Day 1 : Arrived Zurich. Heading to Bellinzona

Arrived Zurich airport at 8am. Did not sleep well in the plane as I am used to sleeping only on bed. Watched just 2 1/2 movies in the plane. Halfway through for "The Black Swan". Did not watch earlier when it was screened and heard good reviews. Was indeed good and shall continue the rest during flight back to Singapore.

We exchanged our vouchers for our Swiss Pass. It was not a long queue but we still missed the first available train which we planned to take. In the end, we had time to walk around the airport. During our first trip there, we did not have any chance to walk around. Went to Migros to buy spent my first expense ~ A bottle of mineral water. :)

Took around 4 hrs to reach Bellinzona. With Ricky's clear and detailed direction, we managed to find our his house. He is a Taiwanese who run 2 rooms for renting to travellers. He has a dog, Tokyo, but I was not afraid of it. It did not bother to touch us or go near us. Quiet and obedient dog. Lucky uh... cos I am afraid of dogs in fact.

Ricky's recommendation was to go to the 2 bigger castles near Bellinzona town. There are 3 but since the third one is rather small, not necessary to go. Hence, we headed for the 2 castles.

Managed to find the entrance of the biggest castle, Castlegrande, by lift through a helpful local guy. Glad that we need not go up by stairs. So high uh...

Nice castle with nice views. We spent quite some time there taking pictures. While taking a photo, 小珠's cap was blown away. Lying in the vineyard with no access to public. This made her hair exposed to the strong sunlight. Need to take care to prevent sun burnt on her scalp. We got it at our Toyama trip. Did not realise it until we ended up with reddish and flaky scalp.

After that, we went to look for the 2nd one, Castello di montebello, which is somewhere near the town too. However, after walking around, we finally found it. The path leading to the castle was so strange. Narrow alley and remote hilly path where we thought that we had gone wrongly to people's houses. Met some locals and knew that we went by the right way. It was so hilly that I need to take rest after few steps. So tough... why no lifts lei???

To get rest, we ate our snacks half way to the castle. After getting energy, we continued our journey. Finally reached the castle. As it is not peak season now, the place was so deserted with only the 2 of us. Luckily Switzerland is consider a safe place. Otherwise, being kidnapped there will lead to no one to know. Ha ha ha...

We got back to town after taking some pictures. Timing was just nice to walk back to Ricky's house to have our complimentary dinner. We were staying 3 nights there hence got a free dinner and we chose to have it tonight. The dinner was great and we are so tired hence will sleep super early today.

Greeted us were nice flowers in Zurich airport
