Back to work

After one day rest, back to work today. Did not feel like waking up this morning.

Work as usual. Luckily no lunch with customer today. We went to Telok Blangah for lunch. Our favourite prawn noodle store yet to re-open hence bought the wantan mee instead. Queue was long as many of the stores were closed so those stalls opened were all with good business.

Did not feel like working today hence left office earlier. Back home to watch j-dramas. :)

J dramas

Woke up at 9.30am and got out of bed at 10am. So good to be able to get up so late on a Monday morning.

Took 1 1/2hrs to clear emails and started to watch J-dramas. There are so many outstanding episodes and my plan is to finish them by today till the most updated ones.

Left house at 2pm to accompany my mum to see doctor. Same thing, she has to go for ultra scan and follow up with doctor appointment in six months time. She insisted not to have operation although doctor recommendation is to have the operation to remove the lump in her neck. Since the chance of bad cells is 5%, we decided to go according to my mum's wish and go for checkup regularly. I personally also dun wan her to take the risk. She was so nervous when she reached CGH. Hearing that she can continue to just do regular checkup and no operation, she relaxed.

Cleared some work once reached home and continued to watch j-dramas. I can complete the outstanding ones tonight. Yippy!

Not at home

This afternoon, I went to Toa Payoh temple with my parents, sis and bro. This year I 冲太岁 hence need to go for praying. Our family will go together every year. Luckily, it was not too crowded when we reached there and managed to get parking lot at the hdb open carpark.

After that, we decided to go for dinner tonight since it is 人日 today. Managed to book a table at Spring Court at 5.45pm. I highly recommended this restaurant to my parents until they really wanted to try. Not disappointing, the food was still good.

Went home after dinner and our stomach were so full. Initially thought that the dishes were not too full as we ordered set for 4 pax for 5 of us but added one dish. The food expanded in our stomach??

Tomorrow I am on leave as need to accompany my mum to see doctor at CGH. Can wake up late tomorrow. :)

Tiring day

Tiring day today. Woke up early and left house at 10.15am to our 4th aunt's house. Stayed for about 1 1/2 hrs and proceeded to our 1st aunt's house which was nearby. Chit chat for about 1 hour plus and need to leave due to car park coupon time overdue liao.

We were very hungry and I was craving for McDonald's curly fries. My 1st aunt wanted to go and buy chicken rice for us but we said no. Didn't want to trouble her. I suggested to go to ARC for our lunch since parking no problem and the McDonald outlet should not be crowded. True enough, we had a very peaceful lunch there. Not too crowded but surprisingly there were still people dining there although the location is quite "wu lu". We saw quite many people buy stuffs from the Fairprice supermarket. I believe they are staying nearby and is more convenient for them now when Fairprice supermarket opens.

After lunch, we proceeded to my elder sis's house at Toh Guan road. We missed an exit at the AYE and ended up with longer way to reach there. Stayed there for a while only as I had another session at my boss's house this evening. Before meeting 小珠, I went to my sister's sister-in-law house to view her renovated house to get some idea of the workmenship of the carpenter I will be using. Not too bad. Shall proceed as plan. Only thing is... money money money. Hope can have some discount from the contractor.

My boss's house was so noisy when all the kids were running about, playing catcher. His small dog was so nosiy too. Barking and barking. I like the balcony at the top floor as it was so breezy and with nice view. Most of us left at around 10 plus. Managed to get a lift from my colleague who was going to Pasir Ris to pick up her mother-in-law. Lucky uh. Initially I still trying to ask my another colleague to send me to nearest MRT. A bit pai sei that I asked but in the end did not take his car. But... my another colleague and her family took his car. :P

Had collected more ang pows today. Hope my luck coming to me.

No movie

Got a picture of the sunset this evening before leaving office to our CEO's house for CNY gathering. Nice sunset but too bad, my iphone is not powerful enough to get the nice round and orange sun.



We left office at 7pm. The sky turned dark and started to rain when we were searching for the location. My colleague made a wrong turn and ended up taking extra time to find the correct way. Managed to reach safely and we had a great time catching up with gossips and chit chatting. The funny part was, we were in fact gathering with the same group of people and not interacting with others. Haha...

Oh yah... no movie tonight. So sad. :(

Tomorrow has to wake up early as we are going for visiting to our 2 aunties houses. Afternoon will be going to my elder sister's house and follows by my boss's house in the evening. Busy day...

Stayed late in office

Today, office was still quiet as many of my team members are still on leave. I reached office at 11.15am as I went to my new house to meet up with the tiling contractor to discuss about whether to keep the existing floor tiles or not. In the end, decided to proceed to change. I do not want to regret later if I did not change.

Very gross thing happened. I opened up the cabinet to access to the dustbin and found dead cockroaches in the cabinet. OMG!!!! Its not 1 or 2. Its at least 20 of them. Roasted!!! I had no choice but to sweep them away. I was bearing their stinking smell. They were definitely not there when I went there 1 1/2 weeks ago. Wonder where they came from. Better go there regularly to do spot check until the renovation work starts. Hope I will not have nightmares tonight.

Had my first Lou Hei with customer Spring Court restaurant. The restaurant was very crowded and glad that the food was good. Tomorrow is at Amara Hotel Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurant. First time going there too. Hope food is nice.

Stayed in office till 10 plus. I completed my work by about 9pm and continued to fill up my 2012 PC. Deadline is tomorrow. Better complete today as tomorrow evening, cannot work late as we are invited by our CEO for his CNY open house.

Watched new episode of Strawberry Night thru mobile phone while on my way home. At least can save some time. :P

Back to work

First day of work after celebrating 2 days of CNY. Office very quiet without my 2 colleagues who usually create "noise pollution". Many of our team members were on leave today hence we are the boss!

I did not have mood to work actually but still have to work. So sad...

When my colleague said she wanted to leave office for shopping at VivoCity, I answered that I wanted to go too. In fact, I just want to get out of office early today.

In the end... this resulted in me buying 6 shorts, 2 t-shirts and 1 blouse. All within 30mins at HarbourFront Centre. Really super fast!

2nd day of CNY

So fast and it's second day of CNY. Tomorrow has to go back to work. So sad. :(

Today we stayed at home as my sister's family, my brother in law god sister's family and my aunt's family coming over this afternoon. It's second round of gathering. Again... another session of black jack. This time round, I won $5. Better than nothing.

Nothing much done today. Just gonna continue watching j dramas.

Don't want to go back to work! Although already starting to answer customers' sms.

Happy Chinese New Year

Gong Xi Gong Xi!

First day of Chinese New Year! Woke up and felt so happy this morning as today and tomorrow no need to work. But still find it too short for this year's CNY. How I wish we can enjoy one week holiday. :P

Went to my aunt's place and gathering there to play black jack with the kids. This is a yearly event where only this occasion, the kids can play the cards. My luck was not good and lost about twenty plus. Treat it as my "ang pow" for the kids.

We stayed there till 11pm and had a joke when we took the lift. My aunt's unit was at the highest floor #11 and we waited for the lift. There were about 11 of us and we tried to squeeze into the lift. Perhaps we pressed the door open button too hard until the lift cannot close the door even all of us came out of the lift thinking it might be overweight. In the end, we had to press for the other lift to get up.

The problem is, if this lift was up at this floor, the other lift would not come up from first floor. The kids went to the 10th floor to press for the lift to come up. Then, all of us rush down to 10th floor to take the lift. Strange thing happened... the "problematic lift" worked and was at the 10th floor too (one of the kid pressed 8, 9 and 10th floor so it had to stop at these floors). So some of us took this lift. My mum was so scared because she did not want to trap in the lift. We told her its ok. If trapped, we will accompany her. Hahaha.

Back home at about 11.45pm and now shall relax and watch some j dramas. :P

Count down ... its CNY eve today! Sooooo fast.

My niece came quite early today. She was busy doing her homework and only could start playing after completing. So pitiful. So much homework.

We started to prepare for reunion dinner at about 5pm. Had steamboat as usual. Asked my mum to cut down the portion for each dishes but we still could not finish the food. All no stamina liao.

Luckily we chose steamboat. If my mum cooks, all the cooked food will be kept in the fridge. At least if we can put those steamboat ingredients while cooking instant noodles tomorrow or day after.

Plan for tomorrow is to go to my aunt's house. At least we can stay till quite late as next day not working. Day after, my elder sis and aunt's family will come to our house.

Shall continue to watch J-dramas now.

Spring cleaning!

Today, we spent few hours at home doing spring cleaning. Clean window grilles, change curtains, changed bedsheets etc. Luckily the weather was good this morning hence did not really perspired a lot. Or should I said that... my younger sister done more than me so I was not perspiring? Hahaha...

My dad went to work today and we waited for him to be back before deciding where to go for dinner. Today is his birthday. As many chinese restaurants probably be full due to CNY reunion dinners, we decided to go for western food. Had been a long time didn't go to Changi Crowne Plaza's Azur restaurant. Managed to book a table for 4 and proceeded. My elder sister family did not join us as my niece's tuition was till quite late and by the time they reached East side (from West) will be very late. Give ang pow can liao lah!

Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite empty today. People chose chinese restaurant??? The varieties were not too much for this buffet and we just tackled the oysters and lobsters. My mum's stomach not feeling well so dared not eat too much. I ate about 10 pieces of oysters and about 6 pieces of lobsters (half portion each). Hope these could cover what I paid for the buffet. Good that we could relax and enjoyed the food slowly.

After that, we went to Changi City Point to buy some fresh flowers and apples for my elder sister. She asked my mum to buy on her behalf.

Not crowded at this shopping mall too. Many people stayed at home???

Movie time

This morning, my colleagues and I were so angry when we heard that hampers ordered for our customers were not delivered due to "no stock". Our admin dept told us that they would be delivered by Thur due to orders overwhelmed by the florist. We were ok with it and just let the florist delivered accordingly.

My colleague called admin dept to check the status for our deliveries this morning and only got to hear that none of the hampers was delivered. What a joke!!! The reason given was the florist called the admin colleague on Wed and since she was on leave, they dropped an email to notify that there was no stock and could not delivery. No one knew about it until she came back to office today. The florist was so dumb as they just leave it as it is, assuming email will be read. They should give a follow up call to ask if message received and ensure we could get alternative florist to deliver. This is the first error.

2nd error was the admin colleague did not even bother to notify us about this situation. Luckily my colleague called her. Otherwise, we thought they were sent. So pai sei if we did not send to our customers. This list of customers are all our important clients. My direct boss was so angry and called the admin manager immediately and lodged a complaint. They went up for discussion on how to settle the problem. Finally, managed to find a florist that could accept our last minute orders. Due to short of time, I cancelled some orders for those customers who were on half day today and I already sent some goodies personally. Otherwise, did not know where to hide my face.

Wasted so much time on this and I decided to deliver to one customer personally this afternoon. That admin colleague's attitude was so bad and made us angrier.

After delivering the goodies, I stayed to clear all paperwork for my colleague who was on leave. Boss said we could leave office early but.... we were too hardworking and rejected his offer. Hahaha.... I rather finished the work and enjoy my holiday.

We were quite full and also due to short of time, we decided to have our dinner after movie. We were not late for the movie and I even had time to buy 2 pieces of shorts at HarbourFront. Lucky lei. Can wear new short at home during CNY. Its cheap too. $10 per piece.

The movie "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" was enjoyable. I believe it will be nice in 3D effect. We watched the digital version. Story was predictable and some parts were too "not realistic" but its just a show. Ok lah.

Train extension today. I managed to take a quite empty train. By the time I reached Pasir Ris station, the cabins were almost empty. A bit weird to have me the only one sitting in the cabin.

Late night

Today, went to VivoCity again as we need to buy movie tickets. Could not purchase online yesterday due to system error.

Bought tickets and had lunch at Food Republic. Shared the Wu Xiang with 小珠. They were so good. I think we too long never eat and thus we found it tasty.



My colleague called me during our lunch that she needed me to help to buy some CNY goodies for our customer. Went to buy BBQ pork and Bengawan Solo cookies. It was my 3rd trip there within a week. The staff could recognise me liao.

Worked late again tonight as I cleared paperwork for my colleague who is on leave till next Wed. I better try to clear more for her so that the backlogs can be reduced.

Another busy day

Took train to HarbourFront and instead of changing to circle line to office, I went to Giant supermarket to buy few cans of abalone for customers, went to Bee Cheng Hiang to buy 3 kg of BBQ pork and then Bengawan Solo to buy a cake + cookies. All for customers.

Took cab back to office, read some emails then went out to distribute to customer. I could not handle myself hence asked 小珠 to help me. After distributing, we went to Raffles City for our lunch. Plan was to find some place to eat at Raffles Place but the cafeterias were all so crowded. Ended up eating Burger King.

2nd trip out at 2.35pm. Had a meeting at 3pm at customer's office. Prior that, I diverted to send the goodies to another customer. Luckily I did that because my customer forgot about the meeting and I waited for 35mins. Back in office at 4.15pm and was then so busy clearing emails. Worked and worked until 10.30pm before we decided to go home. Took train to Tanah Merah and changed cab home. Too late liao so pay to go home earlier.

Hope tomorrow can be a more relaxing day and can go home earlier.

Busy day

Today, I went out with my direct boss to buy CNY goodies for our customers. 2 of us were like aunties carrying many big packets of goodies bags walking along CBD area. We thought the bags were not heavy but we overestimated our abilities. We dragged ourselves walking from one building we parked the car to another building where our customer office situated. Could not carry any further and called for help for our customer to come down to the lobby to carry up for us. So pai sei. I was like perspiring and with reddish face when I went to customer's office.

After that, we continued to another 2 places but were quick ones as we requested our customers to pick up from lobby so that we need not park the car. Finally cleared and went back to office. We were so dehydrated that we went to 7 Eleven to buy big cup of slurpy. Cold cold one... So shiok!

Out of office for many hours hence had to stay back to clear my work. Left office rather late at about 9 plus.

Finalising CNY lunches

This morning, I took some time to sort out the menu and fax deposit confirmation to restaurants booked for CNY lunches with customers. When I saw the menu, I had no appetite liao. Imagine that you have to eat Chinese 8 course lunches for 7 days consecutively. Plus another 2 dinner. Today 9 meals uh!!!

Left office very late tonight as we need to complete our performance appraisal by today. Managed to edit and sent out by 10pm. Hopefully no need to amend any more.

Not much time left to watch J-drama tonight. So sad... :(

Neighbour's wedding invitation

Today, it's our neighbour's younger sister's wedding. Theirs was a rather grand one at our void deck. I did not want to attend as need to change clothing hence asked my elder sister to accompany my dad. Initially, they just planned to pass the angpow but my sister said that $200 angpow, should just attend and eat something. First time attending Malay's wedding so wanted to see how it was like.

Before that, I was trying to find out what is the current market rate. Only one of my colleague reverted. Since invitation was extended to our whole family, we think that $200 was appropriate. My colleague's advice was if for friends, about $20 - $30. For acquaintance, about $10. For family/relatives, about $50. So ours should be just nice lah. Hope so...

Entertained my niece this afternoon and also did some spring cleaning on my wardrobe. Went to Changi City Point mall to buy some dried food for my mum to cook during CNY. Also bought few cans for abalone from ZTP. We found out that the store at Simei was closed down and shifted to Changi City Point mall. We could recognise the store assistants. One of the lady still remembered us although we only go there once a year. After that, went to Cold Storage to get some drinks and chocolates for CNY. The drinks are additional ones to those we bought earlier.

I also managed to buy 3 sleeveless top for home wearing during CNY and one belt as my current one is going to break into 2 pieces any time... Sad that I could not find shorts for home wearing. Need to knock off earlier coming week to look for at least 2 pieces.

Shopping time

Today, our shopping started again. Left home at about 2.30pm and took bus/train to Chinatown. We went to buy some CNY goodies. In fact not much to buy. We just bought some Taiwan jellies and peanuts (黑金刚). This year, we have to control and not to buy too much.

After that, proceeded for early dinner at around 5pm. Had porridge at the famous coffee shop. Now we are smarter. Don't wait for seats at the first floor. Just proceed to 2nd floor where there are more seats and its cooler. More hygienenic too as there are no cars moving beside the tables.

Went to CK store and stayed for a while. Not to buy things but.... to enjoy the cool aircon before proceeding to the market. Hahaha....

Bought my dad's working pants, socks (similar type we found in Taiwan), blankets (to replace our current ones which we become "woolly" each morning as the wool kept coming off) and a CD for my mum (CNY songs). After that, we decided to take a cab to Simei Eastpoint to buy abalone from ZTP and also to try our luck again at the Bega store.

Luck was here and money was spent! I bought 12 pieces of blouse + pants and my sister bought 16 pieces in total. Our damage was $528 for me and $628 for my sister. 4 pieces difference with only $100. My sister 赚到了! Any way, we were happy that we managed to buy some more clothing. Just one week difference and we could buy so many pieces from Bega. Last week, we found none when we walked into Bega store at NEX.

After buying the clothes, we went to ZTP store. It's 10pm and we were trying our luck if it was still open since it was near to CNY period. To our surprise, the store was no longer there. Ai yah! Have to go to another location liao.

Back to work

Back to work today. Cancelled my leave as I need to attend a meeting. My customer came from KL and wanted to discuss on one outstanding case.

My desk shifted to few rows away and I used some time to adjust and pack my stuff. My colleagues helped me with the move yesterday and tried to arrange my things for me as close as how I kept previously. Thanks for their help. I managed to settle down and got use to the new seat.

Had watched "Contraband" tonight. Movie started at 9.20pm and we were just on time. Nice and exciting movie with no time to close our eyes.

We had dinner at Burger King before the movie. Initially wanted to eat at LJS as I have groupon voucher but no seats and we had no time to wait. Shall go again next time.

Glad that tomorrow is rest day again. :)

Last day of holiday. Holiday?

Today will be last day of my holiday. Tomorrow needs to go back to office as there is a meeting in the morning with customer. Hence decided to cancel my leave. Should I mention "holiday"? I've been working from home everyday. So lugi. Conclusion is holiday = must travel out of Singapore.

Went to WhiteSands mall for lunch with my mum. Bought some groceries and a tin of egg roll from Bengawan Solo. Did not really want to go out today as I hope to stay at home and watch j dramas.

Completed "Runaway". So touching. So sad that Ryu died. Glad that the rest could start a new life after completing their jail term. Hope to have more such good stories dramas.

Started to watch Strawberry Night, Stepfather and 贖罪. They are quite good. More new dramas aired this week hence start of my chasing of dramas again. Also watched anime Prince of Tennis 2 yesterday after 小珠 told me she started to watch. Also starts anime 未来日记 which is quite nice too. I wish I can have more eyes to watch all at the same time. :P

Hair cut finally

Finally had my hair cut today. Booked appointment for 3.30pm at PS. Cleared some emails before I left house. My mum was sleeping and I did not wake her up so left quietly.

Was on the phone for half of the journey trying to settle some problem (office work). Reached and glad that it was not too crowded. My hairstylist's off day is every Wednesday but she cancelled her off days for this few weeks due to CNY peak season. No choice. Boss has to sacrifice. Hence, not many of her customers know she is working. I called yesterday to make booking and her colleague suggested me to come today so that I don't have to wait for long time.

Did highlight on my hair. This time round back to red. Red is auspicious for new year. :)

Finished the hairdo at 6.30pm and due to laziness, I wanted to take cab home. Therefore, in order to fully utilise the cab fare, I went to Carrefour to buy some drinks. My sister wanted Capri-Sonne which we could not find in NTUC supermarket. Found some and bought home lor.

Wow.. cab fare really expensive during peak hours. $27 for trip from Orchard to home uh!

Had a great joke this evening. My mum cooked stingray with chilli sauces. There were 4 pieces. I ate 3 of them and kept the biggest piece for my dad. My dad was chewing and found it strange why the skin so tough. Then hor... he asked my mum what was that as it was so tough. Then hor... my mum burst out and said : Oh I finally found it! I could not find the sandpaper just now while I am washing the plates. LOL!!!!! My dad gone speechless! I was laughing and laughing non stop....

First quote from contractor

Went to one of the contractor's office this afternoon and got the first quotation. The price looks quite reasonable but I know that there will be additional costs because this is just the basic package and if wants something better in quality, have to add on.

Shall wait for the second contractor to quote to me. Believe will be more expensive for this one as there are quite a major change that needs to be done. Hope to get it soon to make comparison.

Had lunch with my aunt and mum at Sizzler restaurant. My aunt is working nearby hence she just joined us for lunch and went back to work. I went to East Coast Road to buy some CNY goodies. OMG!!! Initial 4 bottles became 9 bottles. My mum likes some of the items so buy all lor.

Carried them all the way back to Pasir Ris. Bus was crowded and I had to stand all the way till Tampines then got a seat.

Managed to make an appointment with my hair stylist tomorrow at 3.30pm. Lucky uh... not much slots left.

On leave??? Worst than working day

Today I am on leave. But I was busier than I am in office. Whole day stick to my chair. Customers calls, answering emails and prepare some notes for my coverage etc. No time to rest at all.

Tried to complete as much as possible today but the stupid email system having errors. In the end, I could not send out emails that I drafted. Tomorrow then continue to send.

Need to go out by 10.30am tomorrow. Initially boss called for meeting at 3pm and I am involved. However, asked my colleague to check and she said I no need to rush back. Heard another news that we are changing seats tomorrow. Ai yoh... why so fast change seats... Heard that the change is due to our team cannot take current seats as it is not a good area for us in dragon year. Is this true??? Don't know if it is my boss' joke or not.

One thing that made me happy is that I had a very good breakfast. It's my dad's chinese birthday today and my mum cooked mee sua for him. So... we had same too. Very delicious!!!

So touching

I finished jdrama 南極大陸～神の領域に挑んだ男と犬の物語～ today. The doggies are so pitiful. I thought Ricky will be survived till Kuramochi san be back to fetch them but just one day difference. It could not wait and died. Felt so upset that why couldn't the story be changed to it managed to reunion with Kuramochi san.

Felt so touching when the only 2 surviving dogs were found. They were so brave and could stay together to fight to stay alive. There were so many touching scenes between the few dogs that were left behind. Glad to watch such a good drama.

My niece came to our house today and she was pestering me to find songs for her iphone. Not sure what happened but the itunes software on her PC is like not performing like mine. After transferring to her iphone, I cannot delete the songs. Strange lei. But anyway, transferred 4 songs in and will try for her again next week.

Tomorrow is start of my one week's leave. Doubt I can go out tomorrow as I need to settle some work at home. Hope it will be a good week for me.

Home renovation

Today, I made appointment with the renovation contractor introduced by my elder sister at 2pm. Went to the house with my mum and younger sister. The guy was very experienced and usually go on site visits. Therefore, he gave comments immediately when he started to look at my house.

First of all, his idea is same as mine where the layout of the kitchen needs to be changed. Just heard from him that nowadays, hardly people do tiles on kitchen walls. He suggested to mend up with cement and just do painting on it. Also will change the kitchen door to center and my little window will be gone. I want light to get into the living room from kitchen hence he will do a small glass panel i/o of wall at the left side of the door. I leave to him to design for me.

After going through all areas, it will be a big renovation. Now will wait for his quotation and design. My aunt made another appointment for me at 4pm and the contractor came. This one, he did not suggest many changes and just go according to what I want to change. My aunt told him I am having budget for the renovation hence I think he dared not recommend a lot of changes. I believe his quotation will be cheaper but let me see his quote and design first. Then I can make a comparison.

Next week I will take time to meet up with these contractors to let me make my final decision on which one to engage. My aunt has another 2 to recommend and my colleague's cousin, I also yet to contact them. I shall see how are these 2 quotes first. I hate rejecting people....

Went to NEX for dinner. Had Japanese dinner at Ichiban boshi. Very good meal. After that, we shopped a while and sad that I could not find any suitable clothing at BEGA. My sister said how about going to Isetan to shop. Luckily we went. I managed to buy 3 blouses from OAMC and my sister bought 3 blouses and 1 dress. New clothing for CNY.

I cannot imagine that we left only 2 weeks and its CNY. No preparation yet. Must cheong liao.

Super bad day

Morning started with a case in which customer was so unreasonable. The problem could be solved if customer was reasonable but the whole issue was dragged until 8pm. It caused many of us busy with the case and caused inconvenience to our other customer as it jammed out our delivery schedule. Angry uh!

Luckily it was settled first at 8pm. Need to follow up again on Monday. At least I could enjoy the movie tonight.

We watched "Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol". This was decided on Wednesday after we could not decide which movies to watch. There are 2 new ones but no review yet hence I suggested to watch Mission Impossible although I don't really like to watch Tom Cruise's movie. He is ok but just that I don't like. The plot was good and glad that we did watch it.

Train extension tonight hence we could take our own sweet time to take train home. Next week I am on leave but I do not have any mood that I am having a week's leave. No travelling and I guess I will still need to handle office work since I know that are a few cases to follow up next week. So bad... but I'll take the time to talk renovation contractors to at least confirm which one to work with.

Made appointment for one contractor recommended by my elder sister to view the house tomorrow.

Tefal fair

Today and tomorrow, the Tefal fair is here again. I bought quite a few items through my colleagues few months ago. Today, I bought a wok only. Many of the products are not for induction use. So sad.

Tomorrow, I may consider buying one iron. My mum prefers heavier ones. She will be helping me to iron my clothing so must buy something she likes.

So fast that tomorrow is Friday and I will be on one week leave next week. Yippy!

Quiet

Today, many of our colleagues are not in office as they attending company dinner n dance at Shenzhen. Office became quite quiet. Still have that kind of "holiday" season atmosphere.

Chinese New Year is approaching in just 2 weeks time. So fast for this year. Hope I can do a lot of things next week while on leave.

Wish year of dragon will be another good year for all. :)

First day of work in 2012

First working day of the year. Back to work. No more lazying around liao.

Full force in office except our boss whom flown to Shenzhen for meeting cum d n d. Glad to start work without big boss around. Hee hee...

Rather busy with my work for the whole day. Managed to go for short lunch and back to office within 30mins. Too many things to do...

Left office rather late today due to the need to clear some urgent issue. In the end, I still forgot to call the renovation companies up for enquiries. Shall do so tomorrow.

Last day to enjoy

Today, holiday in lieu and will be last day of "happiness". Tomorrow, will be a new day to work in 2012. Definitely will be start of busy schedules with many meetings for new plan for the year, customer visits, CNY planning etc...

Stayed at home the whole day and just went out for a while to deposit some coins and to send recycle items to The Salvation Army drop off booth. Things did not go quite smoothly today.

My dad drove us to Marine Parade as we could do coins deposit at the POSB branch and send the items for donation at the booth near the bank.

However, when we reached there, we realised that the booth was no longer exists. Hence, we decided to find alternate location which is at Upper Changi North Road. Went to do the coins deposit. First time doing and ended up.... JAMMED! Our coins are jammed and the machine out of order. I think we put in too much and it was so heavy that jammed the machine. In the end, my sister called the hotline and have to wait for them to do a manual count and deposit the money to our bank account. Did not know if we will lose some money or not.... So unfortunate.

The booth at Upper Changi North was very near our house. In future, we could go there and its more convenient. Today it was so hot and we were perspiring after the ordeal of the machine out of order. Next time cannot be too greedy... Split to multiple transactions. We thought everything went so smoothly so one shot finished it. Did not know that the machine is so weak...

Well... tomorrow is a new start. Hope everything is going to be smooth from now onwards. :)

NEX x 2

This afternoon, we made a trip to my new house. My dad went to do some praying and put up red banner to show that this house is already occupied by us. It will be empty for quite some time as I need to look for renovation contractor and by the time work can start, it will be after CNY.

Took some photos on all corners so that it will help when I discuss with the renovation contractor. At least they can have some idea on what needs to be done. After this trip, I think 80 - 90% of the house needs to change. My mum asked me : are you keeping the wardrobes? I asked why? She said : you want to use other people's wardrobe meh? LOL ! So I think I need to change liao!

After that, we went to NEX to continue our shopping. Today, we started from 2nd floor. Continue from yesterday. In the end, we still didn't cover all. Left 1st floor and basements. We stuck at 2nd floor for few hours (including dinner). Bought clothing and shoe for my dad. At least settled his items. Now left ours.

My sister and dad's car parked at the carpark near my block. Hence we walked back after shopping. This is how I spent my first day of year 2012.
