Car Rides

I woke up rather "early" today at 10.30am. Usual Saturday I can wake up at around 11.30am. My sister's fishing trip was cancelled hence nothing to do today. Therefore we decided to drive out to have our brunch.

Decided to go to Clementi for Wanton noodles or porridge. However my sister suddenly remembered there is The Uncle Sam's Claypots restaurant there. When I heard claypot rice, I could not resist and immediately said I wanted to eat there.

We ordered Handmade yam noodle, boneless claypot rice, toufu, otah and fuzhou fishballs. Wow wow! They were so nice and we finished all the food. Next time we can bring our dad there. He will like it. Too bad he always has to work on Saturday and miss those good food.

After our brunch, we headed to Turf City. First time there and may be the last time I will be going there. In fact nothing much to see there. Just bought some groceries at Giant supermart. Felt rather hot there and since nothing much to see, I suggested going back to Tampines 1 shopping mall. I craved for the chendol from Kopitiam foodcourt.

Had my chendol and we shopped around for a while. The weather was strange that there was sudden heavy rain just before we wanted to move to next destination at Bedok. It was 6pm and our plan was to buy dinner from Bedok hawker centre near Blk 85. The rain disrupted our plan. Final decision was to buy from Kopitiam foodcourt so that we could eat together with my dad. So sad... we wanted to try the famous char kueh tiao there. Maybe next time lor.

Spent Saturday afternoon outside and at least not just sitting at my desk staring on my pc. My sister said that chasing me out of the house will help to slow down my laziness. Ha ha... She said that because I always stay at home doing nothing but surfing net or watch J dramas.

That does not affect my routine. Here I am surfing net and will continue to watch J dramas. Hee hee...

Amalfi 女神の報酬

Just back home after watching movie "Amalfi". Another good movie which I highly recommended to watch. The plot was good and the casts acting good. I enjoyed the whole movie.

Initially I did not know why the title of this movie is called Amalfi. It was until in the mid of the show that mentioned Amalfi is a place in Italy then I know. The movie was filmed in Italy and the locations are so beautiful. Roman Colosseum, Vatican City, Amalfi etc. The scenery are so nice. How I wish I am there.

The Christmas joyous atmosphere made me look forward to year end. I like Christmas season where everywhere are light up and decorated nicely. So fast, this festive season approaching in 2 months time. Happy Happy!

After the movie, we were deciding what to eat for dinner. I had craving for Mee Pok with chillies but due to it was rather late, we decided to dine in LJS instead. At least we can eat slowly and no need to worry that the store is closing.

Tomorrow is Saturday. Day I am looking for since Monday. Can rest again.

Popiah Lunch

This afternoon, our company had a popiah lunch. We signed up to learn how to wrap popiah. In actual fact, not learning but to "anyhow" do. As long as can eat. Ha ha.

Quite good response and all of us enjoyed the lunch session. Hopefully our ugly eating images will not be caught by our camera man. I ate 3 popiah and 5 kuah pie tie in total. Big eater?

It rained again around 1.30pm. Seem that it becomes a routine schedule to rain. Hope it does bring down the temperature outside and wash away the haze. Haze haze go away...

We went buy movie tickets for tomorrow before taking MRT home. We are lucky to get the last row from the back and center seats. Looking forward to the movie tomorrow at 7pm.

Have watched epi 2 of Jin and will continue for epi 3. Otomen epi 2 (autumn season) already came up and I cannot watch it tonight as it will be late by then. Shall watch it tomorrow since I should be back home earlier since we are watching the 7pm show. :)

Duck rice ~ Banana = Yummy

Newspaper reported that more thunderstorms are expected for following weeks. These 2 days, it rained around lunch hour. Since the weather was not too bad, we decided to lunch at Seah Im hawker centre today. I quite miss the food there. I ordered the duck rice which is rather famous there and so satisfied with it. Especially it costs only $3!

Tempting right?

Rather pleased that I managed to fix a few deals today. Hope I can do more sales. Although busy while trying to handle so many customers at one time, it really makes me feel happy once the deals are fixed. I used to hate doing sales but seems now I begin to get use to it. 加油吧!

Received an email from my boss who is in oversea trip. Such a small world that he said he met my ex-company boss there. They should be introducing themselves and as my ex-co boss knows which company I join after I left, he may have casually ask if my boss knows me. Was telling my younger sister and she said luckily my reputation is good. Otherwise..... ha ha ha...

Reached home around 9pm and was shocked when I see a huge banana. Took a photo of it using a tablespoon to reflect the size of the giant banana. Surprised! Though big but it is not so sweet. Heard my mum saying it is good for health that is why she bought it.

Look how huge is the banana. It is a tablespoon. Not teaspoon.

Decided to watch J-drama, Jin 仁, that is aired every Sunday. Cannot resist to watch this new one as 小珠 described some of the funny scenes to me. The first epi lasts about 1 1/2 hrs hence I need to watch it now. Otherwise cannot finish it on time for me to sleep "early". :)

Special movie night

Today had lunch with Tulip and 小珠 at Carl's Junior. Finally I managed to eat the Fish n Chips. Disappointed for last 2 visits that the Fish n Chips were sold out. Perhaps we went there too late at night.

After lunch, we walked slowly back to office. Just before leaving HarbourFront centre, I realised we forgot to buy tonight's movie tickets. We actually walked a big round in VivoCity and had to walked back to GV. Good exercising after heavy lunch.

As we missed our usual Friday movie last week and there are quite a few movies that we would like to catch, decided to watch one tonight. We chose to watch My Sister's Keeper at 7pm.

This is a very sad story and many scenes really made people cry. I tried not to but couldn't help dropping tears towards the last part of the movie. It was so touching on how the younger sister tried to be the bad girl who sued her mother and the truth was she was helping her dying sister to fulfil her wish to die. After watching it, I was pondering if this happens in real life, will all parents do same thing as to save their child. Will the younger child who is born just to save his/her sibling willing to donate? Overall is a real good movie. The next movie session will be Friday. We should be watching Japanese movie "Amalfi". Hope it is nice too. :)

Back home and immediately rushed to watch Koshonin 2 (交渉人) epi 1. There are so many upcoming J-dramas and need to watch them as soon as possible. Not movie marathon but J-dramas marathon. Hee hee...

J-drama continuation

My colleague is on MC for 2 days. I am covering for her hence left office late since I need to finish up the necessary recording of sales and paperwork so that I can start fresh tomorrow.

Reached home at 10.15pm and after bathing, immediately stick onto my chair staring at my laptop. Played facebook games a while and continued to watch Samurai High School epi 2. It made me laughed when I saw 小珠 idol (Shirota Yuu) funny new image. He is trying to follow Haruma's transformed Samurai hairstyle. Kawaii :)

Due to some work issue, I can't sleep early today. Although my intention is to watch epi 1 of Koshonin 2 today, I doubt I can do that as by the time I finished, it will be rather late. Therefore, I shall change my direction to continue playing facebook games. Ha ha...

救命病棟24時

After my niece went home, I decided to start watching 救命病棟24時. This is the 4th series. Watched Epi 1 & 2 and they were mostly some flashback of what happened in the first 3 series. Was wondering if this new series is just a recap of past stories.

However at the end of epi 2, there was a part where there was a warm welcome to
江口洋介. It seems to be he was sick and joined the taking of epi 3 onwards only. This may be why first 2 epi were just some introduction.

Looking forward to the rest of the epi (total 7). I like this kind of lives saving stories and so touching. Makes me wonder if in real life, are there really such good team of doctors and nurses in the emergency units. :)

I like the team up of 江口洋介 and 松嶋菜々子. Glad that they still look the same up till this new series. They seems to have no sign of aging. :P

New TV and Clothing

This afternoon, I went to Century Square with my sister and mum. We went there with main purpose of buying new TV to be placed in my parents room. My brother's TV was spoilt and my mum decided to buy a new one and pass their set to my brother. Initially I thought my mum is so good to my brother and willing to sacrifice their TV. In actual fact, it was because she longed to have a new TV set which is flat screen. Took this opportunity to buy new one. Hee hee...

We are rather pleased with Samsung brand hence we actually zoomed in to this brand when we reached Best Denki. Coincidence that they are having a promotion and just in 15mins time, we decided to buy the 32" LCD flatscreen which cost $629 only. Original price is $1600+ and due to in house promotion, there was a huge discount. The discount may be due to it is HD ready and not Full HD but it doesn't matter to us since this set is to just watch normal TV program.

I was looking at other sets too and found that the LED flatscreens are so cool. Slim and clear. They are so expensive. Don't think it is necessary for us to buy such expensive ones. LCD is actually good enough for us. Maybe in future when the price drops, we will consider them. :)

After settling the TV, we went to BEGA store where I usually shop for my clothing. There are not many choices for me but I did end up buying 3 blouses. My sister bought 3 pants. May need to buy some more in the near future as I tend to have problem choosing daily clothing to work. I tends to wear the few usual pieces. My colleagues may start wondering if I am too poor to buy new ones. :P

Toughest night

Back home after attending our company event at Sentosa. Before I went for the dinner, I was actually dragging myself there. My boss told us to go so as to show that we supported the event. However out of 8 of us from our section, only 3 were there. I am one of the "unlucky" one.

The dinner event started at 7pm but we reached there only at around 7.30pm. We had to finish our work before leaving office. Most of our colleagues were there since 4pm as there was team building games.

When we reached Rasa Sentosa, we had to first draw our table number and that fixed our destiny on who we were sitting with. My table was not full but I only knew one of the table member and not much to talk too. In the end, I found myself eating on my own and watching the host (Flying Dutchman) leading the games. When table members talking, I was just acting listening to it (but actually don't know what they talking about) and smile aimlessly (傻笑).

That's how bad it was by having dinner with "strangers". Although the few colleagues sitting together are quite friendly, but because some of them already know each other and have a lot of things to talk or joke about, I somehow felt left out. That feeling is so bad. Our dept is too big until we do not know all colleagues. Even when you see them everyday, some do not even smile to you.

How I wish I can don't join it in the first place. Being sabotage by my boss uh... I did not even eat much and start to feel hungry now.

PS : 小珠, you made the right choice!

Tokyo Dogs 東京DOGS

Tokyo Dogs first epi was aired on Monday. Just finished watching it and find it quite interesting. I like those police/investigation/mystery stories. Oguri Shun and Hiro Mizushima are the main casts. Oguri has a new look where he cut his hair and think he looks not that skinny now. Find his new look quite good. Hiro changes his usual pretty face look to mature man with beard. Although I don't like men with beards, his still looks ok to me. Perhaps his beard will be shaved off later as the poster shows "no beard" on him.

One is too "strict" and the other is too "loose" when doing work. Good pairing up. There are some parts which made me laughed. Eg: Oguri's sudden comment on he don't like 香菜, he needs to call his mum within the 10mins promise, his cold joke that no one laugh etc...

Glad that there is another good drama for me to follow till year end. :)

Today we had lunch at Garuda restaurant (under Tung Lok group). We like the food there and it is not that expensive. We ordered ala carte dishes and what thrilled me were the chillies. Ha ha... I ate too much again and felt so full after eating. Today is the 2nd day I had super heavy lunch. Tomorrow need to go back to "normal" lunch liao because we had company dinner tomorrow and guess I will eat heavy dinner again...

Lunch at Asian Kitchen, Otomen 乙男

This afternoon, we had lunch at Asian Kitchen. We ate together with one of our customer and enjoyed the food there. I ordered spicy sauce ramen with softshell crab. Side orders like Tofu, fish slice, vegetables, "wu xiang" etc were nice too.

Although we were very full, we could not resist the dessert which was described as very good by one of our colleague who ordered first to try. After he ordered, all of us followed him. I was very full at that time hence shared one bowl with 小珠. Next time we can go there again. We are wondering why we keep forgetting that there are still some restaurants at VivoCity B2 where we can have our dinner on each Friday before or after our movie. Now must remember!

This evening, I went home together with my sis. She went to gym and ready to go home at around 7.45pm. Usually she go home at around 6.15pm which it is too early for me to follow her back home. Therefore, I can take a lift only when she go for her gym session.

Just finished watching Otomen 乙男 epi 9 (Autumn season epi 1). The story is beginning to be more interesting. I like Okada Masaki in his kendo fighter uniform. Looks so cool.

Tonight I better sleep early. Panda eye appearing! じゃね

Manly Haruma

Just finished watching Samurai High School. Haruma gives a different look in this drama. He looked so different when he is transformed to a Samurai. As if he is a complete different person. Initially, I cannot recognised that it is him who is fighting enemies in the beginning of epi 1. He looks so menly and seem like he went through a lot of toning up that makes him looks so fit.

Very cute and funny story. Really wanted to laugh when he and Shirota appeared so timid. The 3 girls are so bad that forced their schoolmate to be a thief. Well, so eager to continue watching epi 2. Sad to say... I have to wait for another week.

Finale and Beginning

Just finished the last epi for Dragon Zakura. The ending is not what I am hoping for. Out of 6 students, only 3 managed to get thru to Todai. Sad for the other 3. However, the most important part is all students who initially have no motivation on studies, now know what direction to take for their future.

Very touched story and believe many who watched it will feel the same. Great! Great! Great!

Just searched for the Samurai High School epi 1 and でた! Too bad it is getting late and I cant finish the whole 57min long epi. Shall continue next day or I shd say "tonight". :)

Another nice J-drama ~ Dragon Zakura ドラゴン桜

Uh.... just finished epi 7 of Dragon Zakura. Initially started to watch this J-drama just because one of the cast is Yamapi (trying to watch those dramas he acted previously). However, as the story continues, I find it to be a good and another touching drama.

This story is about a group of student who were despised being in a very poor rating high school. With the involvement of a lawyer, it changed their destiny. Interesting that special class was set up with specially engaged teachers to teach them in a different method. Main aim is to get into Todai (Tokyo University). Although I yet to know the ending but I can guess it must be a good one. While watching, I kept recalling my school days. How I pass my tests and exams? In fact, I cannot remember how I did it. The process of making the few students to go after their goal really touched me.

It surprised me to see so many familiar faces. This drama was aired in 2005. There are familiar faces where they looked so young. Other than Yamapi, there were Nagasawa Masami 長澤まさみ (Last Friends/Operations Love), Koike Teppei 小池徹平 (Gokusen 2), Aragaki Yui 新垣結衣 (Code Blue) and Nakao Akiyoshi 中尾明慶 (Rookies).

The most time taken for me to identify them are Aragaki Yui and Nakao Akiyoshi. They looked so different when they are younger. :)

Well, will continue to watch another epi before taking a rest.

Girl Girl in pain

It's Sunday! So sad that tomorrow has to go back to work.

My niece came to our house as usual. When she arrived, I asked her why her lips were in black colour. Initially, I thought it was due to she drank some artificial colouring drink or sweet that caused it. However, it turned out to be 西瓜霜 which my sister applied on her lips.

Her lips are swollen with ulcers. Gums get infection too. Poor girl, she is in pain for almost a week and did not have appetite due to difficulty to eat. Today she is slightly better but it is so pitiful seeing her like that. She cried after dinner as one small part of the partially dried skin peeled off. She lost some weight due to this.

Luckily this morning, there was a tv program showing one girl had to get medication due to over-do loss weight program set by herself. After watching, I told her that she can slim down by exercising or eat lessor but cannot don't eat completely. She said ok. Maybe that is why when we asked her to eat dinner with soupy rice, she finished it.

Poor girl. My parents also felt pity on her.

Takeru's blog ~ 16 Oct

Read Takeru's blog for 16 Oct and puzzled at first to see photo taken for Haruma and Shirota. Roughly read through his blog and so great of him to advertise the new J-drama "Samurai High School" which will air first epi tonight at 9pm. A start of J-drama chasing again. Currently I am watching Otomen which will end soon. Upcoming ones for me to chase after are Tokyo Dogs (Hiro Mizushima), Liar Game 2, Koshonin 2 and Samurai High School. So many to watch for this season. Hey hey... will be busy from now on. :)

Interesting interview - Yamapi & Kamenashi

Saw this interesting interview with Yamapi & Kamenashi (Shunji to Akira). They were acting for Nobuta wo Produce. Can see that the weather was very cold at that time and they were wearing thick jackets. Although there wasn't any subtitle, can roughly guessed the contents. The funny part came when they realised Yamapi wore his pants reversed way. A great laugh by all. :)

April Bride 余命1ヶ月の花嫁

Watched Jap movie "April Bride" tonight. This is based on a true story and is a sad movie. However, there were some parts when it was so touching and felt like crying, suddenly some funny action made us feel like laughing. Strange but it did prevent us from being so sad. One part I can remembered clearly is when Eita was crying so bitterly and suddenly his mucus dripped down from his nose. Dangling there for a while until he used his hand to clear it. :)

There were parts when it slowed down the pace of the movie but overall still a touching movie. After watching, I am wondering how is real Taro doing now. Is he fine? Missed Chie? He is such a nice man to love Chie no doubt knowing she would leave him. The only sad part I think is Taro did not get to see Chie lastly before she passed away (the part when he was so tired after the wedding in the day time and he slept while Chie asking him if he remembered how they first know each other).

I missed a small part of the movie (abt 6 - 7 mins) when my stomach "give way" and I cannot control the ache until I had to leave my seat to rush to the toilet. I tried to control so that I will not miss any part but.... too bad. Luckily I made a fast one and did not miss so much. Hee hee.

Bingo for my colleague who asked me during dinner why I was not worried that I will have stomachache after taking spicy food. Strike toto!

Sotong

This afternoon, I ordered Sotong, Hotdog and vegetables from Malay store at HarbourFront centre Food Junction. In the end, I became a Sotong!

After work, went home taking MRT. Initially I was playing with my DS but felt a bit sleepy so stopped playing and closed my eyes to take a rest. I remembered that the stop was at Bedok station and just left 4 stops before reaching final station at Pasir Ris. The next moment I woke up, felt that the train was moving at a different direction. With my eyes big big (though I have small eyes), the train was heading back towards another direction. Oh my god! I missed my stop and luckily I woke up on time. The train was heading to the next stop only. Imagine if I did not wake up and ended up back in Joo Koon station (last station from Pasir Ris), think I cannot forgive myself. This was the first time and hope will be my last time being so Sotong. Think cannot eat too much Sotong. Ha ha...

Watched final epi for Nobuta wo Produce. Though ending is the 3 good friends have to separate, it still give a very good ending. I liked the part where one of the teacher gave a small doll to each of them and said that whoever has a pair will be blessed with good lucks. During X'mas day celebration where they were exchanging gifts, the gift each of them opened was the little doll. Each one of them was thinking of making another one of their friend to be blessed. Touching isn't it?

Another part I found myself laughing out was that Shunji had to transfer to a new school due to his father's transfer to another branch office and was preparing to make a change to his usual behaviour (to be more mature). He made up his mind and decided to introduce himself to his new classmates in a more mature way. To his surprise, he saw Akira (Yamapi) there smiling at him in the classroom. Never think that Akira actually decided to transfer to the new school with him and he did it one day before him. This part made me feel happier that at least 2 of them were together again. Leaving Nobuta alone, made her to become more independent. She was able to smile happily and naturally, which is Shunji's and Akira's wishes to see her happy. :)

Nobuta wo Produce 野ブタ。をプロデュース

Just watched another 3 epi for Nobuta wo Produce. Like this drama a lot. Initially did not really like it as Yamapi is acting a weird character. However, as the story went on, I am "hooked" to this drama. The friendship among the 3 main characters are so touching. Nice one. Left last 2 epi which I believe I can finish them by tomorrow.

As usual, I begin to like the ending song (Seishun Amigo) sang by Yamapi and Kazuya Kamenashi (亀梨和也). They formed temporary group, Shuji to Akira, to promote J-drama and this song became the most successful single of the year 2005. Managed to find the mp3 and definitely will listen to it very frequently now. Very lively song . :P

Eye talk

I attended an eye talk together with my colleagues yesterday. This was arranged by our company to allow interested staff to know more about eye problem. There was a free eye screening and a few of us signed up for the session today.

After a few tests, I am glad that my eyes are healthy. My eyesights have improved. Lucky uh. Now I must continue to take good care and don't overwork them.

Today 小珠 and I left office slightly later than usual (target is before 7.30pm) as we are helping one of our colleague to clear her work while she is on leave. Hopefully, we can go back earlier tomorrow. Will try to do faster. In fact, it has been a few years since I access to the system. Luckily I can still remember how to use it and able to help out a bit. "宝刀未老" hee hee.

Facebook game craze

My niece came over to our house this week. She will be having her exam soon and therefore had to do her homework here before she started to play. However, my sister gave her some time to take a break in between to play DS before continuing her work. She is now playing Pokemon Pearl. To do a shortcut, she asked her dad to copy the .sav file from my DS where my brother has played for quite some time and saved to her DS. This allows her to play from a higher stage where most of the pokemon are already captured. Brilliant idea.

My sister and brother-in-law are so crazy on Facebook game ~ Cafe World. This is one of the recent popular new game where you need to cook dishes to serve your customers. There are timing for the dish to get ready hence you need to remember the timing well in order not to let it overcooks and get into waste. The moment they reached here, immediately asked for my laptop so that they can manage their dishes. Whole afternoon asking each other to help to look after their own cafe and make sure they serve on time once dishes are ready. Stranger will thought they are talking about cooking food at home but in actually fact, it is just game. I am playing this game too. Hee hee.

Dinner or Supper?

This afternoon, my sister wanted to send her luggage for repair hence she drove us to Siglap Drive. One of the wheel cracked and needs to be replaced before her trip in November to Lijiang. The shop staff asked if she wanted to change all the 4 wheels and she accepted since it is kind of weird to change one and left the rest intact. Will be troublesome to send for repair again if another wheel "give way".

We were very hungry and decided to eat at Bugis Junction MOF. Parked our car beside a very cute car. Doremon! Took a photo of it.

As usual, we chose the set and decided to order dessert too. As it was already almost 3pm when we reached there, the restaurant was not very crowded. However, they seems to be understaff where it took us quite some time to get one of them to notice our "waving". The Hokkaido ice-creams were great. The rice cakes were not too bad but found them a bit sweet. They may have put too much syrup.

We shopped around for a while and decided to head to VivoCity. I have intention to buy a pair of black shoe and going to try U.R.S. However, I could not find one which suit me and ended up buying a pair from Tang Studio. A bit expensive but my sister said their shoes are quite comfortable. Tried this pair and feel comfortable. Hope it will not "bite" my skin. Hee hee :)

Time flies and we took a break at Starbucks before going home. We were very thirsty. My sister and mum ordered hot tea. For me, cold drinks again. Ordered the Mango Passion ice-blend. Not too bad lei.

By the time we left the shopping mall, it was already 8pm. We decided to divert to Bedok interchange hawker centre to buy some food for my dad and for us who had our late lunch at 3pm. Bought Zui Kuah, 耗煎 and rojak. By the time we ate these food, it was already 9.45pm. Should I consider eating dinner or supper? So sinful again...

Food Food Food

Just back home after watching "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs". We watched the 3D version and found it to be a nice and back to childhood story. Imagine food falling from the sky. So good... We like the scene where the whole town was covered with ice-cream. Chocolate, strawberry, mint flavors etc. You can eat all you can and no need to pay for it. Hamburgers, pizzas, jelly beans, fruits etc raining down and eat them as and when you like. The story is simple but nice. Good one to relax after whole week of hardwork. :)

We had a super fast dinner at KFC before the movie. Though we watched 9pm show and suppose to have more time for dinner, we were held up with some work in office. Another colleague of ours joined us for dinner and too bad that we could not have more time to dine together. 小珠 and I ate zinger burger in around 5 mins and rushed off to the cinema. Luckily there is a grace period of 20mins for trailers and advertisements that enable us to reach on time within missing the start of the show.

Tried new restaurant ~ BBQ Chicken

Today we had lunch at West Coast Plaza (Ex Ginza Plaza). My colleague told us that she tried the food there and found it nice. Therefore asking us if we are interested. Of course we are and off we go!!! Took below photo at our office lobby while waiting for our colleague's car. :)

I ordered the Hot Hot Drum which is part of the set lunch that includes a main dish, soup, drink and ice-cream as dessert. This is really spicy and shiok. Will try it again. We ended up with a very full stomach back to office. So sinful, these few days I really ate a lot. Oh dear!

So tired now. Need to sleep. ZZZZZZZZZZ

Another wedding dinner

It's mid week now. 2 more days to go before weekend. Yippy!

Today we had lunch at VivoCity Food Republic foodcourt. We are craving for Kueh Tu Tu after taking our lunch hence bought 16pcs to share among few of us. Indeed, it tastes good. My sister and colleagues commented that this stall makes good and nice Kueh Tu Tu. However, find it a bit expensive. Used to buy 5 pcs for $2 at Pasar Malam. This stall sells 4pcs for $2.

We left office at 7pm as we were attending our colleague's wedding dinner held at Conrad hotel. Quite heavy traffic driving towards the hotel but luckily we were not late. The dinner started quite late at almost 9pm. Usually for weekdays, organisor will try to start the event early so that guests can go back early as next day is working day for most people.

We were so impressed by the dinner table set up. Usual wedding dinner was set up with just chopsticks and spoons but we had additional fork, spoon and knife. Perhaps it was because the dishes they serving were combination of chinese and western style. The ballroom set up was soothing too.

Most of the dishes served tasted good but we were too full to finish them. Our colleague is the groom and he was being "forced" to drink special drinks (mixture of red wine/hard liquor/beer etc) by his friends. He seldom drinks but is sporty enough to finish a few glasses on this happy occasion. However, he ended up staying in the hotel room at the end of the dinner and could not bid farewell to his guests (too drunk!). Poor guy.

Reached home rather late and I am so tired. Tomorrow still have to go to work. How I wish today is Friday night...

No J-drama

This is the second night that I did not watch J-drama as I am feeling tired and have no energy to sit still in front of my laptop to watch them. There are so many outstanding episodes that I yet to finish them. Plus Naruto and Bleach which I have about 20 episodes to follow in order to get up to date story. Well, I shall watch slowly and ensure I have enough rest. Old liao... Ha ha :)

Saw this photo in Takeru's blog. He looks so weird. Maybe his hairdo was done halfway. He is playing a role in NHK new drama 龍馬伝 which will broadcast in 2010. I think he needs to eat more. So skinny...

Rookies fever comes back

Today I thought of continuing to watch "魂" but ended up watching "Rookies" first few episodes. Do not know why I have the urge to re-watch it. Although I have already watched it once, certain scenes still make me feel so touched. Really like this J-drama. Why isn't it being broadcast in Singapore? I am sure many people will like it.

Went for dinner at Tampines 1. Usual dining place ~ Sushi Tei. My mother craving for it hence we went for it. I thought of eating ice-cream after the dinner but gave up as I was too full. Will eat it some other time.

When we came home, my sister realised that her vouchers are going to expire and asked me to check mine. Oh dear!!! Mine already expired. The vouchers worth $100 for Swensen restaurant. I have to try calling Citibank to check if they can extend the expiry date for me. Otherwise, really wasted uh. They give only 3 months validity which is rather short. I prefer UOB as their validity is longer. Hope I can get the extension. Cross my fingers...

Back to work tomorrow. Need to wait for another weekend...

Mid Autumn Festival

Today is Mid Autumn Festival. A day where my cousin is getting married too. My mum went over to his house for the "tea ceremony" this morning. I did not go along as I was too tired to wake up so early. Same as my sister. Therefore my mum had to go alone (my dad needs to work).

I stayed at home and watched Korea drama series "魂" which is recommended by my colleague. Watched 2 episodes and think it is not as scary as what my colleague had described. Or maybe the scary parts yet to be shown. Shall continue watching in day time. Ha ha.

We left house at 6.15pm and reached Singapore Convention hall at 6.50pm. Since it was still early, we went to have coffee/tea. Surprisingly, all guests came rather early and the ceremony started at 8.15pm. My cousin is in airforce and with his rank, his wedding is going through the army ceremony. First time I witnessed such ceremony and find it great.

The food we had tonight was good and rarely ballroom dinner is that good. Maybe they chose the correct dishes. I ate too much and now feeling so bloated. Cannot sleep early tonight. Need to digest a little bit more.

Tomorrow is Sunday hence can wake up a little bit later. My niece is not coming over tomorrow as she has homework to finish. Therefore, I do not need to worry that she will wake me up whenever she reach our house. :P

Oh yah, today is also another day to remember. It is our 16th years staying in this house. Happy anniversary!

Friday 星期五 金曜日

Friday 星期五 金曜日, I love every of this day of the week. :)

This afternoon, our company organised a mooncake tasting session. We signed up for it although knowing that we cannot eat much. Just joined for the fun. I tried mostly snowskin mini mooncakes. Had a few cups of tea after that. Not bad huh.

Quite busy during evening and finally managed to get out of office on time before the movie started. 7pm show and we reached at 7.15pm. Shows usually start 20mins later after trailers and commercial advertisements.

After watching "Surrogates", we find it not realistic to have it in real life. Imagine your colleagues sitting next to you are "robots", eating next to you are "robots", shopping next to you are "robots" and you yourself standing out there is also a "robot". Terrible imagination. Everyone will become big and fat by sitting at home whole day. Ha ha...

We had fish beehoon noodle after the movie. I was choosing between LJS and this noodle. Since Monday we had LJS, we proceeded to HarbourFront Centre Banquet foodcourt for dinner.

Body aching

Hmmm... today I really have body aching especially my buttock. So pain. Many times, I forgot about it and got a sharp pain when I accidentally pressed too hard onto the chair. Do not know how long it takes to subside.

Tomorrow it is our movie day again. Watched one on Monday and will be catching another one on Friday. This is the only time for me to relax before weekend. We left office rather late today as I need to clear some paperwork for work that I am covering for my colleague who is on leave today. We decided on 7pm show and bought tickets for "Surrogates" before taking cab home.

Looking forward to weekend. :)
