Stayed at home

Finally I can have rest after a long and busy week. Since the day back in office from our holiday, we stayed long hours in office to clear our work. Glad that I can sleep longer hours and watch my j-dramas.

Watched quite a few new J-dramas today. All are nice and shall continue to chase after them weekly. This season has quite a no. of good ones. Although none of my idols is the cast. As long as the story is nice, I don't care who are the casts. :)

First one watched is Umareru 生まれる. Its about a woman who got pregnant at age of 51. Her husband just died and how this impact her 4 children.

Second one is Namae o Nakushita Megami 名前をなくした女神. Its about a family moving to a new neighbourhood. Their son being bullied in kindergarten. The group of mothers appear to be nice and friendly but in actual fact, they are not.

Third one is Boss 2. Am looking forward to the second season and glad that the stories are still good.

Coffee time??? Better not....

This morning reached office and before I could finish clearing my emails, my boss asked my colleague and me to follow him out. Was wondering to follow him to where... In the end, guess was correct. Went down for coffee. Not a good sign as I hardly go for coffee break with him.

Was "lectured" by him that we kept staying in the office. He wants us to "disappear" from office and go out for customer visit as frequent as possible. In fact I am getting ready to "disappear" from next week onwards... Oh dear... with more coffee sessions and lunches with customers, I will be getting fatter and fatter. However, I better adhere to his request on not to stay in office. Otherwise.... another coffee session uh.

Went to Pasir Panjang Hawker centre this afternoon. Had the famous Vegetables Char Kway Tiao there. It had been a very long time since I last visited this stall. The uncle was so good and generous to give us a lot of vegetables. Made us felt less guilty after eating it.

Had dinner at Coffee Club again this evening before our movie session. The restaurant was not so crowded but due to the staff forgot about our last dish, we had waited for some time and resulted in late for our movie. We missed first 10mins of the show but luckily managed to capture gist of the story and completed the show.

"Source Code" is a simpler movie than "Inception". The only difference is I could guess the ending of the story for "Inception" but not for "Source Code". I like the ending and is wondering if in the future, man can really invent such machine for one to move into another dimension. :)

Lack of taxis?

This afternoon, went to Duxton Hill to visit one of my customer. After the appointment, went out to get a cab back to office. However, there was no cab at the small lane hence walked out to the main road. Seeing it was quite "deserted", I decided to walk further out to look for more cabs.

Walked towards Maxwell Market and tried to get a cab there. However, most of them were occupied and no luck after waiting for 10mins. Saw bus no 80 and decided to get up and alight at another point where I could get a cab easier.

Alighted at Tanjong Pagar near Amara hotel. Thought it was easier to flag a cab there. No luck again... Most of the cabs put up "change shift" sign and all destinations were towards east area. Hence, walked to Amara hotel taxi stand to try my luck. If no cab, at least I could call cab stating my location (easier for cab driver to pick me up at a more specific location).

Finally my luck was here. I managed to get a cab. Managed to reach office on time to handle my sales enquiries. In total, I had used up 30mins just to get a cab. Is Singapore still lack of taxis?

Quite busy today and left office late again. Will watch new J-drama which starred by my ex idol, Sorimachi Takashi. There are more J-dramas for me to catch up in this season. Looking forward to them. :)

By reading the title of the story will tell that this is a pretty sad story. However, the little boy is so cute. I hope it will be a good ending.

PS : Look at the little boy's eyelashes. So long uh!

Oh why so many things to do

Today is still as busy as the past 2 days. Quickly cleared emails in the morning and left to meet our ex-colleague for lunch. The Coffee Club's promotion is ending soon hence we decided to have our lunch there.

Back in office and met up with my Financial planner to change my medical plan which I have bought thru her. She is changing mine to a better plan with greater coverage but with an increase in the premium.

We had a teleconference at 5pm which was a bad timing for me as 5 - 6pm is a busy period for us to handle sales enq. No choice but to bring our laptop with us and handle by communicating thru email and yahoo with our customers. Glad that it ends timely at 6pm.

Busy doing some stuff and managed to leave office at 10.15pm. Hope tomorrow we can go back earlier.

J drama marathon starts

A better than yesterday day. Managed to work more relaxing today. Although, still busy during the evening time. Glad that I was able to leave office at 8.45pm. Shall try earlier tomorrow.

Heard news that SIA has slashed fare to Japan. Two to go tickets are just $398 each (all-in fare). Too bad lah... only valid till 20 May travel period. Cannot take leaves liao as just back from holiday in Switzerland. Hope later will have better fare. $200 each. Hahaha... must be daydreaming again!

Watched episode 1 of 四つ葉神社ウラ稼業 失恋保険〜告らせ屋〜. Nice J-drama and main cast is 小珠's idol 城田優. This time round, he is really the main cast. Past few ones, did not have chance for him to really let him act in a big role. I like his role in this J-drama. His hairstyle is nice. :P

Shall continue to watch the next 2 episodes. :)

Back to office

This morning, I found that the chocolates bought for colleagues were melted. I had placed them in a paper bag and leaved in the living room. Thought that it would not be so hot to make them melt. But.... wrong decision made! They melted uh...

In the end, I had to carry the paper bag with extra extra care, in order to deliver them to office "safely". Had left it for a while to cool them down before distributing. Those that I bought for my aunt also melted. Need to transfer to the fridge...

The weather remains hot for the whole day. As at now, I am having the fan blowing directly on me. Otherwise, I will melt. Hee hee...

I managed to clear most of my emails today and worked on those more important things. Those I could not finish just now, shall continue them tomorrow. Have to start to go out for customer visiting before my boss reprimands me.

Need to plan the "outings" liao. :(

Back Home

Uhhh... End of holiday. Back from Switzerland!

I had a very good trip with many many "strange" events happening. It made our trip so joyous. Relaxing and flexible itineraries...

The plane touched down at around 6am but due to some technical problem on ground, we had to wait till 6.40am before plane could moved to the berth. Very hot weather once I was out of the airport.

Was sweating and sweating when I was unpacking my luggage. Another period of "roasting" weather. Ha ha ha... (I think I am craving for the roasted chicken from Migros.)

Finished unpacking and started to log in my office laptop to download the emails. Due to the server was in China, it would take a very long time from past experience. Thought that I could start to clear emails after I woke up after a nap, so as not to waste time.

Slept at around 12noon and woke up at 3pm, found that only about 200 emails (Out of 700. Luckily I cleared some emails while I could access to wifi in Switzerland) was downloaded. Tried to clear more from webmail and it was still slow. In the end, by 10pm, I still have another 300 emails not downloaded. Gave up and decided to clear them tomorrow in office.

I had very little sleep and hope tonight can have a good full sleep till tomorrow am. My niece came to our house and I underestimated her size. The T-shirt I bought for her from Nike factory outlet was too small. In the end, I had to let her have the one size bigger T-shirt which I supposed to give it to my little cousin. Next time better buy big big size. At least can wait while she grows up than cannot wear. :P

So sad... Have to go back to reality. Back to work!!!

Day 3 : Lugano

So fast, its third day in Bellinzona. Today, we headed to Lugano as our last stop in Bellinzona. We took train to Lugano station and was shocked that out of the station was just roads. Nothing much to see. We were puzzled and just followed signboard indicating where the ferry terminal was. As long as we followed the way to the ferry, we would find the lake and town.

Walked down a very steep road and saw a funicular mid way. Hoping that we could take this funicular up the hill when we were going back to the station. Otherwise, it would be another climbing trip again.

Finally we saw the town. It looked similar to Zurich old town and as it was still early, it was not crowded. Just found it cute to have tables and chairs set on the staircases. Unique...

We were looking for the ferry terminal where we could take a scenic boat tour and happened to find a park. We were amazed by the tulips in the park and took quite some time taking pictures. The wind was blowing and we were freezing. Cold....

After taking the photos, we took the boat to Gandria. Gandria was recommended by bloggers that it was a nice small town. However, we decided not to alight due to the town was too small for us to stay there and wait for another boat. We would like to fully utilised our time.

Back in Lugano and we took the funicular back to the rail station. Changed to an orange train to Caslano where we visited the Alprose Chocolate Factory. We did not go to the museum but to buy the chocolates from the shop. Free testing and we ate quite a few pieces. Bought 3 big pkts of assorted chocolates at a very cheap price. Only setback was we had to carry at least 3 kg of chocolates with us.

As there was still some time, we went to Fox Town at Mendrisio. This was Europe's largest factory outlet. We wasted some time figuring out where was the bus stop that we could take bus to the outlet. Asked few people but with language barriers, we only managed to find a woman who spoke English. She recommended us to walk there since it was quite near and she was unsure of the timing of the next bus going there. She was kind to direct us but we ended up walking to the wrong way. Finally figured out and walked to the outlet (thru highway which we would not do so in Singapore).

It left just an hour for us to shop. My main purpose was to buy a haversack as mine was in bad shape after not using for so long. The material was cracked and torn. Managed to buy one from Nike shop at a reasonable price. Lucky lucky.

As we were so tired after long walking for the whole day, bought 2 scoops of ice-cream and enjoyed it while resting our legs. However, the cafe staff had to request us to leave as they were closing. No choice lah... Had to go back...

Long day and we were so tired. Back in Bellinzona quite late and decided not to buy dinner. We ate biscuits in the room. Not so hungry so it was fine. We started to do packing and to sleep early tonight. Tomorrow we are heading to Lausanne.

Lugano town. Cute arrangement of tables and chairs on staircases.

Nice colour flowers.

Places of interest.

Day 2 : To Lorcano

Woke up fresh in the morning. Had breakfast at 8am and it was a great spread. We were unable to finish all and packed some bread as snacks. Did not want to waste the food.

Our itinerary today was to go to the stone houses and Pont dei Saiti at sonogno. For our this trip, we are going to unusual places where mostly locals will go.

We arrived at Lorcano train station. The guide that I got from website indicated that the walk to the bus terminal was about 3 mins. This misled us. We walked around and only to find out that the bus terminal was actually just less than 1 min from the train station. Aiyoh!!!

Double checked for the correct bus number to Sonogno and board the bus. Swiss pass covers most of the transportation hence very convenient to just show the pass to the driver. Our first stop was the stone houses and we alighted at the last stop.

The town was very small only and we thought we could finish walking within 1 hour. The next bus to Pont dei Saiti would come in an hour time. We happily took photos of the quiet and unique place. Walked and walked, time passed so fast that we had to rush back to the bus stop before we missed the bus. If we missed this bus, we had to stay for another 2hrs for the next one. This would jeopardized our plan for today. Luckily we managed to catch it.

Arrived at Pont dei Saiti and was so impressed by the bridge. It was so special and the place was even smaller than the stone houses. The next bus back to Lorcano was in 2 1/2hrs time. We planned to have our lunch there while waiting for the bus.

Strange enough that we fully utilised the 2 1/2hrs and also missed out some nice views. There was a waterfall down the road where we only came to know while on the way back.

We went back to Bellinzona and planned to buy food from Coop. However, it was closed and we managed to get pizzas from Migros. Looked simple but it tasted good. Very economic dinner. Just cost us 5fr. Heehee...

Delicious breakfast to start this beautiful day
