Busy

This morning, brought my dad to see Heart Specialist.  Appoint was set at 9.30am.  My dad had to fast since last night.

Reached Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre at Novena on time and we waited for a while to see the doctor.  He doctor explained to us that there is a need to find out what led to my father's fainting and best was to go for a ultra scan, ct scan and 24hr ECG test.

Did the ultra scan at the clinic and had to go to another clinic for the ct scan.  Went for the ct scan fixed at 11.30am.  However, after 15mins that my dad went for the scan, the Heart Centre clinic called me and explained to me that the ct scan had to stopped halfway as there was visible high calcium in my dad's heart.  With that, it was pointless to go thru the test.  Asked us to return to the Heart Centre in the afternoon to see doctor again.

The doctor explained the situation to us and recommended my dad to go thru another procedure whereby a tiny wire will be inserted at his wrist and thru the vein led to the heart to see how bad is the blockage.  There will be 3 possible scenarios.  First is not so bad and medication will be enough.  Second was to ballooned the blocked vein(s) and insert a thin layer of wire to widen the vessel(s).  If it is really bad, a heart bypass need to be done.

I really hope medication will be sufficient.  Talked to my dad and he agrees to go thru the procedure to see what really happen.  Doctor said that his condition may not be that bad but he could not guarantee until the procedure done to view the inner heart.

Back in office only at 4.30pm and rushed to handle my enquiries.  Many today but could not close.  Work piling up and stayed late in office to complete.  Tomorrow not intend to go back office.
