for Mother's Day celebration.

I am going to forget all my work and shall enjoy this trip with my family.  :)

Satisfied

This morning, I started to wash my master bedroom toilet after I woke up.  Done in 45mins and started to mop the floor (dry one as I cannot stand the dust).

Touch up my packing of the luggage and left house at 2.20pm to Pasir Ris home.  Took 53 and reached in 45 mins. Quite fast.  Luckily I ran to catch the bus.  Otherwise would have waste 15mins to wait for another bus.

My dad came home very early at about 12noon.  He kind of a bit tired and also nothing much to do so called it a day and returned home.  Maybe he is also in holiday mood liao.

We went to Tampines One for dinner.  Decided to try the Sushi Tei there.  Too bad... today's salmon sashimi was no good.  Not sweet and too dry.  Perhaps may be due to the season lah.

Came home at around 10pm.  Started to mop the floor as I think tomorrow not much time to do.  So better finished by tonight.  My elder sister family will come to my house tomorrow.  I asked them to pick me up to the airport.  Can save $$$ on cab fare.  Hee hee...

We are celebrating mother's day by eating at the airport.  Meeting tour leader is at 6.30pm and we have to take our dinner at 5pm.  Tentatively we are going to eat at Swenson.  Hopefully not too crowded tomorrow.

Holiday mood

This morning, I was so happy that just one more day of work, I can relax and start my preparation for my holiday.  In the end, so "happy" until I left office only at 10.15pm.  Rest of my colleagues went home early today.  I preferred to complete my work instead of bringing home to do tomorrow as I have some chores to do and be going out in the afternoon.

Shall start to pack tonight.  Think I will have to sleep late as I usually take 2 hours to pack.  :)

3 more days

Yippy!  One more day to go before weekend and three more days and I'll be flying to Europe.  I am looking forward to this trip as I really need a good rest.

Today, I try to do as much as possible and to start making notes for outstanding issues so that my colleagues know where to continue to back up me.

No jeans wearing tomorrow.  Why lei???  It's because I do not have enough jeans and if I wear tomorrow, I will short of one for my trip.  Hahaha....  Really must go and source for new pieces.

My colleagues asking me to buy wallets/bags/earrings for them.  I shall try my best.  Priority given to myself.  Hee hee...

Looking forward to eat Swiss chocolate ~ Merkur.  My colleague who just came back from Europe trip said that the chocolates were good.  Of course I know!!! It's because I bought it on my previous 2 trips to Switzerland.  :)

Shall target to sleep by 1 am.  My cough is getting bad and need rest to recover.

Countdown

4 more days to go and I will be flying to Europe for this year first holiday.

Work still that much.  Must try to clear as much as possible.

Having stiff shoulder today.  Must rest earlier. 

Blur Blur

Normal working day for me.  My boss kept bugging on when will I go and buy the baby gift for one of our colleague.  Finally after 2 weeks, I went today.  To prevent him from asking me again.  Initially, I wanted to go myself but 2 of my colleagues went with me.  Luckily they went with me, otherwise, I will have problem carrying the items back to office.  Bought a big set of toy and some clothing.

I cannot stand my hair today.  The texture was like so oily and I was wondering if I sprayed too much hair tonic on top of my head after hair wash.  I even went to toilet to "blow dry" using hand dryer.  However, the feeling was the same.

Back home and I cannot stand anymore and decided to wash my hair again.  Finally I think I know what happened...  I think I forgot to use shampoo this morning!  LOL!!!!!

Cooked cream of mushroom for dinner.  My dad said must use the cooker occasionally.  Otherwise will spoil easily.  Same for water heater and aircon.  So must use lor.

Super busy

Today is a super busy Monday.  Lots of work and cannot finish.  I need to prepare for my holiday next week hence has to start preparing notes for my handover.

However, with so much work, I have no time to really do the preparation.  Gonna do it slowly on next 4 days.  I wish to have a peaceful holiday in Europe.  :)

Back home

Stayed at Pasir Ris home for whole day until evening time whereby I went to Whitesands Shopping mall with my sister to buy travel size shampoo and shower gel.  Just in case some of the hotel in Europe does not provide.  We just bought 1 each for standby.

Weather was good today with raining in the afternoon.  Did not do much but just watching TV.  Just managed to watch 3 epi of j-dramas.  Still have a lot of back logs.

My dad drove me home tonight.  My sister and mum also followed.  Actually it was because they need to pick up the mop set and bedsheet.  Otherwise, I will take bus home myself.  :P

So fast uh... tomorrow back to work liao.  Left 1 week for me to finish as much work as possible.  Commentary for April, notes for my Korean colleague, notes for my colleague who covers my work etc...

Buffet time

Today is holiday and we decided to have dinner outside. My sister booked table for 4 pax at a japanese restaurant located at The Central.

Morning, I woke up at 8.30am and started to do some mini spring cleaning. My sister helped me. Otherwise, I think I could not complete the whole house myself. Left toilets and fans not washed as we ran out of time.

Walked to NEX for lunch and bought something for myself and my mum. My sister recommended me a mop that costs cheaper than the one we saw previously at OG. The one we saw cost about $200 but I bought one that cost $49.90 and with 10% disc under Isetan privilege card. Worth the money. I tried to operate it at the counter and it was easy to use. So we bought a set for my mum too. Also bought a new set of bedsheet for her.

My parents came to my house and we went to The Central together by train. Before that, we went to Chinatown to change currencies for our next week trip. We were on time for the dinner. Booked for 6pm and got a nice seat near the window that could see Singapore river. The place was quite big and the spread was good. However, we under performed again. Could not eat too much as we were very full after one round. However, we were satisfied with the food. Took a cab to Marina Square shopping mall as I wanted to buy a haversack.

My sister recommended Eastpac but it was too expensive. Went to a few more shops and finally found one at World of sport. There were many choices and we landed on one Reebok which cost $39.00 and had further discount of 30%. Very cheap uh. Just paid $27+ for it. Each of us bought one. So happy. :) Headed home and rest...

Super Hero team

Sinful sinful sinful. Had so much food during lunch time and made my stomach so bloated until we did not need to have dinner before our movie time this evening.

Watched "Marvel's The Avengers" at 8.45pm and we were not late this time round. There are a few super hero movies that we did not watch hence we were guessing the names of the characters when the movie started. Overall, this is a very nice movie that includes so many super hero and they teamed up to fight against the evil. At the end of the movie, it seems to us that there is a continuation of part 2. Hope there will be and definitely, we will watch it. :)

Mini car

My colleague drove her mini cooper today and initially, we thought we had to take our own transport home since there were so many of us. However, we managed to try squeezing 4 of my colleagues to the back seats of the car. Total 6 pax in the car. Very miracle that such a small car could carry so many person. Left office late today as one of my colleague broke down as she was too stressed with her work. We asked her to relax and do not take things too hard. She can't please everyone and need all parties to play their own parts. Hope tomorrow meeting will be able to trash out with all the various parties to ensure smooth operation in future. Ate another apple tonight. Left 3 to go... :)

Wednesday blue

Today back to work and I simply cannot concentrate.  I don't feel like working today.  Still holiday mood.  I left only 1 1/2 weeks and will be going for my holiday.  Will be busy when back but don't care first.  Just play first.  I really need a break (with no phone calls on work!).

Went for lunch very late and back in office only at slightly before 4pm.  Had meetings and that delayed our lunch hour.

Ate an apple for dinner tonight.  Very crunchy wor.

Good holiday

Woke up at 10.30am this morning and my body a bit aching as the mattress is too hard as compared to my bed.  Weather was good the whole day.  Quite windy due to occasional raining.

Stayed at home to surf net and watched PPS/TV.  Had early dinner tonight as I intended to take bus home myself since I did not have much thing to bring home this time round (previous trips all with big big items to bring home).

My mum asked my dad if he wanted to send me home.  I said no need but it seemed like she wanted to go to my house.  She asked my sister too.  In the end, my dad drove us to NEX to buy some groceries and then sent me home.

They stayed at my house for a while and then went back.  After they left, I'm home alone again.  Did washing of my bedsheets and also the newly bought thin mattress for my sister (for her to use as her mattress is super hard).

So fast that the day passed.  Next holiday is this Saturday which Monday is not a default holiday.  So sad...
